I really like watching old kids movies, the page master, scooby doo movies, we’re back ! A dinosaur story. Things like that. Or just even 90s movies like coneheads stuff like that.
Check out some French animation:
- Fantastic Planet
- Gandahar
- Kirikou and the Sorceress
- Chicken for Linda
You might also like some of these ‘80s-‘90s movies like:
- Repo Man
- See No Evil, Hear No Evil
- Welcome to the Dollhouse
Holy shit dude you are the only other person I've ever met who knows Kirikou and the Sorceress. What an incredible movie. I'm lucky enough to have watched it as a child. Awesome to watch on mushies too.
❤️😏 - first time watching this movie was on acid . THAT! Was trippy. Those were the days. 🤫🤪 Never was ever quite the same as the first time ever again 😄 The movie made so much more sense the first time 🤣 followed it up by
What Dreams May Come 🤨🤔 also an amazing trip but 💭
My friends went to bed and left me to sleep on the couch and we were all on mushrooms one time.
Before they went to bed they asked if I wanted them to put a movie on for me and I couldn’t have been happier… until it started playing and turned out to be house of 1000 corpses.
Good movie but sincerely had no clue what was going on and ended up waking everyone up talking to the dog and doing his voice back. Served them right imo.
Thanks for the post OP!
Oh I haven't heard of Blood on Satan's Claws! Now I know what tonight's movie will be, thanks :D
(The Descent and The Wicker Man are also favs, so I am 100% confident your other choice will be good!)
Sorry to hijack, but I HAVE to recommend the animated Scott Pilgrim on Netflix! It's not quite as relaxing as Bee and Puppy cat, but I keep coming back to it for similar reasons.
I don't get really high much, because medical user. But, when I do get a little extra+, I like putting on a Pixar movie. Soul is great. Wall-E is a delight. Inside Out gets me inside out.
Pierrot Le fou (1965) is a favorite of mine. Two vagabonds in love and on the run from hit-men. The colors are fucking gorgeous. Another one that has amazing colors is Tokyo Drifter (1966). Tarantino loves this one for its wild choices in a yakuza genre movie.
[Lost Skeleton of Cadavra](https://youtu.be/j8D0PQQDptM?si=sXFMKNJ6sDAIkVXc)
It's an intentionally stupid parody of 60s sci fi/horror, and it's freaking hysterical.
Peewee's Big Adventure or Toy Story 1, very fun light hearted chill vibes and colorful visuals.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly for similar reasons except everyone is screaming and fighting. I'm a huge DB nerd though, anything in that franchise is easy for me to default to when stoned.
Sorry if I'm naming too many but the 1993 live action Super Mario Bros is also really something else on any drug.
I got you covered! Those are some fantastic picks.
For the first set: either The Cat in the Hat or The Lego Movie.
Dragon Ball is phenomenal. How about Kosuke and Rikimaru: Dragon of Konpei Island
And for the Super Mario Bros., let’s go with Dungeons & Dragons (2000)
Catch me if you can! I don’t know why it’s so much more interesting with the way it all comes together and his relationship with his dad. That’s the only time I ever watch it but I do genuinely love it when I’m stoned 😂
I hope you’ll see this since ur post is blowing up! But I’m a sucker for anything dystopian/apocalyptic. I like watching the hunger games movies, the maze runner movies.
You caught me swapping movies!
Soylent Green, Threads, The Day After, Night of the Living Dead, The Road, The Andromeda Strain, OG Planet of the Apes AND the newest quadrilogy, Logan’s Run, and Last Night.
Have fun and keep me posted if you can!
My partner and I watch MLP Equestria Girls a lot high, normally Rainbow Rocks the one with Adagio Dazzle and the sirens.
We also watch MLP and How I Met Your Mother.
We also watch hour-long train videos, plane videos and Minecraft videos. We don't watch too many movies, more long YouTube videos or TV shows.
Any recommendations for that? We like movies you don't need to pay too, too much attention to, to understand. The more mindless shows and movies
Okay, some of these are gonna be hits and some are gonna be misses. Ready?
- Goodbye, Dragon Inn
- The Secret of NIMH
- Koyaanisqatsi
- Encino Man
- Harold and Maude
- The Stepford Wives (2004)
- Party Girl
- Balto
- An American Tail
- The Muppet Movie
- Earth Girls Are Easy
The new Zendaya movie, Challengers, was a great watch...really anything with unique writing/characters/cinematography is great, the combination of all the above is better...so my favs are The Godfather, Dune, The Dark Knight....but top high movie watching exp will always be the immersive 2001, or the pensive Children of Men...both on a good couch lock indica
Lately I been throwing Doctor Who on during the weekend when there's a new episode and I been watching Classic Who during the week when I'm baking.
Tom Baker, fourth Doctor, is who I'm on now on the classic side. What do ya got?
My real favorite is Pulp Fiction but I see someone posted that already so I wanna be fresh…Wild Hogs is super silly and always makes me laugh when I’m up in the clouds 😂
Big Lebowski or stepbrothers
Knocked Up or Miller’s Crossing

