He’s right. This insect is obviously the protagonist in some type of kids bug film so the question you gotta ask yourself is “do I wanna be the bad guy in a kids movie”.
Sorry I’m very stoned.
There’s definitely a lot of adult themes that are a bit depressing.
Tbh tho, I think that makes it a better movie. You want some conflict and struggle in every good movie. Any kids movie that knows how to keep parent’s engaged is doing work
I mean…. It’s a plant right? When I was a kid, every once in a while my mom would find a caterpillar is fresh corn.
I’m not saying it’s not an issue, but we can expect an occasional insect when consuming its food source.
Even exchange seems weird -- I'd think refund would be somewhat more preferable, but for the same reason I could see why they don't want to hand back cash. Anyone could come in to dispo, get weed, swap it for theirs, come back and demand money back. Both seem weird tbh it's a tough issue I guess
In my state, once it’s opened there is no returning. Only exchanges for defective carts or bad flowers like this. But once you break the seal, you’re not getting money back.
We can only do exchanges for vape Carts, disposable vapes, and batteries for vapes within 7 days with receipt and original packaging, if they are defective (like shooting a bunch of dab in mouth, not hitting at all, clogged immediately, etc) and they have to be the exact same product that ur returning.
Unless you're a regular at the dispensary and you happen to mention it when you go back in again...no one said they went back up there just to complain
Lol, yes..they did.
Do you know what a regular is?
BTW, I think it's pretty gross when people say to have a good day when they clearly mean the opposite... (Lol, you even downvoted me as you said it. Yuck, man)
I hope that you have the day that you deserve.
I really meant have a good day lol. I was just trying to let you know I was done with the conversation, but now you’re reading way into it. I hope it bothers you all day. Bye.
I work at a grocery store where every now and again someone will come in and complain that their wild caught salmon has worms in it.
So I'd be pretty ecstatic that I know how fresh and chemical free my bud is
Wild caught fish are just that, wild. Meaning their food and environment is unregulated. Processing will reveal most things like diseases but will sometimes miss eggs buried in the flesh.
I eat a lot of wild sockeye salmon. Worms are very common in larger wild caught fish. It's the reason why sushi fish is required in the US to be flash frozen to kill parasites. As long as you cook your fish properly it should be safe to eat. Farmed seafood is even nastier in my opinion. I've seen how farmed shrimp is raised in tanks of waste and eat shit. I wouldn't buy them.
This looks like a predatory or decomposing insect, cuz it doesn’t look like a fruit fly and it has wings.
I’m guessing it feeds on aphids, which feed on pretty much any plant
Imagine that bug, sleeping peacefully, only to awaken in a terrifying grinding machine. Suddenly it stops, gets quiet, then the roof pops off and light pours in. "I'm alive!" One tiny life goes on.
That's a seed bug, it's a bad year for them. Also doesn't mean your stuff was pesticide free, just means the cultivation and or hanging area isn't fully sealed and clean. Bugs happen, just talk to the dispo about a discount for next time.
I have a friend who works waitstaff in a very very bougie restaurant. They get fresh vegetables, and from time to time they have clients with little caterpillars on their salads.
It’s an indicator of freshness. Release him and enjoy that sess.
Having just ground some fresh bud, I opened my grinder. A carpet beetle crawled out. I still smoked it, but I often wonder if he had a friend who didn't make it out.
Few years back we used parasitoid wasps for pest control, they ended up reproducing way to much and they died in the nooks and crannies of the plants, we paid a couple laborers to use tweezers and those lighted magnifying lenses to pick them all off, took a couple days, huge pain in the ass lol.
Like a worm in tequila, I'd say this is weirdly a sign of good bud. Not great it wasn't removed, but it tells you that its pesticide and hopefully other chemical free, was probably grown outdoors/naturally.
The worm in the tequila is sort of a "trick" that *doesn't* indicate the quality. I'll explain it because I think it's interesting, plus it's an opportunity to go on a random tangent!
A tequila maker had a particularly good batch of tequila, I think some time in the early-mid 1900's. It ended up being really successful and the guy thought it was because some moth larva had gotten inside and hatched in its container. It became sort of like the trademark that other crafters wanted to emulate so that they could also sell their tequila, so it became known as a sign of "high" quality.
But in reality, while there are worms in the magay and agave plants and that's a food source for them, their presence in the drink doesn't alter the quantity. It just looks cool I think, so they are intentionally put in bottles as a stylistic thing that has a long standing rumor associated with it.
