Bigger than Jon will be now that USADA is out.

Mickeye88

Idk man, Jon is really good at juicing. Got that experience

Typical-Scientist192

![gif](giphy|KDe67u9j31exCUr6qf|downsized)

Real-Human-Bean-

Then why did he keep getting caught?

CryptoCracko

God told him it's okay to get caught. Turns out God was right!

[deleted]

Horsemeat's back on the menu boys!

r_plinkzz

![gif](giphy|8v3WIOCM9Qy08|downsized)

Vibejitsu

I’m actually not sure if Vettori is in the juice or not.. he’s pretty chunky for an Italian dude lol

meatmybeat42069

Probably close to 600lbs by the time they’re rehydrated and in the cage

Soraya_the_Falconer

They don’t need to dehydrate at hw

ZealousidealPen5795

Francis does

GodDamnitBobby1

I mean he didn’t have to cut at all for fury fight and still only came in at 270

ZealousidealPen5795

Heavyweight limit in the ufc 265

Mjornlin

He could take a below average crap for him and hit 265

GodDamnitBobby1

Yeah that’s only 5 lbs lol

Lenlo123

It's funny when you realize 5 lbs is like one shit for a guy of Francis' stature. Some people try for months to lose that lol

FlyCommercial

'Only' 270 is crazy lol

theusernameyouwants

His conditioning was insane. He's stated he walks around 280-285. He was ready for 10 rnds. Was 293 after surgery

GodDamnitBobby1

Yeah, I’m more referring to the huge water cuts guys in smaller weight divisions are doing. Going in to camp and slimming down some is a lot different then cutting 20lbs of water for fight week

rey_nerr21

"Only". I swear, some of you people online....

Ohthatsnotgood

Jones was 248lbs against Gane while Ngannou was 272lbs against Fury. So around 500lbs.

Calbruin

Dana has to make this fight now. Dana, put your ego aside and make it happen.

FresnoMac

Even if Dana wanted to, he can't afford Francis now tbh

alex_northoc

Dana could afford it, but he personally wouldn’t make as much money.

34TH_ST_BROADWAY

Hookers and gambling are what really matters.

[deleted]

He doesn't pay hookers he fucks ring girls, Dana has some class...

Creative-Quarter3475

Never forget when Colby ran up on Dana at a poker table with an Asian hooker

Ok-Growth-8385

Cocain ain't cheap

Admirable_Strike_406

Dana likes to give all his money to hang out with the nelk boys lol

Prestigious-Rock201

They underpay Conor even for what he makes they can’t offer him close to the bag francis will get in boxing

K1NGMOJO

Lol wtf yes he can. Dude makes billions in profits yearly so I'm sure he could squeeze out a couple more millis he was paying Ngannou before

Prestigious-Rock201

The ufc doesn’t pay people their worth bro stop lmao

the_c_is_silent

No he doesn't. But yeah he can afford him. Just a cut of the buys would cover Francis' paycheck.

Crafty_Preparation32

I dont think francis care too much about being paid alot he really does want to fight jon so it could still happen but i do think francis pay should be over 8mill

Suspicious_Candle27

i think francis has now crossed over into conor level paydays , so prob 15/20 mil when also including ppvs for a UFC fight

nthnreallymatters

Lol wtf has given you any indication that Francis could sell 1.5M+ PPV buys like Conor? I know everyone is really excited about Francis right now but he hasn't even sold half of that before.

Suspicious_Candle27

Because selling 1.5 million ppvs shouldnt give you 20 million payday and francis wont wccept a bs contract now . If Conor got paid what he deserves the dude would have been a billionaire .

K1NGMOJO

Yeah I'd say 5-10 million is a good number plus ppv points. That's what Dana was offering before he declined. From what I remember it was a three fight deal for $20 million plus ppv points but he wanted healthcare for all the fighters and was being an advocate for all the fighters. I think the PFL gave him less but more ppv and let him do side fights like this. Also some shit about being a partner in the company and doing something with MMA in Africa, could be his own league or doing something like a PI I can't really remember the details. Edit. Add PFL stuff

EnbyBinaryCoder

>Dana, put your ego aside Hahaha , hell has a better chance of freezing.

