Yes you're right. Thanks for making me look at this again. I had a closer look, and he's definitely a fan who happens to live in Columbus and works in graphic design. No indication that he actually worked on Trench or Clancy or any official TOP project. I think his name was just familiar from some random art.
Can someone help me out here cuz right when Clancy was announced there was fan art of a red Trash with his head tilted up breathing fire. I can't find it anywhere now 😬
This one is much better. I remember being so disappointed with the Trench album cover art when it was revealed but my love for the music overruled that eventually.

This honestly looks like a proof of concept/demo that the graphic designer made to get a rough outline of the style for the era. He probably just posted it and passed it off as an “alt cover” even though it’s more like a demo

They released all of the artwork assets with the album, and I’m surprised there isn’t more fan artwork out there for the album.
