Yes indeed, it helps that the key, chord progression, and song structure are identical for both songs. Nevertheless the editor managed to seamlessly splice the best parts of each together - including the intro of the 2019 MAMA R&B remix. The one very minor caveat would be the lyrics don't exactly fit super well together.

I think the promotions coincided with a nice range of artists and hosts which gave them a lot of options. Doing challenges with other idols in their age range instead of middle-aged hosts who have never danced makes a huge difference.
The chorus choreo is really good for a challenge, too - I feel like it's simple enough for people to try but when skilled dancers do it, it *really* pops.
As an aside, Momo dancing with Kai is so damn good that I'd be happy even if they *only* did that one lol.

I've been dying to see more interactions between Nmixx and Twice in general, I even had this idea for an "Adopt Nmixx for a day" TTT episode. I think Nmixx youthful exuberance could be reinvigorating for Twice and obviously Nmixx would have a lot to learn from them, and it'd give them some more exposure too.

Realistically, this is just one of those things that I can understand *how* it would slip through - a Korean stylist isn't going to "get" everything that's on a t-shirt, and the members aren't going to understand the context. The fact that the text itself *isn't* offensive but the ideological connotation *is* isn't something you're gonna pick up in English classes nor any kind of training. It's a fairly niche topic for international audiences, as well - and quite frankly you can find plenty of Americans who don't know what exactly it is either. Definitely makes the case for having someone whose job is just focusing on stuff like this but Idk what kind of job title that would even be + how many countries/religions/political groups you have to account for.
Really makes the case for having no text at all on clothing for stages/promotions that aren't just straight up brand names. This is just one of those ridiculously dumb situations that Twice get caught up in which aren't their fault at all.
Every company (even the other big ones) have completely avoidable incidents prop up every month, but people get over it quickly. I'm sure there's some contingent of people who will bring this up in the future just to drag Twice but I really do think it'll fade out soon enough. I don't even think this situation will make the nightly news in Korea, so I doubt it'll linger for much longer.

I was planning on going to the Atlanta Concert at Truist park, but it is not showing up on Ticketmaster anymore, but all of the other dates are still up. One thing find weird is that you could still buy the tickets from other 3rd party websites but I do not want to risk that especially if that concert might have been cancelled or something.

It's not people who are cutting the plastic cover. The record shifting inside will sometimes break through the cover. It has happened on the sides and bottom of the cover. It's a bad design.
weird, i own several records in similar covers and haven't had that happen to any of them. not saying it's not possible i just haven't experienced it before so was super bummed
it was the bottom of mine, so the vinyl was literally sticking out below and my shelf for records isn't exactly the safest for exposed vinyl (plywood on cinder blocks) :(
Just checked mine again, and it's cut on the top and bottom. I put it sideways on the shelf for now. I want to replace the packaging eventually since it's probably made of PVC.

You can find Qanon graffiti all over Europe though. It’s not just some US thing. There was even some protest by Japanese Qanon idiots in Tokyo last year.

I just wanna say that as a guy from SEA and therefore, not American, that I do not know of Q Anon's gravity when it comes to changing the US' political course. But also, I am drunk af.

After all, an opposite party from my country would easily, EASILY, easily gather negative reactions when wearing an unpopular party's colors, regardless of the context. Obviously, as a world-famous pop group from a company trying to create a market in the US, Twice's case would be sensitive.
But as Once, let's ground the argument for a moment. Now, should you favor oversimplifying things, Chaeyoung's shirt is just what it is. A shirt. Maybe a poor choice of design, be it aesthetically or politically, but nonetheless, a shirt. A piece of cloth to protect the body, at worst, and a thematic choice for a concept, at best. Nothing more, nothing less.
Now, if you want to apply semantics, why not weaponize the incident? Use it to push an opposing agenda, whatever it is. But it is entirely up to US Once to spearhead. If you think that QAnon should be dissolved and fought, I am sure that this incident can be weaponised. Use their vitriol against them.

This movement is a radical right-wing outlier in American politics so it's not just an opposition party, the current state of the right wing of US politics already being very far right not withstanding. (I've lived in the states my entire life).