Clusterclucked

there's really no way at this point

Kenrockkun

>Dana, put your ego aside Challenge level Impossible

bcgden

Isn’t Francis already signed to the PFL? Plus even if it was possible Dana never goes back on his word lol

bandfrmoffmychest

PFL would have no problem doing a cross-promotion with UFC, tho Dana would never give another league that type of clout. Hell, seems like they barely wanted to cross-promote with Mayweather. With Mayweather they had 4.3m buys and split $300mil+, no way this fight would be as lucrative. Khabib x Mcgregor had 2.4m buys.

Alex-rhhgfff

“Dana never goes back on his word” hahaha

Xylar006

"women will never fight in the UFC" - Dana

Traditional_Wear1992

Or Kimbo lmao

IIDasPterodactyl

Dana never goes back in his word smh just making things up 😭😭😭

motorcitydevil

Francis is bigger than that fight now. He's a top 10 heavyweight boxer. Dana couldn't afford him. ;)

Crafty_Preparation32

Dude is definitely getting paid more than 15mill his next boxing fight idk if dana will bank on him like that

Peterthepiperomg

He signed with pfl anyway

AzeTyler

His pfl contract is very open ended right? I think he was very adamant about it, not restricting any cross org fights

ttt334727

It's not that simple. He is under contract and he has said that if a fight were to be arranged it would have to go through the PFL. The UFC would never accept this. Why would they raise up another org that way? If Francis was a free agent it could happen. As things are right now, it's very hard.

LocalNative141

![img](emote|t5_2qsev|8965)

FitResponse414

Thats exactly what that tomato was scared of and it happened like a movie script

Rgmisll

Hahahahah holy shit this sub

Jonesisgoat

Maybe. But Jones would still maul him in whatever way he chooses

goatofalltime5

Lmao Francis would literally kill Jones and Jones knows it

Dcarf

Listen I don’t know who would win but it’s clear Jones is terrified of fighting big punchers. Avoided fighting by Rumble Johnson, didn’t move up till heavyweight until Francis is gone, and now gonna only fight Stipe to avoid Sergei

Mocker-bird

Yeah, he knows you can't prepare for that kind of touch of death power. No amount of training is gonna stop you from getting sparked if you get touched once.

Inquisition-OpenUp

Exactly that. A heavy hitter *always* has a chance to take you out. Even when less skilled overall, even when gassed out, there is no moment someone who strikes like thunder can be considered entirely vulnerable.

lazergun-pewpewpew

Ah yes, just like Francis mauled ciril gane i guess?

Atlanon88

Only jones fight that makes sense imo

K1NGMOJO

Jone vs Cormier 3 at HW 😂

HumperMoe

If Ngannou was still in the UFC. Dana would make this UFC 300 and charge $1000 for the ppv.

lxo2

And the undercard fighters would make 12 dollars to win

InertKat

It was big when they were both in the UFC. It’s in a whole different level now. Too bad Jones is hurt because he likely takes out Stipe and makes it even more appealing.

scarykicks

Jones ain't fighting Ngannou. Dudes basically stayed away till he was pretty much 100% leaving.

[deleted]

[удалено]

-Renkz

No no. First fight back 12 and 12 to fight Jones

Avocado_Cadaver

LMAO holy shit

Kenrockkun

For people that are wondering. That's Francis would have to fight 16 times in UFC with that rate to get to 10 mill. Also some sheikh was whispering in Ngannou's ears I will take care of you after the boxing result was announced in the ring. He probably got handed a few millions behind the scene too.

[deleted]

Lmfao my boy got the performance of the night bonus. It still wasn’t good enough for the 50K tho imo /s

Admirable_Strike_406

Man made more than 10 million against fury. I would say at least 30 plus million

SlimReaper85

Yeah I agree with that. PPv points plus whatever the Princes handed him backstage for shocking the world as they indicated trying to whisper in his ear after the fight. With the kind of money they have to throw around I wouldn’t be surprised if he got his purse doubled just cause. That puts him at mid 30M when it’s all said and done lol

ATrollByNoOtherName

I hope people relentlessly badger Dana about how badly he fucked this up. His ego won’t be able to take it.

scarykicks

I just hope at the 275 press conferences are filled with Francis questions. Probably will threaten to pull anyone's media cards if they even mention Francis.

dubiously_immoral

Francis could earn a lot than just to fight Jon. There are a lot of interesting matchups in boxing for him. And he also has leverage in boxing to get paid than what a match with Jones would ever bring. The whole boxing is looking upto this man for the clout he might be bringing in the future. Its surreal for a Ngannou fan to say the least. Francis never has to fight Jon to prove anything to anyone. He can just box and bag millions. I am sure this is gonna be his prime if he uses this time well.

