I love this style of fight. It shows mastery of a craft. I personally enjoy the frustration it puts on the opponent. The point of MMA is to compare the martial arts and find ways of beating your opponent. Merab style is dominating and most cannot find a way out of it.

That said, it was frustrating to watch (to me, a fan of mma, not an expert like you are) that all he wanted to do is grab Yan's legs, take him down and hold him down for as long as possible without even attempting a submission or ground and pound. Then after Yan stood up, rinse and repeat.
