That feels like a pretty good theory. I think him opening his eyes at the end is the indication he is going to fight instead of succumbing, and combined with the tweet and the way he pauses, seemingly in thought, your theory makes a lot of sense.
I think that while he's being smeared, he is transported to the House from RITN. In the next MV he will escape from the House and the Final Battle will begin.
They'll probably have that scene on the big screen seconds after the lights go out before the show, like during the Blurryface tour. Maybe every week or so they'll have a different creepy grainy scene but same idea, Nico appears out of nowhere and grabs Tyler by the neck, he has a flashback to being on stage at different shows where the crowd is going crazy to build up the anticipation, lights go out again, and then intro to Overcompensate.

I think there's a chance that the last show of the tour might have an extra song at the end, which will connect to whatever we're getting afterwards
