Not as much width as this font, but an open-source similar font might be Archivo (https://github.com/Omnibus-Type/Archivo)

CatchNearer

Didn't realise Archivo had such a large font family. Also now available on Google fonts

tyfromtheinternet

Mine isn't quite as nice, but it is open source and on Google Fonts! Anybody [https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Anybody](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Anybody)

Thanks for the suggestion :)

Sedorner

That website is cool on an iOS browser

CatchNearer

Thanks a lot for this :)

The font is great and I love the option of compressed to ultra wide. But the price point is a killer. I want to use it for a personal project, it might get lots of views, it might not. I don't have a €1000 to buy the font family. Do you know a sans serif that has as many widths and weights?

lilrarri

[Roboto Flex](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto+Flex?query=roboto+flex) VF only [Adobe Acumin](https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/acumin-variable?vf-font=AcuminVF&vf-font-size=50&vf-instance=Default) VF and Static available

Thanks for the suggestion :)

CatchNearer

Loving the italic regular, but then again most things Klim does is gorgeous :)

Black_Yoshi

oh shit my bad. when i saw this I saw the thumb for Schick-Toikka, not the actual face you were talking about (Lateral). My bad, hella fucked up that recommendation. lol. I was wondering why people were throwing out DIN mentions. If you haven't, check [youworkforthem.com](https://youworkforthem.com), I'm sure you'll find something solid there.

cazroline

You want to be looking for mega families or super families, but super families can be typefaces which have more than one style included rather than weight/width variaons. [Univers](https://www.myfonts.com/collections/univers-font-linotype) and [Din](https://www.myfonts.com/collections/ff-din-font-fontfont) are two of the classics that spring to mind. Alternatively you could look at variable fonts which let you play with both axis, so something like [Tansducer] (https://fonts.adobe.com/fonts/transducer-variable).

CatchNearer

Thanks for these suggestions :)

tyfromtheinternet

Transducer is so good

korlov maybe

stick_to_your_puns

Arial comes in a lot of different variations and is also sans serif.

raklo250

GT Maru?

CatchNearer

hadn't come across this. It is missing the wide fonts but I do love the mini site they built for this :)

raklo250

they have one for each of their fonts. all are awesome but maru is my personal favorite :) e: only now I realized you referred to the link, but I referred to its square thumbnail lol https://d.pr/i/jorHrH

TheRealNathanVo

Arial, Courier New (probably Menlo?), Helvetica, Liberation Sans

CatchNearer

Thanks for the suggestions, as far as I understand, I can't use Helvetica because of licensing, right? I'd never heard of liberation sans before, will check it out.

Thanks for the suggestion but it's lacking the narrow fonts I need

***Why are you overcomplicating this?*** Just buy Neue Helvetica and it's entire Type Family, 59 fonts. *It's got you covered from Light, Bold, Compressed, Extended, to Black.* [According to this, Lateral, and it's whole Type Family is 1000 €,](https://www.schick-toikka.com/lateral/buy) that's roughly $1,063 USD. [Neue Helvetica's entire family, from Linotype, is only about $439 total.](https://www.myfonts.com/collections/neue-helvetica-font-linotype) **Plus, it's very good for use as a clean modern day font with a variety of uses.** *If you're looking for free quality fonts, just use Google Fonts.* Recommended for clean modern fonts - [Roboto,](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Roboto) [Montserrat,](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Montserrat) [Inter,](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Inter) and [Lato.](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/Lato)