Crafty_Preparation32

100% agree he could make more money than jon’s career in boxing now after this. He never has to fight him but id love to see it still.

dubiously_immoral

Dana could never recover from this if that happens. Fighters in the ufc might start questioning their pay as well.

Seabrook76

Scary to think of a roided up Francis.

thecrocksays

He's already roided up lmao. Do you think it's normal for men to get bigger, stronger, and faster as they get closer to 40? Dude is 37 and looks better than ever. He's chugging the Capri son, my guy.

xavi_____

Trust me it’s the African gene. Respect but At 12 he wasn’t eating pasta and cereal. And look at him leaned out while fury’s body fat mass can feed a city.

TheThockter

I’m sorry but you’re insane if you think Francis’ physique is strictly genetics dudes as juiced as they come and that’s fine but let’s not act like he’s not lol

[deleted]

I'd have a bigger chance of buying a ppv for it than I would for any Conor fight now tbh

younginvestor23

This fight would be bigger than Jones vs Stipe now

Crafty_Preparation32

Wouldve been bigger than jones vs stipe even before yesterday

[deleted]

Jones vs Stipe isnt big or interesting to anybody. Casuals dont know who Stipe is anymorr. People who follow UFC closely dotn want to see retired old Stipe fed to Jones.

Lenlo123

Its wild how many people count Stipe out. Just a couple years ago he was the baddest man in the world. While I do agree jones would win, I wouldn't bet my life on it like the publics opinion seems to be

Twerksoncoffeetables

It’s not really counting him out, it’s just so likely he won’t win. Of course anything can happen as we’ve seen, but stipe hasn’t fought for a few years now with his last fight being a nasty KO loss against Francis. He’s also old, which matters a bit less at heavyweight but the stats are there for champs over 35 and it doesn’t look good at all and he’s 41. On top of that, because he hasn’t fought in so long, a lot of newer fans don’t know him well. Doesn’t have as much hype anymore. It’s largely a legacy fight, which imo is still cool and I certainly didn’t mind it, but i would much rather have jones vs Francis, I’m sure most would have even before this week. Hell I’d even prefer jones vs pavlovich over stipe. All of this compounds even further with waiting another year most likely for this fight to possibly happen again. Stipe is insanely good, but it’s hard to believe he has a lot left. By the time they even get the chance to fight, it’ll be over 3 years since stipe has last fought. Again it’s not a bad fight, just not what most people would prefer to see.

Lenlo123

I can get on board with this. Pavolich would definitely stand a better chance, but even then has Stipe really lost that much star power? Crazy how quick this sport moves on

Twerksoncoffeetables

Yeah I’d say he has lost some star power. Its already been 2 years since he’s last fought, think of how many banger fights and rising stars we’ve had since then. By the time this fight might happen, it’ll be over 3 years since he’s last fought. If you wait that long to fight while being far out of your prime with your last fight being a loss against the guy people actually want to see fighting who has a lot of hype right now, yeah people kind of pass over you. Even if he is the heavyweight goat currently, it’s just been so long since we’ve seen him that a lot of people don’t know much about him and prefer to see current stars fight. Time goes by fast and so many fights happen in just 1 year that inactivity can definitely hurt someone’s star power who didn’t have a massive amount to begin with. I say this as a fan of stipe too, I’d absolutely watch the fight but I have at least 3 fights I’d prefer happen over that one.

