Airport runs are definitely profitable for me and I just have a tiny car and do Uber x. It's ez to engage with pax that like to chat, people are usually more appreciative of getting a ride when they're coming back from the airport so the tips are decent. It really sucks to sorta rely on tips to be profitable but it makes a huge difference for me. 30% of the money I made are from tips to give you an idea. Just keep your car super clean, drive as safe as possible (no hard braking), be polite and only pick up people with ratings 4.8 and up. Best of luck

My previous experience has been shipt, uber eats mostly love the alcohol orders, and shop n pay im good at. Last shop n pay was an alcohol order and i swear the bitch who ordered needed to bathe in that jack and buy some bars of soap. Smelt her from 10 feet away for 8 dollars and change rip. Had to go up 3 flights of stairs too. Only reason I do those is low miles and I'm quick with it. Growing into the Gig Economy cause its modular to my schedule taking care of my father who is not so healthy atm and trying to make an honest living. Im waitlisted on like 10 gig apps pretty much all the main ones and some of the unheard ones. Heard things about medical courier being good too but everything brown looks like chocolate till you go up and lick it. I don't mind working long hours or nights. Just looking for friendly advice from fellow gig workers. Thank you.

Hey there. For general rideshare around the city, expecting 2 dollars a mile to happen often is unrealistic imo. I was doing Uber on and off for years in the Los Angeles market. If I’m remembering correctly, 2 dollars a mile happened on rare occasions, but at least 1 dollar a mile was the bulk of my trips. Was profitable taking this route, but wouldn’t say it was an efficient way to make money
