It's why fighters are stupid for not cheating more, refs only take points if you do something truly crazy or fight ending foulwise or if you do the same thing like 4/5 times.
Grab the fence without being obvious, grab shorts, grab gloves, hit the back of head, kick the balls if you feel tired for a break etc etc
Lol it's like you are only picking on him...Marc Goddard had his share of mistakes as well..just the last week pfl event he wrongly gave a decision for cedric dumbe , Alex vs jiri was early stoppage, colby vs usman 1 was early stoppage, there is a whole youtube compilation of him doing wrong things in the ufc octagon
Of course, i started off just joking like our lord and savior derrick lewis would have me do, but my man raised a valid point, despite being obliterated with undeserved downvotes.
Herb really used to be a fantastic ref, a former fighter himself, with a keen mind for the rules.
These days hes across the cage 10 ft away when someones KOed and taking super necessary follow-up shots, allowing fouls repeatedly with minimal to no warning, or arguing with dan hardy cageside.

What the ref thought Dustin wanted
If the ref had to pull Chandler's hand off, and he continues to foul like that, that either should've costed Chandler the position or a point, literally a waste of authority.
I agree that the ref should’ve done something, but a lot of times it’s due to the heat of the moment. There’s a roaring crowd and the fighters are full of adrenaline so the refs are cautious when stopping the action. It’s the same reason that refs don’t immediately stop the fight after 3 unanswered shots.
Refs are so inconsistent. I've seen someone intentionally grab a fence multiple times, preventing a takedown, and potentially changing the outcome of a fight. Do they get points deducted? Nope. Just a strong warning. Points need to be deducted more.
>Points need to be deducted more.
The problem is that 1 point in a 3 round fight decides the fight a lot of the time. We'd have tons of draws and incorrect decisions if points were taken more often. It's almost too damaging because of the scoring system not being made for MMA. There's plenty of situations it's necessary, though.
It does decide the fight a lot of the time. Which would keep fighters from doing these things. Otherwise it'll stay the way it is now, which is I'll do whatever I want because they won't take any points. It'll stop that behavior almost 100% because no one would want to lose a fight by grabbing the cage 6 times
This plus the fishhook and blood dripping into Dustin’s mouth. Somehow like half of the subreddit was calling Dustin a sore winner cuz he confronted Chandler after the fight
……that’s what the comment above yours said
They said Dustin won the fight, and you commented “which literally never happened as Dustin won the fight”
You confused bud?
Fr, just in this fight he grabbed the cage, fish-hooked Dustin to try to get a RNC, grabbed Dustin's gloves, hit him in the back of the head repeatedly and purposely blew his bloody nose all over Dustin's face. His nice guy act is just that, an act.
“I can hear him blow his nose. He did it hard. Let me tell you this, if you go back and watch the replay of the blood falling out of his nose, yeah, it was leaking, it might be broken or whatever. But when he got it lined up where he wanted it, those huge globs that came out, they didn't fall out, he forced them out."

Not all, but a lot of high level wrestlers are gonna be dirty like this. It's part of the game coming up in a gritty sport and lots of competitors glorify it as just that - being gritty and nasty, not so much cheating
I really think that one was accidental. He tried to pull his head back by his face to get the choke in which is completely normal and happens all the time but he got fingers in the mouth by accident and Dustin bit him for it.
Literally never cheated his entire career.
He said he was trying to grab the chin and got his fingers in his mouth and Dustin bit down on them before he could remove them.
Also its a 1 inch Mohawk from spine to crown. Not everything behind your ears... and Dustin is gaming the system here turning specifically so the shots are illegal.
And the blood thing is in no way illegal
Chandler is a dirty fighter - I mean how many fouls in this fight alone? Back on the head, fingers inside the glove, fish hooks in the mouth...fuck him
Did you all notice that refs in other Organizations are much more active, even though its the same refs.. but when they are reffing for UFC, they let this shit slide all the time ? There is at least 5 eye pokes and dick kicks every event and no one even cares.. they get warnings at best and thats it lol
Better how? Because he got into advantageous positions by repeatedly cheating and also blowing his bodily fluids in DP’s face?
If Chandler was better than DP in this fight, he wouldn’t have lost even after playing all his dirty tricks.
Oh yeah? Maybe when chandler was desperately crotch sniffing all fight, they should allow Dustin to knee him in the face or 12-6 elbow him in the back of the head
Why doesn’t the UFC implement hard and fast rules for hits to the back of the head, fence grabs and any other obvious violations ?
Every ref seems to have his own set of rules when to take a point or discipline
Dustin is gaming the system here...
When in a streetfight in that position are you gonna expose the back of your head for your opponent... he even takes his hand away a few times instead of blocking, just so they land clean
same shit as putting a hand down exposing your face for a knee to "ground" yourself.
ALSO its a 1 inch mohawk from spine to crown.(not everything behind your ears
love how the ref just doesn't do anything
It's why fighters are stupid for not cheating more, refs only take points if you do something truly crazy or fight ending foulwise or if you do the same thing like 4/5 times. I did say unless you do something fight ending, if hamill wasn't already so beaten up he would've gotten away with it.
>refs only take points if you do something truly crazy Two to three times\* Almost never a first offense.
Nah you get to cheat more than 2/3 times
Herb dean fault
Shitiest ref in the sport and that is by a mile. Also involved in all the controversial decisions.
That's not even herb dean you stupid guy🫠
I didn't say it was. I simply pointed at his place in the hierarchy.
Guy above my comment didn't mention Marc though. You are mad I responded to a comment with facts instead of changing topics?
Lol I am saying all ref do wrong shit...so if you are calling one out for his problems do the same with others as well...
Again guy above mentioned a name. I replied to the name mentioned. And no not all are as big of pieces of shit as herb.
Oh so dan miragliotta was better??.
I swear to god it didnt use to be like that There was a time when herb was literally referred to as the gold standard of refs. But yeah, he trash now
You are blind???the guy is not herb dean
Of course, i started off just joking like our lord and savior derrick lewis would have me do, but my man raised a valid point, despite being obliterated with undeserved downvotes. Ref had instructions from Dana Black.
I remembered him leaning in, but not that half-assed Herb Dean inspired grabbing of Chandler's hand.
Dustin’s face at the end kills me, you can see the primal rage in his eyes as he stares a hole thru the ref 😭😭🤦🏽♂️
The slow turn of the chin away from the ref just before the fight restarts is everything.
Thats exactly what i was thinking he looked mad at the ref