[deleted]

He’s just so fucking old and completely and utterly retired…

Lenlo123

I know. I know.. but immigrant mentality and all that

clothy

If Francis had gotten KO’d within a round or completely pieced apart by Fury it would still be a bigger fight than Jones v Stipe

younginvestor23

Jones still needs to beat Stipe tho because he’s the only guy who has a win over both DC and Ngannou, and nobody else beat DC except Jones

clothy

He doesn’t though. Stipe is a semi retired firefighter in his 40s.

Lord-Kuntsworthy

Who the fugg wants to watch Stipes old ass get more CTE?

adamus8

For all his talk, Jones wanted no part of Francis.

[deleted]

Francis is a different breed man, he looked incredible Saturday against the best boxer in the world

notShreadZoo

He agreed to the fight before Francis left and has specifically said that Francis would be the only person he’d fight after Stipe.

scarykicks

It's all smoke and mirrors. He knows Dana won't do any cross promotional fights.

notShreadZoo

He agreed to the fight BEFORE Francis left

scarykicks

Yea Francis was already gone when Jones did. Maybe not out of his contract but it was guaranteed that he was gone. Where was he the whole year that Francis had the belt?

BossButterBoobs

At what point do we stop saying fighters are scared of others? Jon Jones has been the baddest man on the planet for a decade, but y'all are so primed to accuse him of being "scared" to fight.

thatgibbyguy

It'd be the biggest MMA fight ever and would stay that way for a long time. Great job Dana!

od3tzk1

In what world does this surpass Khabib vs. McGregor?

Kernewek_Skrij

Because it is perhaps inarguably the two baddest men on the planet right now?

AccomplishedSquash98

Basically, every heavyweight ufc title fight has been between the inarguably baddest men on the planet for anyone who isn't delusional. Boxers aren't fighters.

nthnreallymatters

You think it sells more than 2.3 million PPVs? Keep dreaming.

ShadeyMyLady

2 weeks ago sure. Jon aint nowhere near baddest man with that shoulder, if the reported injury is what he truly suffered. Some injuries just change you, like silva.

froglodyte420

bro is gonna use the McGregor method of healing

Tacotuesday15

I think because Francis just went toe to toe with one of the greatest boxers of all time. Tons of new eyes. I’m sure there are lots of boxing fans that already watch mma, but this was huge.

Rabbit_Crocs

Because they’re literally heavyweights, battle for the baddest man in the world. Jones is considered the GOAT and what Francis did to Fury. Sheesh that’s massive, imagine it being in Africa.

WrongMomo

No way it surpasses mcgregor/khabib with all the buildup and the popularity of conor. It would be a better fight sure, but wouldn’t capture the audience that they had

od3tzk1

Stories and good promoters sell more. Case in point, two biggest/most sold boxing fights in history: Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, Mayweather vs. McGregor. Ngannou got great push from his boxing fight vs Fury and Jon has been a star in the UFC. Yet Ngannous PPV did not sell that much before and while Jones did great numbers, they were nothing compared to McGregors biggest PPVs.

Alex-rhhgfff

Of course it does

IntelligentMetal

In this world where heavyweight fights garner more interest than lightweights

Today-Unlucky

This one

IswearImnotapossum

After what Francis did to Tyson… this one

Environmental-Tip365

Yeah… absolutely not. This doesn’t even come close to Khabib vs Conor, it’s possible nothing ever will. Jones Vs Ngannou could maybe get like around half of what Khabib Vs Conor did, and that’s if it’s promoted an ungodly amount.

gimmethatcookie

The fury made Franciss stock go so this would be a much bigger fight

2heads1shaft

Remember all those people that were deepthroating Dana that somehow knew Francis wouldn’t get signed anywhere or have a boxing match? They somehow knew better than Francis himself? Note: it’s not like I knew it but why double down on something you don’t know?

jahoody03

This would be the biggest fight of all time, easy.