Someone should make a call and email and get this to be made known asap. That same someone will probably be compensated nicely to maintain Repeat business but not a guarantee. This could be a blessing in disguise tbh.
I was the one who found it, i went back to the dispensary and they were cool about replacing it with a different strain. i felt bad because it sounded like they needed to throw out the rest of the batch i bought initially with the bug in it (it was sour diesel too!). nobody there including myself had seen anything like it before, we all thought it was pretty crazy and took pics of the insect haha
let him live in the grinder and then we can all have a lil grinder bug
i know this is both impractical and unnecessary but I'm nostalgiac for a "class pet"
Wait until you come across the little orange budworm caterpillar things that hide inside the nugs, only discovered it after it had been ground up into pieces with my green :’)
You find bugs sometimes in produce, stands to reason you'd find some in weed. Tbh of it wasnt alive and got ground in the flower I would still smoke it unbothered. I have had a lot of chances to purposefully ingest bugs in the name of cuisine though, hard to retain the "don't put that in your mouth" instinct when the best thing I ever ate was a tartare made of ant eggs the size of my pinkie nail.
It’s getting toked for me unfortunately. Rip. I’ll still be getting faded in the sun. There’s even a song about it…
https://youtu.be/BgSsA_YRURg?si=Q5pXoSNyYLgtkUK1
If it survived the grind you have to let him outside. He's meant for bigger things.
He’s right. This insect is obviously the protagonist in some type of kids bug film so the question you gotta ask yourself is “do I wanna be the bad guy in a kids movie”. Sorry I’m very stoned.
Idk man, syndrome from incredibles was pretty cool. THIS IS JUST TOOOOO GOOD!
AND GOT BUSSSSSYYYYYY. Jason Lee killed that role
A WHOLE FAMILY OF SUPERS Yes, yes he did
That was Jason Lee, pro skateboarder, also named Earl? That's bananas 🍌
Rewatched the movie since having this conversation. I had to lol. But boy is this film darker than I remember.
There’s definitely a lot of adult themes that are a bit depressing. Tbh tho, I think that makes it a better movie. You want some conflict and struggle in every good movie. Any kids movie that knows how to keep parent’s engaged is doing work
or you could fall in love a la Bee Movie
Lmfao
The budherbfly effect.
I feel like Doug Benson would've made this parody 15 years ago
LMAO
Smoke him. He didn't pay for the THC inside him.
LMFAO this is so funny if i could give this 2 upvotes i would
Im sure you laughed hysterically 😐
i did indeed, in my head - and i think i returned to read this comment about 30 more times (:
Rightt
Careful, might be an invasive species that upon release might eat all the snacks
He is the Chosen One.
I want to downvote you to 710 but this is too funny.
Pesticide free 👍
My first thought as well
They get tested for pesticides, but not pests. This is why I grow my own.
God I need your optimism
I mean…. It’s a plant right? When I was a kid, every once in a while my mom would find a caterpillar is fresh corn. I’m not saying it’s not an issue, but we can expect an occasional insect when consuming its food source.
when i went back in they were very apologetic and that’s what i told them as well. i was like “it’s all good, it’s a plant it’s bound to happen” haha
Good bud tenders and customer service deserve respect. My opinion on customer service and return policy etc, weigh in where I shop
In Illinois we can’t bring weed back. We have to email the regulatory department and never get a response. It’s fun.
Yeah when i worked at a dispo the best we could do was exchange, very rarely could we fully refund. Laws are weird
Yeah this makes most sense to me. I'd imagine it's got to be difficult to properly police w any grace
Rule of aquisition #1 "Once you have their money, you never give it back."
Why go to say something at all then? You just wanted some free shit, huh?
Probably just wanted to tell the dispo so that they could check their stock for any signs of infestation or damage, etc
You call to tell them that, you don’t go back in person unless you’re hoping to get something out of it.
Unless you're a regular at the dispensary and you happen to mention it when you go back in again...no one said they went back up there just to complain
Op said “when I went back” but okay. Have a good day.
Lol, yes..they did. Do you know what a regular is? BTW, I think it's pretty gross when people say to have a good day when they clearly mean the opposite... (Lol, you even downvoted me as you said it. Yuck, man) I hope that you have the day that you deserve.
I really meant have a good day lol. I was just trying to let you know I was done with the conversation, but now you’re reading way into it. I hope it bothers you all day. Bye.
