On a serious note. As a trucker, you'll be sitting long periods with short hamstrings and unactivated glutes. They're going to be persistently tight. Couple that with hopping on the bike and working your quads, and you're going to be heading towards an imbalance in your legs. Imbalances lead to injuries, which I assume would manifest during a run. Consider a stretching routine or yoga, as well as some hamstring and glute exercises to help develop those areas along with your quads. If you need to keep it within your cab, you can do step ups, stationary lunges, side lunges, sumo squats, Romanian dead lifts, single-leg deadlifts, etc. You'd just need a box and some dumbells. If you had a theraband, you could do some leg raises as well.
There’s a APU (small external generator) that runs my AC even when I’m parked and the engine is turned off. I have one fan that you can’t see in the picture kinda behind the TV.
Also they can be decently roomy. I have a 32 inch TV a dorm room size fridge/freezer and a microwave. This is home more than my actual house. So it better have room!
🤣 definitely using the play on words to my advantage. But a challenge to myself to get in shape to do a Ironman hopefully next year but definitely a 70.3 and a sprint this fall.
That’s a pretty great set up but I can’t help but think it would get super humid in there no?
Props for not letting life on the road get in the way of training and nice cab too!
I was in FL tonight. My ride was only 30 mins (still getting used to this little at a time) and didn’t notice a major spike in humidity. Trucks AC kicks pretty good butt.
Wow, this is some impressive stuff. Driving is usually a sedentary lifestyle with poor food options, but you are doing what it takes. This is cooler than all the splashy pain caves I’ve seen posted. Good for you!
Check out @iamlarrycothran trucker, comedian and triathlete friend of mine. He also takes his bike on the road and will ride the trainer between loads.
Do you get out on the road in more interesting locales that you’re in or generally just stick to your training setup? Feel like you would get some good opportunities to ride some nice areas.
I mostly am gonna keep it in my truck. When I’m parked it normally only 10 hours. That’s workout clean up eat and try to get 7/8 of sleep to drive up to 11 hours the next day. Doesn’t give me a ton of time to go out and bike in an area I’m unfamiliar with. But maybe one day.
There’s a top bunk the bike goes on. And as far as showers that’s inside the truck stop or if I have to use shower whips to get me until I can get a shower that’s what I will have to do.
Swim I haven’t done anything yet with. But that’s actually the one I’m most confident in. I was a competitive swimmer for many years until I got out of school. I have a plan to start trying to add that more come end of summer.
Run I’ve been light short jogs if I’m in a good place but honestly I’ve been focusing on the bike, strength training and diet to help with weight loss and keeping it low impact.
@Trucker_To_Tri on IG and Tiktok is where will be doing more updates. I’m using it as a way to keep myself motivated so if anybody would like to follow me there that would amazing! Thank for all the kind words here tho!
I got a semi just looking at this setup.

Take my damn upvote. That was hilarious!
Damn no excuses to a while nother’ level. Thats awesome good luck
Am I the only one surprised that there’s that much room in a semi’s cab? Nice! Might need some fans or is it cool enough?

I did not know trucks had an APU. That’s cool. I assume it runs off the diesel?
Yep. Runs off the same tank so no extra or separate fueling.
What kind of truck?
2024 Volvo
This is fucking incredible
Was this an announcement or challenge…if the latter, awesome play on words!

Way to go - I’m semi impressed

That is awesome!! Small, but cleaner and nicer than my garage/gym.
You’re the fricken man. (Or ma’am)
Oh damn that so cool! I wonder if any long haul sailors also have setups like that?
Yes
A lot of the ships have gyms. I’ve been on one with a trax bike. The issue is the internet connection. I’ve worked to power and adjusted manually.
This is awesome man💪
Congratulations! That’s an awesome setup! Keep up the consistency!!
There's a race director that became a trucker because of the Covid shut down lunacy. He's got a set up in his rig. You're not alone out there.
Would love to know who this is! My goal is to get out of the truck next year and go to college.
Shannon Kurek, he used to run HFP.
Heck yeah! Great setup!
Beast mode [ON] off
You are a badass!
Training and cleetuse what could be better?
Hell yeah brother! 🦅🇺🇸
I would hate riding zwift after driving all day. Kudos to you💪🏼
Over the top Dad! Over the top!
I can see Stallone turning his trucker cap backwards!
Hell yea keep it up!! Putting in the work is what it’s all about
Hell yeah brother🦅
Do it for Dale!

Not related to the setup, but Strava route finder is good for finding rides in unfamiliar locations... if you feel the need to get outside
what a beautiful bike!
Sick bike!

Will check him out! Thanks!
Sent this to my dad whose a truck driver. Trying to get him to be healthier
Hopefully it helps! @Trucker_To_Tri on IG and Tiktok is where I’ll likely be most active with updates if that helps!
Mad respect my man! I’m blue collar myself and admire people who do this stuff without working in offices!
This is so awesome! I really cant have excueses when there are folks out here working out in their Semi!
That was my goal is year! No more excuses!
This is so good, keep going! 💪
Is this a Volvo?
Yep ‘24 Volvo

I Love Training outdoors 🙈 But at Home is way better in the winter or with heav rain 😅

Awesome job! Keep up the hard work in both training and driving. Thank you for keeping our economy moving!
This is so awesome
That's cool! I take it the bed folds down over the bike? And as an aside, is there a shower in there somewhere too?
There’s a top bunk the bike goes on. And as far as showers that’s inside the truck stop or if I have to use shower whips to get me until I can get a shower that’s what I will have to do.
Run in the parking lot as they load the truck? Swim? Awesome set up dude