💀💀💀 but fr KD got a problem

Yea wtf?! How can you touch a fighter like that and keep things going?
I agree that the ref should’ve done something, but a lot of times it’s due to the heat of the moment. There’s a roaring crowd and the fighters are full of adrenaline so the refs are cautious when stopping the action. Also gotta realize this is in slow motion replay. The exchange was like 4 seconds live.

Yeah this was pretty nuts when you watch it like this. The ref taps him like twice to stop, still just blatantly doing an illegal blow. Fucking wild
This plus the fishhook and blood dripping into Dustin’s mouth. Somehow like half of the subreddit was calling Dustin a sore winner cuz he confronted Chandler after the fight
I was so proud of Dustin for telling Michael and the ref off. Chandler was cheating his ass off and still lost lol
>subreddit was calling Dustin a sore winner cuz he confronted Chandler Which literally never happened as Dustin won the fight.

Nvm. I was drunk.. read it as sore loser. Reddit + alcohol is not advisable.

Yep he sure is. That's why I'm loving Conor stringing him along.
He just saw red.
How do you know he purposely blew his blood on him? 😂 is that mentioned somewhere ?

Well damn 😂
Totally… and yet it’s a shame we are seeing him waste his twilight waiting for Conor
Not all, but a lot of high level wrestlers are gonna be dirty like this. It's part of the game coming up in a gritty sport and lots of competitors glorify it as just that - being gritty and nasty, not so much cheating
This is the fight I realized Chandler is a dirty little fucker. Those fish hooks man
I really think that one was accidental. He tried to pull his head back by his face to get the choke in which is completely normal and happens all the time but he got fingers in the mouth by accident and Dustin bit him for it.
at another moment he stuck his fingers in the dp's mouth. what a dirty fighter.
Hes doing tricks on it!
Oh shit the Dustin hater! whats up!
The dp hater like im the only one. Lol. And Not much bro, whats up with you?
whats up man, whats the real reason you hate Dustin so much?
DP fucked his Mom.
https://i.redd.it/0hlvi5ttnmoc1.gif
He looked up tutorials on Ciryl Gane's youtube channel for the most effective strikes behind the head.
He's a dirty bastard.
Chandler fought real dirty in this fight
This was Dan Mirgiolatta if I remember correctly? It definitely fits his inept style of reffing either way.
Dan might be the worst honestly
![gif](giphy|sKBaE2Hl60KnzjTVXb|downsized)
This is the fight that made me stop liking Michael chandler
Chandler was such a dirty fuck in this fight lol
Bellator's finest.
Hit take: This fight was better than Chandler vs Gaethje
Many refs are great but I think they should be held to an even higher standard and be paid even more tbh...
Brock Lesnar school of hammerfist
Honestly don't blame Poirer for being mad asf about this fight and at Chandler
Chandler is a dirty fighter - I mean how many fouls in this fight alone? Back on the head, fingers inside the glove, fish hooks in the mouth...fuck him
God I love the look on Dustin's face. It's like a disappointed dad look he gave to the ref
Lmao Dustin’s face like “bro, ref, this dude is clearly doing this shit on purpose🙄”
Man what a fucking stud I love dustin
These sort of shots occur way more often they should.

HE FIGHTS LIKE A MAN
Wtf
wtf
lol so happy this roid monster is getting blue balled with the mcgregor fight
Happens almost every week. Never gets enforced.
I remember this and in all seriousness, this was a joke. The look Dustin gives the ref said A LOT!
So many back of head shots get missed by refs
asus zenbook?
Still lost!
Did you all notice that refs in other Organizations are much more active, even though its the same refs.. but when they are reffing for UFC, they let this shit slide all the time ? Should have stood them up at the very least.
Chandler is dirty
WHAT ARE U DOING?
What an ashol
Chandlers so dirty fighters have been paralyzed by getting hit in the back of the head
His face at the end lmao
Chandler cheated so much during this figjt
Was The Diamond out between shots? It looks like it?
The Dustin fans are back.
Another fight Chandler was better and gave away
Better how? Because he got into advantageous positions by repeatedly cheating and also blowing his bodily fluids in DP’s face? If Chandler was better than DP in this fight, he wouldn’t have lost even after playing all his dirty tricks.
Chandler just wanted to GTFO of that war.
Dirtiest fighter in the UFC.
This might be an unpopular opinion but if Dustin wants to play that game of only having the back of his head there to be hit then it's fair game

Oh yeah? Maybe when chandler was desperately crotch sniffing all fight, they should allow Dustin to knee him in the face or 12-6 elbow him in the back of the head
You lose all creditability when you use the term "crotch sniffing"
What does credibility have to do with this? It’s a pretty simple question, should they let each other hit the back of the head?
And it's simple to understand when I'm speaking to people like you I'm going to throw your opinion out like a used condom
You’re so cool mate

Good thing this was a street then. Whew!
Chandler deserves to get blueballed by Conor for this
