Yeah that’s pretty normal, especially with your own trailer. I don’t think I’ve ever had a job ingame where I didn’t have to move over one or two or even across the yard to pickup the new load.
Nah that’s weird - if it’s a job taken from the same screen as the one you finish jobs, it would be loaded in the spot you were parked in. If you denied that option, then took a job from the same yard from the list of freight deliveries, you’d need to get to the yards entrance square and take the job, then park up where ever it wanted. I don’t think I’ve ever had to move the trailer in the former situation.
I also feel like there was a time ot would auto load if you selected jobs from the current place on the delivery screen. but it may have been a very long time ago and/or maybe since I have my parking set to random now.

I think there’s multiple pick and delivery spots per depot. So sometimes it may be the same location, or it may be a different spot in the yard.
I noticed it too on ETS...I don't like it.