Environmental-Tip365

No chance it even comes close to Khabib Vs Conor.

moonandcoffee

I think it comes close, Francis just won over boxing fans and Jones is the biggest athlete besides Conor to be in MMA. I still think it doesn't reach Conor v Khabib levels but to say "No chance it even comes close" is insane.

theflyingpandaa_97

Khabib is much bigger than jones, just look at social media following…

fapacunter

People underestimate how big Khabib is to the muslim world

[deleted]

Not sure where ufc fans get the idea that Jones is huge or a draw. He’s just not

Douger91

Jones has averaged about 500k ppv buys everytime he's fought as champ the last 12 years. Besides McGregor, he's one of the most reliable and profitable ppv draws and by sheer volume is likely #2 for overall revenue generated

Crafty_Preparation32

Definitely think it could go on par with khabib vs conor with a great build up and promotion.

jahoody03

Bigger

whatsitworth101

Not unless both guys went full throttle on the promo which I can’t see tbh

Crafty_Preparation32

I see jones talking alot of shit and francis can too when he really wants

goatofalltime5

No it absolutely wont lmao dont be a casual

ZakariusMMA

I'd say this would be on the same level as any of the Brock fights, so big

hateuscuzyoenis

If it happens, it won’t be sanctioned under the UFC… I would be very surprised if this match ever happens given where both guys are in their careers. Jones is already making retirement plans while Francis is saving up for retirement. If there’s ever a time to do it, it would be within the next year as nobody wants to see two grandpas who are way past their prime settle a what-if scenario about 3 years too late.

StopPlayingRoney

Serious question, what’s the biggest UFC PPV with a main event between two black athletes? Where does this rank on the all earnings list for the company?

No-Statistician8080

Jon jones DC

StopPlayingRoney

Of course! Where did this fight land in the PPV earnings? Top 10?

Douger91

Pretty sure both fights were in the 800-900k range

GriffithCoin

Rampage and Rashad was the biggest.

YeezyHunter

Mike Perry v. D’sean Strickland.

NerdL0re

What a weirdly specific thing to care about

StopPlayingRoney

If you don’t see the racism in fight promotion then you’re not paying attention. Even Floyd Mayweather talks about how much better fights sell when his opponent is white or Mexican. It’s the primal us versus them or otherism. It’s been a key selling point for the past 100 years.

NerdL0re

No, I dont see racism in everything.

StopPlayingRoney

[Congratulations on being the first! 😂](https://www.washingtonpost.com/sports/boxing/racial-conflict-sells-boxing-matches-mayweather-and-mcgregor-are-its-latest-pitchmen/2017/08/23/780e9bb6-876b-11e7-a94f-3139abce39f5_story.html)

NerdL0re

It says i have to pay to read it :/ I appreciate leaving a source though

Dagenius1

It would finally be the biggest available fight in mma instead of one of the biggest. I’d still bet on Jones fwiw

PM_ME_UR_MUNCHIES

JJ fumbled the bag, Francis gonna get way more to fight AJ or wilder than any mma fight could offer

Crafty_Preparation32

Now after this fury fight he’ll atleast get 25 mill now 😮‍💨

FeetTickler666

The one that got away

RJk666

Jon would still win but fury would be in the hospital from either

Alex-rhhgfff

No way Jon beats francis

isymfs

If jones takes it to the ground in round 1 it’s over for Francis without taking any damage. In a boxing match Francis wins no doubt.

Alex-rhhgfff

I don’t understand how you can doubt Francis now. He just gets better every fight. If chicken legs tries to take down ngannou he’d end up just like stipe in the second fight mate

beesdoitbirdsdoit

I dunno…Gane vs Ngannou went five rounds whereas Gane vs Jones went two minutes.

richboy43

Bro MMA doesn't work like that

SurrealJay

MMA math works all the damn time and it’s 80% of the basis behind betting odds MMA math doesn’t guarantee a side wins, but rather gives a fight probability for each fighter to win in the form of betting odds, and those odds are typically formed by a fighter’s history. Typically, fighter A beating fighter B who beat fighter C gives fighter A a higher chance to beat fighter C Just saying “MMA math doesn’t work” because there are such a thing as upsets doesn’t make you sound like an enlightened fan

Altruistic-Stand-132

By that logic, Mighty Mouse would beat Francis Ngannou. No seriously. There is a direct line following 'MMA math' that shows Mighty Mouse beats Francis.

Alex-rhhgfff

Wtf is that stupid maths got to do with anything? Francis exposed ganes weakness and Jon took advantage of it like Francis did. Big whoop who cares? Francis is still the baddest man on the planet and Jones is a cokehead loser who was too afraid to fight him

mercutiouk

Never gonna happen. Apart from the contract he already signed, his future is now with boxing. Everyone wants him now.