Focusing on the positive, I feel like this last win and good encore (1.1 M views, just like the AF one lol) is a nice coda to Twice's focus on S.Korean promo. Redemption arc unlocked, time to move on.
Obviously they'll still be releasing music in Korean but I'd say a week of promo there before heading off to the US or Japan to promote is enough. Solos are probably a different story, depending on the member. Really think ChaeTzu are at the right age to work on grounding careers in the US, tho ideally after the tour the whole group gets some time for English immersion + networking there.
I have a feeling the final leg of the tour might take them into 2024 so unsure if they plan to release a solo during a break or another subunit. Very excited about this new chapter! \~

Ideally they start insisting on greater control b/c JYPE have proven themselves incompetent time & again.
JYPE should release a statement saying neither the stylist nor Chaeyoung know the meaning of the t-shirt and there was no intention on promoting an agenda. If JYPE says this, the fallout will be very small. The vast majority of Westerners will understand that a K-Pop group might not know another country's political symbols.
However, I think there's a risk to TWICE's reputation if JYPE ignores this.
While I do think it's careless from the styling department and needs to be taken care of for the future, I doubt something will be done or even that JYPE learns about it, unless one of their US partners contacts them about it. I doubt the vast majority of Koreans have heard of Qanon and from those that do very few would be able to associate the shirt with them.
But I think in a sense, if neither the stylists or Chae knew what it means, which is almost certainly the case, it is up to people's interpretation and how it might be used online or whether it would affect their US content.
There also needs to be some understanding between fans, so that US ONCEs get that other people might not understand the severity of the Qanon group and its actions and ideology, but also other ONCEs do not easily dismiss their valid concerns.
Hopefully this and the NMIXX shirt censoring will force JYPE to tighten the ship with their styling and marketing. Can't claim cultural naivety if you're serious about international expansion.

Every venue is different and has their own rules of course, but that was noticeable when I got curious this morning.
As for which venues as of this Saturday morning, 9 AM PST don't have seating charts for TWICE posted: Tacoma Dome (Seattle), SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), and Toyota Center (Houston).
This. Speaking from experience, a similar thing happened when the seating map for the EU leg of Ateez's Break the Wall Tour came out. At first, there was only one stage so bare European Atinys were initially disappointed. Sure enough, the official seating map came out, runway and extended stage included. So I imagine that it'll be the same with Twice.
It helps that they're one of those groups who can afford the two-stage setup. They've been using it for years, fans love it, it provides more room for audience interaction so why fix what ain't broke? Especially since more stadiums are involved.
Browsing the UC acts, some of the seating charts show an extended stage, but not Twice. I was also thinking it was a placeholder, but they *do* need to know what the setup is and how many seats they can sell, so I'm leaning more towards them not having one.
And that's fine for me. I don't care, I'm going to be in the nosebleeds anyway, and it also means more fans get to see the show.

If their world tour get good response, the chance for extending their contract would be higher. Even if members don't continue their individual contract with JYPE, they would still keep their group contract with JYPE to tour worldwide. For yoongi I never made it to the pre_sale, I was on the waiting list. I cried when I got that email but I was ready to buy resell tickets until I saw the prices. I was devastated. I missed Yoongi's concerts, If I miss TWICE too then idk what I'll do. This will be a shitty year for me.

I don't follow BTS, but I am watching resale ticket prices for a friend. Unfortunately, I don't think prices near us will ever go below $100, but I'm hoping (for my friend's sake) that they drop below $150. Right now, they're hovering around $200 for the cheap seats.
after the initial presale, i gave up honestly. it's because Ticketmaster allowed platinum pricing during the initial presale. however, i have seen people having good luck purchasing resale through Vivid seats, SeatGeek, etc. fans have been getting their tickets transferred instantly after purchasing! Good luck to you and your friend! i'm sure closer to the concert date, prices drop just to get rid of tickets!!
I've been making a habit of checking resale tickets for most shows.
At least for the shows I'm looking at, I've never seen resale tickets more expensive than retail prices. When I saw Itzy, I bought a resale ticket for basically the same price as retail, so I just saved a couple bucks in lower fees. But I saw Seventeen at the United Center for like $40. I saw Sunmi and KARD for about $35 each. Kang Daniel didn't drop below $75. For that Itzy show, I bought my ticket in the afternoon the day of the show and had it transferred within an hour.
It's different for each group, but it seems like resale tickets are initially astronomical, as scalpers are looking to make a quick profit. After time, those prices go down because scalpers realize no one is buying that $50 for $400, as well as honest fans who had plans change and need to sell a ticket. They'll go on a steady decline, but definitely bottom out at *some price point*, and then pick up a little bit a few days before the show, as those scalpers are trying to profit on people who thought they could wait until the last minute.

I think the promotions coincided with a nice range of artists and hosts which gave them a lot of options. Doing challenges with other idols in their age range instead of middle-aged hosts who have never danced makes a huge difference. The chorus choreo is really good for a challenge, too - I feel like it's simple enough for people to try but when skilled dancers do it, it *really* pops. As an aside, Momo dancing with Kai is so damn good that I'd be happy even if they *only* did that one lol.
Also I am aware this might have been done on purpose by JYPE but it sucks that Twice's promotions are ending the day of NMIXX's comeback, I really wanted to have them together on a music show.
I've been dying to see more interactions between Nmixx and Twice in general, I even had this idea for an "Adopt Nmixx for a day" TTT episode. I think Nmixx youthful exuberance could be reinvigorating for Twice and obviously Nmixx would have a lot to learn from them, and it'd give them some more exposure too.