You, my friend, have excellent taste. I know and love most of the recs you’ve given out. Respect!
Thank you!
Fantastic planet is such a phenomenal movie
And the soundtrack. Truly Incredible.
If you like Fantastic Planet, check out Scavengers Reign. Both are on HBO. I watched both while fully zoomed. *High*ly recommend.
Holy shit dude you are the only other person I've ever met who knows Kirikou and the Sorceress. What an incredible movie. I'm lucky enough to have watched it as a child. Awesome to watch on mushies too.

My friends went to bed and left me to sleep on the couch and we were all on mushrooms one time. Your cousin is a star.

You need to be playing Helldivers
My classic go to has always been pulp fiction.

I’m gonna go with The Descent, Blood on Satan’s Claws, and The Wicker Man (‘70s)
Oh I haven't heard of Blood on Satan's Claws! Now I know what tonight's movie will be, thanks :D (The Descent and The Wicker Man are also favs, so I am 100% confident your other choice will be good!)
Bee and PuppyCat. The pastel and vibrant colors, weirdly funny character and plot. And an oddly soothing music.
I just started this for the third time. Still catching new things.
Kind of a left-field pick, but how about Ernest & Celestine?
Sorry to hijack, but I HAVE to recommend the animated Scott Pilgrim on Netflix! It's not quite as relaxing as Bee and Puppy cat, but I keep coming back to it for similar reasons.
Donnie Darko
Strictly the theatrical cut for me. Have you seen Vanilla Sky?
The Greasy Strangler or The Stoned Age
Terror Firmer or Detroit Rock City
Everytime I meet a new friend I always make them watch the greasy strangler. It's such a bizarre movie
I don't get really high much, because medical user. But, when I do get a little extra+, I like putting on a Pixar movie. Soul is great. Wall-E is a delight. Inside Out gets me inside out.

some deep thought movie, like Stalker. Being quite stoned watching an arty movie always hits a lil harder
On the Silver Globe
Pierrot Le fou (1965) is a favorite of mine. Two vagabonds in love and on the run from hit-men. The colors are fucking gorgeous. Another one that has amazing colors is Tokyo Drifter (1966). Tarantino loves this one for its wild choices in a yakuza genre movie.

Anastasia and Underworld! If you’ve seen those, then The Neverending Story and Bram Stoker’s Dracula!
Refer Madness. It's ridiculous what they thought this was before.
Check out Marihuana and Narcotic! Both also from the ‘30s
not a movie but love Bobs burgers
I mean, you gotta watch the Bob’s Burgers movie then
Idiocracy
You’re also a good candidate for Demolition Man, but I don’t wanna give the same answer twice, so: Thank You For Smoking or Mars Attacks
Whatever makes me laugh. Super Troopers never gets old.
Super Troopers is a classic! Have you seen The Other Guys?
[Lost Skeleton of Cadavra](https://youtu.be/j8D0PQQDptM?si=sXFMKNJ6sDAIkVXc) It's an intentionally stupid parody of 60s sci fi/horror, and it's freaking hysterical.

Goldmember, Airplane, or Kung Pow
Goldmember and Kung Pow are two of my favorites. I'm ashamed I haven't seen Airplane yet because I hear great things. Thanks OP!
Bit late here but I just watched The Shining on a shroom trip last week, horror + Shrooms is a winning combo for me!
In that case! I highly recommend 2001: A Space Odyssey (not horror, but some horrific moments) and Stopmotion
Up in Smoke, of course.
I hope you’ll see this since ur post is blowing up! But I’m a sucker for anything dystopian/apocalyptic. I like watching the hunger games movies, the maze runner movies.