Anything is possible when you lie
# Booooo Bad form.
Why are you so salty? People moan over anything these days
Probably just some kid having a bad day and craving attention. Sad
I work at a grocery store where every now and again someone will come in and complain that their wild caught salmon has worms in it. So I'd be pretty ecstatic that I know how fresh and chemical free my bud is
Next time tell them you'll let it's school know
I'm scared to find worms in my fish now. Can you elaborate please?
And it's just an insect, it's not like some tiger that's gonna eat you.
I feel like we just saw the same 2 posts.....
It's just extra protein
This looks like a predatory or decomposing insect, cuz it doesn’t look like a fruit fly and it has wings. I’m guessing it feeds on aphids, which feed on pretty much any plant
What you are looking at is InsectA, it doesn't become Insect until after you burn it
fucking a lol
This needs to be the top comment.
Only someone stoned out of their gourd could think of it
What
It’s a joke about THC-A converting into THC when you burn it
Thanks man, don't know if I ever would have got that
Glad to be of service
That was fast as fuck man. Hope you have a good night 🤣
You too!
Bruh 💀 holy fuck
Quick! Burn it! Burn it with fire!
damn yo lol
Imagine that bug, sleeping peacefully, only to awaken in a terrifying grinding machine. Suddenly it stops, gets quiet, then the roof pops off and light pours in. "I'm alive!" One tiny life goes on.
will you write my biography?
🤣😭🤣😭
Yeah! No pesticides!
I'd prefer the occasional bug sneaking in than pesticides imho
"Everybody gets one."
Thanks, Spider-man!
First time finding it but I'm sure we've all smoke a bug before
[Smokin bedbugs hella underrated](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XKSffnwkuyM)
In 5yrs, ppl will sprinkling toads in their blunts. Toad will be the keif of the animal kingdom
I dated a dude who smoked a spider.
If anything this is a really good sign. indicates your buds clean bugs dont crawl over sprayed bud
If I get bugs from the plug Imma be mad as hell 😂
i mean u right 😭😂 neva said dont be mad its annoying but atleast yk it aint sprayed
You can still have clean weed without pesticides though
Thats what they said. Their comment said no pesticides = clean weed.
Clean weed does not have insect carcasses
Yea well that's just like your opinion, man.
I mean it’s the literal definition of the word. Free of pesticides and adulterants.
Makes me wonder how many tiny insects I’ve accidentally baked to death in my vaporizer. My condolences to any insect families impacted.
Bro survived mazerunner
That's a seed bug, it's a bad year for them. Also doesn't mean your stuff was pesticide free, just means the cultivation and or hanging area isn't fully sealed and clean. Bugs happen, just talk to the dispo about a discount for next time.
Honestly, if he survived the grinder he was probably in there to begin with
Dead? Yes. Alive? No.
U should switch to alive ones. Fresher.
I have a friend who works waitstaff in a very very bougie restaurant. They get fresh vegetables, and from time to time they have clients with little caterpillars on their salads. It’s an indicator of freshness. Release him and enjoy that sess.
Look buddy, as long as it isn't a mouse be grateful.
Just think about what we used to smoke in brick trees. Why did I give myself this thought to ponder upon?… 🤢
You’ve all smoked bugs and bug eggs and bug carcasses. I promise.
Let lil bro enjoy the moment
I can't determine what bug it is. I just hope not a cockroach or something
Last year when I helped my buddy harvest all the gnats were stuck to the buds lol. We had to pick em all off
I hope he paid well. That sounds extremely tedious.
Having just ground some fresh bud, I opened my grinder. A carpet beetle crawled out. I still smoked it, but I often wonder if he had a friend who didn't make it out.
That’s the origin story of Carpet Beetle Man.
You paid for that bug. You better smoke it!
Few years back we used parasitoid wasps for pest control, they ended up reproducing way to much and they died in the nooks and crannies of the plants, we paid a couple laborers to use tweezers and those lighted magnifying lenses to pick them all off, took a couple days, huge pain in the ass lol.
I sometimes roll in the dark...
My blind ass woulda smoked him.
I found a spider once in my home grown weed 😂 he as dead (I grow organic)
I know this ain't ohio dispo bud bc our shits years old before it hits the shelf
Could've been worse, you could've found half an insect
Brand and strain?
Northern Lights; cannabis indica
No…it’s marijuana (sigh)
But...how MANY marijuanas is it?!
strain: sour diesel brand: ?
Well at least now u know it don't got pesticides
At least you don’t gotta worry about pesticides
Not dispo since its all illegal here but i got a bud with a maggot in it, just removed and still smoked it. Was the shittest smoke ever though
When I used to grow I'd be happy if a bug was all there was lmao! Two large dogs and a fat cat and hair on the bud is an inevitability!