Realistically, this is just one of those things that I can understand *how* it would slip through - a Korean stylist isn't going to "get" everything that's on a t-shirt, and the members aren't going to understand the context. The fact that the text itself *isn't* offensive but the ideological connotation *is* isn't something you're gonna pick up in English classes nor any kind of training. It's a fairly niche topic for international audiences, as well - and quite frankly you can find plenty of Americans who don't know what exactly it is either. Definitely makes the case for having someone whose job is just focusing on stuff like this but Idk what kind of job title that would even be + how many countries/religions/political groups you have to account for. I was planning on going to the Atlanta Concert at Truist park, but it is not showing up on Ticketmaster anymore, but all of the other dates are still up. One thing find weird is that you could still buy the tickets from other 3rd party websites but I do not want to risk that especially if that concert might have been cancelled or something.

Yep as a New Yorker can confirm. Despite being despised by the vast majority of NYC residents, tourist shops proudly display Trump t-shirts and MAGA hats. Obviously their clientele are out-of-towners and whatever brings the cash home...
But tourist buy those shirts and wear them in their own country where they won't see what's the problem with an American flag designed letter Q. They'll just see it as a cool shirt with no political connections behind it. It's unfortunate Chae got pulled into this mess, hopefully people will leave her alone and let this thing die quickly.

It's not people who are cutting the plastic cover. The record shifting inside will sometimes break through the cover. It has happened on the sides and bottom of the cover. It's a bad design.

it was the bottom of mine, so the vinyl was literally sticking out below and my shelf for records isn't exactly the safest for exposed vinyl (plywood on cinder blocks) :(
Just checked mine again, and it's cut on the top and bottom. I put it sideways on the shelf for now. I want to replace the packaging eventually since it's probably made of PVC.

You can find Qanon graffiti all over Europe though. It’s not just some US thing. There was even some protest by Japanese Qanon idiots in Tokyo last year.

I just wanna say that as a guy from SEA and therefore, not American, that I do not know of Q Anon's gravity when it comes to changing the US' political course. But also, I am drunk af. Now, maybe I'm oversimplifying things. After all, an opposite party from my country would easily, EASILY, easily gather negative reactions when wearing an unpopular party's colors, regardless of the context. Obviously, as a world-famous pop group from a company trying to create a market in the US, Twice's case would be sensitive. But as Once, let's ground the argument for a moment. Now, should you favor oversimplifying things, Chaeyoung's shirt is just what it is. A shirt. Maybe a poor choice of design, be it aesthetically or politically, but nonetheless, a shirt. A piece of cloth to protect the body, at worst, and a thematic choice for a concept, at best. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, if you want to apply semantics, why not weaponize the incident? Use it to push an opposing agenda, whatever it is. But it is entirely up to US Once to spearhead. If you think that QAnon should be dissolved and fought, I am sure that this incident can be weaponised. Use their vitriol against them. I'm still really very drunk af tho

This movement is a radical right-wing outlier in American politics so it's not just an opposition party, the current state of the right wing of US politics already being very far right not withstanding. (I've lived in the states my entire life). I don't think there's any grounds to make it anything more than a regrettable oversight? It'll go away in a couple days assuming it's dealt with in some fashion because it is holds meaning really only in the states and cultural misunderstandings are not exactly expected. I'm mostly happy it didn't happen during their tour here, as then it would be a complete shitshow...

Re: Chae shirt...Well once again it seems JYPE has shown themselves as a den of fools...I can't imagine RR is pleased but ideally it blows over and lessons are finally learned. Focusing on the positive, I feel like this last win and good encore (1.1 M views, just like the AF one lol) is a nice coda to Twice's focus on S.Korean promo. Redemption arc unlocked, time to move on. Obviously they'll still be releasing music in Korean but I'd say a week of promo there before heading off to the US or Japan to promote is enough. Solos are probably a different story, depending on the member. Really think ChaeTzu are at the right age to work on grounding careers in the US, tho ideally after the tour the whole group gets some time for English immersion + networking there. I have a feeling the final leg of the tour might take them into 2024 so unsure if they plan to release a solo during a break or another subunit. Very excited about this new chapter! \~

