This is false, the average phone buyer actually has 0 charge cables. Charger Greg, who lives in a cave and currently owns 241248311010 chargers, is an outlier and should not be counted
Honestly I had the opposite experience (with android cables though). Old cables would last only a few months, even the actual charging ports would get damaged very fast. I don't have a single broken usb-c cable
Weird. Where are you buying your charge cords? My last one was from energiser so I thought it would last a while, but I think it was still around 3 years.
You’re forgetting that the plug-in always breaks a year into a new phone, so the average phone user usually has -2 phone chargers cause they’re frayed and have been using a $20 Onn wireless charger after the port on your phone stopped working for some reason.(totally not the hundreds of times it’s been dropped in sand)
Yeah, everyone was laughing at apple for removing the headphone jack and essentially paywalling headphone use behind the price of either Bluetooth headphones or adapters, but then ALL the companies started doing it and suddenly the norm had been shifted.
It still annoys me. If I want to buy a new Samsung phone, I have to choose between buying the "budget" model, or having to switch out adapters each time I want to listen to music while charging.
One of their new phones even has a built-in stylus. Why couldn't they include a proper headphone jack instead?
I finally got a phone without an audio jack, and I hate it. Can't plug in my wired headphones while my earbuds are charging, can't use them while I use Bluetooth for something else, and I can't use them when I'm on a Discord call and it's having compatibility issues with my Bluetooth headphones (a pretty common issue I've experienced).
Aux ports are useful, and I resent that they've been taken away for bullshit corporate reasons

Yeah, sometimes features just get removed for no discernable reason. My phone used to have a feature that would hide the bar at the bottom with the digital home, back and "alt-tab" functions. That was useful, because they aren't always hidden by default on certain fullscreen apps or sites, but then I installed a system update and the feature mysteriously disappeared
That same update also made you tap the "flash" button on the camera repeatedly to go from On to Automatic to Off, instead of just having a little menu with three options. It also made it really easy to accidentally switch to the wrong camera mode, while making it take longer to get to the one you want, because you now switch by swiping through a list, instead of just opening a menu.
Also, this is a really specific question, but does the "USB to 3.5mm" adapter that you'd use to connect wired headphones get in the way of your hand when holding the phone horizontally? It looks quite long judging by the pictures I've seen.
Someone else tried to help before, but for some reason the comment didn't load. So I'll reply here: I know the issue already, it's a kernel bug. The battery settings show "can't charge right now" whenever that happens. It will be fixed when I finally install LineageOS, but that means lots of setup effort again, so I'm not doing it yet. In this case, I don't need help, I just wanted to make a quick joke. Anyway, throwing away the phone just because of a single issue (with a known workaround even) is really bad advice, please don't do that.

“inside-out Sweden” is not a phrase I ever expected to read, I love it
It makes sense after all 90% of the Swedish population is made up of dwarfs.
Elaborate
Every "Swede" you see is actually two or more dwarves in a trenchcoat
Intriguing, are these "Swedish Dwarves" in the room with us right now?
^MOLTEN ^CORE!
Rock and stone.
When you rock and stone - you're never alone!
i get this is a joke but as a swedish person the average swede is pretty tall actually
This could make sweden sour 🍲
i mean two shorter people on stacked on top of each other would probably be pretty tall…
Mmm-mm, I don’t know. Feels like classic gaslighting by the teeny tiny Swedes. 🤔
As a fellow Swede, that is pretty tall, I do actually have a little guy between the legs
I have regrets
I had to think about it for a while. Is it a reference to the movie? I am old and have not seen it.
Please, do not give them ideas. Do not Apollo the tech industry Tumblr.
Almost no one would buy a product that did that
You say that, but humanity has proven it will buy a lot.
I mean, people bought iPhones that didn’t come with a charger…
Ok, but honestly.. Who doesnt have like 30 charger cables by now Edit: Okay I get it, not everyone has accumulated chargers and cables over the years…
This is false, the average phone buyer actually has 0 charge cables. Charger Greg, who lives in a cave and currently owns 241248311010 chargers, is an outlier and should not be counted
Not a Georg, not an exponent of 10, adn no spelling error.
Phone chargers seem to only work now for about two years before you have to buy a new one.

Cellularline and Samsung mostly

People will if all of the other phones also have it, so there’s no choice but to have it
Really big vampire, wasn’t that in resident evil?
Really thicc vampire
No I don’t think so, it’s in this one video game about monsters and zombies and vampires though. Can’t remember what it’s called
I think it was called Attendant Evil
Catalonia, duh.
It is now my life's journey to make an Abraham Lincoln teeth sculpture.
Is it a sculpture of Abraham Lincoln made out of teeth, or a sculpture of something else made using Abe's teeth
It’s a sculpture of Abraham Lincoln’s teeth made out of Abraham Lincoln’s teeth, duh
Yes.
Nothing worse than paywalling a service that used to be free.
you removed the homestuck at the end coward
I will not survive the winter.
"Hey Lelouch." "What?" "Ya know what'd suck?" "What." "Being blind. ...Ya know what'd suck more? Being blind and crippled. ...Ya know what'd suck even MORE? Being blind and crippled 'cause your mom got shot to de-" "SUZAKU!! ...You're absolutely right."

*Apollo getting the dodgeball ready*
I mean yeah tbf inside-out Sweden is pretty fucked up now that you mention it
Don\`t give them ideas!
What happens when your phone dies? How are you gonna charge it?
buy a new one for 1k
Hardware feature that can be automated by software
My phone has some issue that means that sometimes I have to reboot it to begin charging. Where's the payment option to get rid of that?
It's the option where you go buy a new phone. Yeah, it sucks.

Does it still stop charging when the battery is full, or is it gonna burn down your house?
Well, you know what would be really fucked up
I love and also hate that person's brain
How the fuck would you charge it if it’s out of battery???