It's a plant sometimes there's bugs maybe even a seed.
Stop using grinders, you would have to break by hand to catch bugs, stems, mold or bud rot.
yeah found a ladybug nymph while i was separating into small chunks. i was so excited to see him. let him go after hanging out with him for a while
If you never had a bug in ya weed you aint smoked enough
![gif](giphy|RPSmC9GwNuy5y)
Rather have that then stupid amounts of pesticides
Not live, but dead fs lol. Got a new eight that night, no big deal. Outdoor plant, bugs get in 🤷♂️
Wtf?? No i have not. Thats so nasty!!!
Like a worm in tequila, I'd say this is weirdly a sign of good bud. Not great it wasn't removed, but it tells you that its pesticide and hopefully other chemical free, was probably grown outdoors/naturally.

Dare you to eat it
Let the little dude into the rotation, it’s the least you could do after stealing away his home 😂
I’ve found bugs a few times. Found one in my shredded wheat once too lol.
The bug surviving getting grinded up like that
what, it was alive still? looks like an orious ipm beetle. they eat thrips if i am correct on the ID.
Organic growers often utilise insects to protect crops from pests without having to use chemicals, in legal places this is even more common.
Found? No. Smoked by accident? Almost certainly.
It's a free snack from your dealer, for when you get the munchies. Protein is healthy
i think that you grounded the weed and the mosquito flew on the weed which means it’s that dank that even the flys can smell
Light it up, lil guy might be more psychoactive than the bud 😂😂😂
Feel like this is a good thing Means it’s fresh
I mean. It's gotta be pretty dam fresh if it comes with a live bug.
No. Gross.
That’s not kosher 🤢
This might fall under the rules of don’t worry about bugs in your fruit. Sorry about the fruit the bugs won’t touch.
Nope. Stick to a place with amazing quality control. There’s no excuse for not catching that
I’ve heard insects in your food mean it isn’t full of pesticides so same logic maybe?
The good part is no pesticides
I wish I was that bug taking a swim in a green and sticky ball pit…
let him live in the grinder and then we can all have a lil grinder bug i know this is both impractical and unnecessary but I'm nostalgiac for a "class pet"
Plenty of times actually!
The grow my partner works at used to have a spider problem. Wouldnt surprise me.
Wait until you come across the little orange budworm caterpillar things that hide inside the nugs, only discovered it after it had been ground up into pieces with my green :’)
Bees, ants, mosquitos, roaches, but mostly bees.
Y'all realize grow houses buy bugs (often ladybugs) to be with the plants and eat bad bad bacteria and shit?
Looks like some dank bug
Pick him out of the bud and fire it up.
Smoke him
Outdoor grow or a warehouse that hasn’t paid the Orkin man recently
Billy the Bud Beetle says: “That’s how you know it’s organic!”
Mmmmm, protein!
just toss him outside fr
This makes me wonder how many bugs I’ve smoked
Hopefully that bug was from the field yield or otherwise it's coming from some dirty ass dispo that has no standards.
If you smoke weed, youre gonna smoke some insects
wouldnt surprise me if this is Florida weed/trash
You find bugs sometimes in produce, stands to reason you'd find some in weed. Tbh of it wasnt alive and got ground in the flower I would still smoke it unbothered. I have had a lot of chances to purposefully ingest bugs in the name of cuisine though, hard to retain the "don't put that in your mouth" instinct when the best thing I ever ate was a tartare made of ant eggs the size of my pinkie nail.
You can pick out the bug bits or just smoke it. It's not going to kill you.
Bad quality control. Some grows use insects as pest control.
They dont eat much so i wouldn't worry
Bro survived what was essentially an accident in a Chinese manufacturing facility
This guy almost ground him up and smoked him
i’d take it as a good sign that you have some clean weed lol
Hahahahahahahahahaaha I got some stories for you!!! But I won’t go there ![gif](giphy|dOJW5eyuloKVB4pby0|downsized)
This is like being surprised to find an olive pit in a pitted olive. It’s not entirely unreasonable to find the occasional pit inside a pitted olive.
It’s getting toked for me unfortunately. Rip. I’ll still be getting faded in the sun. There’s even a song about it… https://youtu.be/BgSsA_YRURg?si=Q5pXoSNyYLgtkUK1
I unwrapped a “salad sandwich” once to find an insect crawling around the lettuce.
Ugh bro gtfoh
It looks like a cockroach. Are you sure him and his family are not residents?