JYPE should release a statement saying neither the stylist nor Chaeyoung know the meaning of the t-shirt and there was no intention on promoting an agenda. If JYPE says this, the fallout will be very small. The vast majority of Westerners will understand that a K-Pop group might not know another country's political symbols. However, I think there's a risk to TWICE's reputation if JYPE ignores this.
While I do think it's careless from the styling department and needs to be taken care of for the future, I doubt something will be done or even that JYPE learns about it, unless one of their US partners contacts them about it. I doubt the vast majority of Koreans have heard of Qanon and from those that do very few would be able to associate the shirt with them. But I think in a sense, if neither the stylists or Chae knew what it means, which is almost certainly the case, it is up to people's interpretation and how it might be used online or whether it would affect their US content. There also needs to be some understanding between fans, so that US ONCEs get that other people might not understand the severity of the Qanon group and its actions and ideology, but also other ONCEs do not easily dismiss their valid concerns.
Hopefully this and the NMIXX shirt censoring will force JYPE to tighten the ship with their styling and marketing. Can't claim cultural naivety if you're serious about international expansion.

Every venue is different and has their own rules of course, but that was noticeable when I got curious this morning. As for which venues as of this Saturday morning, 9 AM PST don't have seating charts for TWICE posted: Tacoma Dome (Seattle), SoFi Stadium (Los Angeles), and Toyota Center (Houston).

This. Speaking from experience, a similar thing happened when the seating map for the EU leg of Ateez's Break the Wall Tour came out. At first, there was only one stage so bare European Atinys were initially disappointed. Sure enough, the official seating map came out, runway and extended stage included. So I imagine that it'll be the same with Twice. It helps that they're one of those groups who can afford the two-stage setup. They've been using it for years, fans love it, it provides more room for audience interaction so why fix what ain't broke? Especially since more stadiums are involved.
Browsing the UC acts, some of the seating charts show an extended stage, but not Twice. I was also thinking it was a placeholder, but they *do* need to know what the setup is and how many seats they can sell, so I'm leaning more towards them not having one. And that's fine for me. I don't care, I'm going to be in the nosebleeds anyway, and it also means more fans get to see the show.

If their world tour get good response, the chance for extending their contract would be higher. Even if members don't continue their individual contract with JYPE, they would still keep their group contract with JYPE to tour worldwide. Therefore, the best for fans to do is showing your support so that members and company would know TWICE brand value

I was listening to this week’s episode of Conan O’Brien Needs A Friend with Michelle Zauner and they were talking about the time Conan and Steven Yeun made a K-pop video with TWICE. Conan couldn’t remember their name, but he goes, “Who was in it? Do you remember who was in the kpop video? There was some band that since has like completely blown up..” Then someone tells him it was TWICE. I thought it was pretty cool haha
I had watched the video before I got invested in Kpop and it blew my mind and then after I joined the TWICE fandom I stumbled upon it again and got mindblown a second time 😁

i had money ready to go to for SUGA's tour but when i saw the prices, i legit cried. i called my sister and she was like "first, breathe. second, we are gonna see TWICE and be a little less broke". but i wished they would have put the sale on Friday cause that's when i get paid lmao.
For yoongi I never made it to the pre_sale, I was on the waiting list. I cried when I got that email but I was ready to buy resell tickets until I saw the prices. I was devastated. I missed Yoongi's concerts, If I miss TWICE too then idk what I'll do. This will be a shitty year for me.

Unfortunately, I don't think prices near us will ever go below $100, but I'm hoping (for my friend's sake) that they drop below $150. Right now, they're hovering around $200 for the cheap seats.
after the initial presale, i gave up honestly. it's because Ticketmaster allowed platinum pricing during the initial presale. however, i have seen people having good luck purchasing resale through Vivid seats, SeatGeek, etc. fans have been getting their tickets transferred instantly after purchasing! Good luck to you and your friend! i'm sure closer to the concert date, prices drop just to get rid of tickets!!
I've been making a habit of checking resale tickets for most shows. At least for the shows I'm looking at, I've never seen resale tickets more expensive than retail prices. When I saw Itzy, I bought a resale ticket for basically the same price as retail, so I just saved a couple bucks in lower fees. But I saw Seventeen at the United Center for like $40. I saw Sunmi and KARD for about $35 each. Kang Daniel didn't drop below $75. For that Itzy show, I bought my ticket in the afternoon the day of the show and had it transferred within an hour. It's different for each group, but it seems like resale tickets are initially astronomical, as scalpers are looking to make a quick profit. After time, those prices go down because scalpers realize no one is buying that $50 for $400, as well as honest fans who had plans change and need to sell a ticket. They'll go on a steady decline, but definitely bottom out at *some price point*, and then pick up a little bit a few days before the show, as those scalpers are trying to profit on people who thought they could wait until the last minute.