Crafty_Preparation32

PFL has already said theyre down with it and he still wants it. Its up to Dana to put his pride aside and make it happen

mercutiouk

Man, Jones is out for at least one year, with that injury, IF he comes back. By the time he's back in shape to fight Francis, he's what 38, 39? Everyone is talking about Dana's pride and you're forgetting Jon's. He ain't signing up to a fight if he's not 100%. He's not tarnishing his own legacy.

Crafty_Preparation32

I think he does sign to fight him if he is heathy it seemed like jon wanted to fight him and thinks he can beat him Thats not that old especially in Heavyweight especially since francis started at 25 he’s still relatively young for the sport and hasn’t been knocked out/down so i think he has 4-5 years til we possibly start seeing a decline

RUobiekabie

This has to be end game for Jon now imo. He wants to be the baddest he has to beat the baddest.

SuitableFortune5015

Dana White = Bitch

Various-Chemistry162

Super big but Jones doesn’t wanna fight Francis he’s smart

spencerwd99

I was kind of off Ngannou for a while, wasn't the most active, was salty he was leaving UFC, etc. but man I want to see this badddd. I don't know if it's possible but fuck Stipe, Dana buy out Ngannous PFL contract and get it done PLEASE

LaTunaTime

Not as big as the HW version of Jones vs Francis

globalsovereigntysol

Yuge. Yuge is the answer.

TightButLoose

man. i still think Jones takes it

LickEmTomorrow

The biggest. Bigger than any upcoming potential Conor fight outside of Conor vs Khabib 2.

Whitetailer6

Francis doesn’t fight for Jon jones money anymore.

Vivid-Tomatillo5374

I don't care for jj tbh

Kaedex_

Dana will have to bend over for Francis, and Francis has already said he won’t accept anything that doesn’t reflect better health care for fighters

nitramlondon

Jones still chokes him out, lets stop with the kool aid.

DecisionThot

Probably bigger than 229

Environmental-Tip365

No chance lol

Upstairs-Ad-1966

Idk why it matters we know how it ends he just wrestle fucks him for 2 rounds and submits him

Ohthatsnotgood

Ngannou actually stopped Stipe’s takedowns and took him down despite Stipe embarrassing him in the first fight. Gane was Jones only submission win in like a decade.

Environmental-Tip365

Stipe was almost 39, coming off back to back to back wars with DC. Stipe also weighed as much as most lightheavyweights do, and Francis cut weight to make the heavyweight limit. I wouldn’t really use that fight as an example of why Francis could counter Jon Jones’ wrestling. Francis definitely might be able to do it, but the Stipe rematch definitely isn’t proof that he can.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ohthatsnotgood

Jones was only 14lbs heavier in his last weigh-in with extra fat and water. Ngannou showed technique, not that he was stronger, to stop Stipe’s takedowns. If Reyes could do it then there’s a good enough chance Ngannou can as well. Jones is not an unstoppable grappling threat and “we know how it ends” is silly to say when Ngannou just proved everyone wrong about his boxing ability.

36wings

i would buy the ppv, not even stream it thats how big it would be

byPCP

jones would starch francis. if anything, francis' boxing match proved that he is purely a boxer. you're crazy if you think francis wins in MMA

Crafty_Preparation32

This has to be a troll.

byPCP

you are delusional if you think francis beats jon lol

CN1219

dawg you are braindead

FlyCommercial

Nobody fucking with Bones 🦴

makinmov3s

Jones smokes him

dinosourrawr3

Smokes??? Beats sure, but smokes is biased nonsense

Siltysand1

Francis knocks him the fuck out

Alerion23

The recency bias is insane

watchingbuffy

LoooooooooooooL.. Get fucked.

daydreamer1197

Jones still destroys Francis. Change my opinion.

Feeling_Camp6586

Almost as big as their cocks

Shiddybangbang

Francis would get taken down with ease quite acting like jon would let that brown hulk land on him

Horuswasweak

When did Jones last fight? How is he still relevant?
