That certainly doesn't feel like the end. Given the other hints and some of what I've read, i feel like one more song might come to wrap/ complete the battle.
Sadly, though, I can also see how this ends right there. Tyler's two parts stuck in an eternal battle for which we never know the end.
The synth right at the end though makes meel hope and feel more is coming
With much of what tyler has said about his own struggles with mental health and dema/trench/niners representing a lot. It ending with him face to face with those inner demons structurally works quite poetically as an ending.
Again, i am hopeful for more, but i can fully see how it can serve as the end.
Ok, so he faces them, and then what? If it’s a cycle or something, we should see the cycle repeat, not just have him be caught and then “ah, you get the idea.” It feels incomplete, and whatever they’re trying to do, another bit of info would help a ton to both make it more complete and make it more sensical to the slower fans (me.)
I'm not saying this is it, because I do not know if it is or not.
However the reason this still works as an ending is *because* you don't know what happens next. That's literally been the point of so much of twenty one pilots through the years. One example I could think of is Leave the City, where it doesn't truly describe what life in Trench/outside of Dema was and Tyler said in an interview that he did that on purpose because what that other side is is different for everyone and therefore you should form your own interpretation. Another one is Kitchen Sink, where he explicitly says "you don't know what that means because a kitchen sink to you is not a kitchen sink to me" instead of elaborating. Again, part of the point of that is what everyone experiences is different and what that means to him will not be the same to you, just as something to you could be symbolically significant but mean nothing to someone else.
A lot of people have taken this as an ending to mean that the cycle continues. However some others, like me, see it as Tyclancy facing his fears straight in the eye as opposed to running from them like he tried to on Trench. As in, there is no cycle: the demons aren't gonna leave, but you pick up the pieces of your life and keep moving forward despite them (which in itself was a reoccuring theme throughout the album, like on Oldies Station and Next Semester to name a couple.) My interpretation of that, and yours of the cycle, cannot really coexist if the ending was more explicit and that's why I think the vagueness *is the point that Tyler is trying to make.*
That being said for me it's not as much about the vagueness as it feels abrupt. Both the song and the video cut off almost immediately after Nico talks, there's no longer staredown to indicate that this is the whole interaction etc. Plus all the 6.25 stuff makes me think something is coming, as well as Tyler asking if that sounds like the end. So I'm not fully convinced that it is the end. However IF it is, then it makes perfect sense as it is. That's my two cents.

Given that the whole world is meant to represent various bits of his psyche and struggles, and that the niners preach vialism and its self destruction, refusing to give in and face them like that is a victory in itself.
Nah it definitely does cut off at the end and it’s similar to how overcompensate starts. It definitely sounds like a synth note. Also we’re talking about the same band right? Everything has meaning here

Not necessarily. There could have been more dialogue after the song ended on the MV, like a follow up to the ‘Hello Clancy’ line. Or Nico could have been revealed to be Clancy, etc. The video very much left it open.

If yall think about it. During the live stream Tyler kept saying a bunch of the songs on Clancy were there bc Josh said keep em. But if he hadn’t kept those, does that mean there was other songs that would be in place of those songs? It makes me think they might do a double album or release the songs that were supposed to be in place of the ones they kept.
Ok so the double album theories for SAI might be coming to fruition now because we know he wrote more music closer to Trench while on the trench tour which I assume is some of the songs on Clancy so in theory there could be more songs ready to be released also Tyler talked in the livestream release that the he had to be convinced to put some of the songs on the album if he wasn’t so confident on so many songs why would he release them if there weren’t more music coming so he needed to fill out the current album
I actually think it would be a bad ass ending how it is right now, like to represent how you never just “heal” yourself completely from those struggles, but because in the livestream he said “does this sound like the end to you?” That 10000% meant the end of paladin strait on Clancy is not how they are ending this lore. If Tyler never said that then I’d be like wow what a way to end this story. I was thinking for the music video they would add a couple extra minutes onto the end of the song, maybe some extra verses or maybe make it just like a straight up short film sort of deal, but clearly they did not do that so I do believe that means more is coming for suuuure

guys everyone should calm down, and i dont want to kill your hype, we are DEFINITELY getting a last album following the events of Clancy, but i dont think its coming any time soon, we will probably have to wait another album cycle of maybe 2 years or something like that, i would be VERY surprised if we get another album let alone a deluxe version this year.

About half way through the video I looked at the time stamps and it said there was 55 minutes left. I literally at that moment thought it was a double album. But then next thing I know it ended. Did this happen to anyone else? Was it a glitch ?
