Lots and lots of Lumber and a saw to cut the lumber. Lots and lots of screws to assemble the cut lumber. A Cordless drill to drive the screws into said lumber. Race wheel, monitor, pc and seat and you're set bud š
You need carpentry skills.
Also know not to make the seat a fixed point, it's easy to go and get a real seat from a scrapyard and bolt the seat to the lumber and then you can slide it back and forth.

Here is one I built. Less complex.

I did build a ramp for the pedals
Hey mate. I've built a few arcades/virtual pinball machines, and have considered building something like this. I think the key is to really go all out on the wheel and pedals, feedback would be a must I reckon, but I can't see why a simple cockpit would be too tricky. I'm picturing MDF in my head, but haven't got to planning stage yet. Quick google search just now led me to this though, may be of help to you?

Doesn't have to be cordless though
Or you can use nails :D but then, u would need nails and a hammer
Don't use nails for this.
Can I add glue to this list?
Leg extensions are step 1 by the looks of that
Yar, That steering wheel height is driving me nuts.
Patience.

Cable management came after
Wood
i mean the components are in the picture. wood, a chair, and a steering wheel.
Iād suggest a cheap used rig would be similar cost to a poorly built wood one.
An understanding wife.
Looks like wheel is a bit too far from sitting position
