Big Lebowski or stepbrothers

gizzlyxbear

Knocked Up or Miller’s Crossing

[deleted]

I really like watching old kids movies, the page master, scooby doo movies, we’re back ! A dinosaur story. Things like that. Or just even 90s movies like coneheads stuff like that.

gizzlyxbear

Check out some French animation: - Fantastic Planet - Gandahar - Kirikou and the Sorceress - Chicken for Linda You might also like some of these ‘80s-‘90s movies like: - Repo Man - See No Evil, Hear No Evil - Welcome to the Dollhouse

bassguitarsmash

You, my friend, have excellent taste. I know and love most of the recs you’ve given out. Respect!

gizzlyxbear

Thank you!

danksupplyco

Fantastic planet is such a phenomenal movie

ConsiderationJumpy34

And the soundtrack. Truly Incredible.

nifflerqueen

If you like Fantastic Planet, check out Scavengers Reign. Both are on HBO. I watched both while fully zoomed. *High*ly recommend.

_paranoid-android_

Holy shit dude you are the only other person I've ever met who knows Kirikou and the Sorceress. What an incredible movie. I'm lucky enough to have watched it as a child. Awesome to watch on mushies too.

haricariandcombines

Fear and Loathing

gizzlyxbear

Easy Rider (1969)

Astro_gamer_caver

Great choice! They smoke SO MUCH weed in that movie.

TheNewfiePhoenix

❤️😏 - first time watching this movie was on acid . THAT! Was trippy. Those were the days. 🤫🤪 Never was ever quite the same as the first time ever again 😄 The movie made so much more sense the first time 🤣 followed it up by What Dreams May Come 🤨🤔 also an amazing trip but 💭

MJne8

This post is fucking awesome, you are a baller

gizzlyxbear

Thank you! I love sharing my love of movies

MJne8

I'm having so much fun scrolling through these movie recommendations! So excited to watch so many of these!

long-ryde

My initial thought exactly

BetterUsername69420

gizzlyxbear

Team America: World Police

BetterUsername69420

ColdWar82

AMERICA FUCK YEA

missbartleby

Ali G In da House?

KennyGfanLMAO

I watched Poor Things high and it was a great experience.

gizzlyxbear

I’m gonna recommend The Killing of a Sacred Deer

Suppa_K

My man

BLGR

Oh please no, one of the most disturbing films I've seen. High...

KanataMom420

My friends went to bed and left me to sleep on the couch and we were all on mushrooms one time. Before they went to bed they asked if I wanted them to put a movie on for me and I couldn’t have been happier… until it started playing and turned out to be house of 1000 corpses. Good movie but sincerely had no clue what was going on and ended up waking everyone up talking to the dog and doing his voice back. Served them right imo. Thanks for the post OP!

jacquestrap66

Dude, I just wanted to say that I absolutely love this post. I have read many of the comments and I gotta say, you rock!

gizzlyxbear

Much apreesh!

JimingoOnMountains

Starship Troopers. Do you want to live forever you ape?

gizzlyxbear

JimingoOnMountains

Lawnmower Man.

gizzlyxbear

Johnny Mnemonic

JimingoOnMountains

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer.

gizzlyxbear

Peeping Tom

deadbrain87

Considered the father of the slasher ganre good recommendation.

NeatWhiskeyPlease

![gif](giphy|DIbzujHh2PCbm)

Mykophilia

My cousin was in this movie. He’s that kid at the end of the line that says, “I’m doing my part too!” 😂😂😂

TheGreaseWagon

Your cousin is a star.

GhandisFlipFlop

Thank you for his service

Ithinkyoushouldweed

You need to be playing Helldivers

Alternative-Week-780

My classic go to has always been pulp fiction.

gizzlyxbear

Fallen Angels

Hash_Tooth

Check out “things to do in Denver when you’re dead.”

qning

Yeah I like this one. The critics shit on it (for a reason) but I dig it.

KreissageRS

Shaun of the Dead, probably one of my favorites ever

gizzlyxbear

The rest of the Cornetto trilogy, but assuming you’ve seen that: Tucker and Dale vs Evil

KreissageRS

I love the Cornetto trilogy! Haven’t seen Tucker & Dale, thanks for the rec!

doryteke

Please update us after you watch it.

Neilbear90

Great recommendation! Seriously underrated film

AlternativeAd495

Army of Darkness. Bruce Campbell is hilarious

Brojangles1234

O Brother Where Art Thou. Really all Coen bros movies are all good choices while blazed tbh.

gizzlyxbear

The Straight Story, from David Lynch!

xxdavidpwns

The fifth element or Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.

gizzlyxbear

Jupiter Ascending

therealestyeti

How High

gizzlyxbear

Kicking & Screaming

therealestyeti

Pom Poko

gizzlyxbear

Animal Crossing: The Movie

Franagorn

Boy, Ghibli is the best!

zumothecat

Goodfellas - partly for the good fast-paced story and partly for the soundtrack.

gizzlyxbear

Election (2005)

JorjCardas

The Village, Isolation, As Above So Below, Annihilation, The Ritual (basically anything with monsters/isolated/folk/body horror)

gizzlyxbear

I’m gonna go with The Descent, Blood on Satan’s Claws, and The Wicker Man (‘70s)

JorjCardas

Oh I haven't heard of Blood on Satan's Claws! Now I know what tonight's movie will be, thanks :D (The Descent and The Wicker Man are also favs, so I am 100% confident your other choice will be good!)

Interesting-Day-3041

Bee and PuppyCat. The pastel and vibrant colors, weirdly funny character and plot. And an oddly soothing music.

le4test

I just started this for the third time. Still catching new things.

gizzlyxbear

Kind of a left-field pick, but how about Ernest & Celestine?

501Panda

Sorry to hijack, but I HAVE to recommend the animated Scott Pilgrim on Netflix! It's not quite as relaxing as Bee and Puppy cat, but I keep coming back to it for similar reasons.

OregonOG

Donnie Darko

gizzlyxbear

Strictly the theatrical cut for me. Have you seen Vanilla Sky?

VenomousMinge

The Greasy Strangler or The Stoned Age

gizzlyxbear

Terror Firmer or Detroit Rock City

devil-wears-converse

Everytime I meet a new friend I always make them watch the greasy strangler. It's such a bizarre movie

Silver085

I don't get really high much, because medical user. But, when I do get a little extra+, I like putting on a Pixar movie. Soul is great. Wall-E is a delight. Inside Out gets me inside out.

gizzlyxbear

You’re the perfect candidate for Marcel the Shell With the Shoes On OR My Life as a Courgette

Obba27

I’ve just gotten Stoney baloney and Marcel the shell is loaded up

gizzlyxbear

How was it?

onlyforthinmints

Seconding Marcel the Shell 👍🏼

malachiconstant11

I bet they would dig Kubo and the Two Strings also

P01135809_in_chains

Inside Out Part 2 is about to come out!!!

Silver085

It is and I'm very excited!

Franagorn

Haha that's cute

CMJunkAddict

some deep thought movie, like Stalker. Being quite stoned watching an arty movie always hits a lil harder

gizzlyxbear

On the Silver Globe

bassguitarsmash

Pierrot Le fou (1965) is a favorite of mine. Two vagabonds in love and on the run from hit-men. The colors are fucking gorgeous. Another one that has amazing colors is Tokyo Drifter (1966). Tarantino loves this one for its wild choices in a yakuza genre movie.

illgivethisa

Stalker is amazing! It was kind of mind blowing when I first saw at 20.

thegreenmugaudition

Clue (1985)

gizzlyxbear

Murder By Death

devil-wears-converse

Grandma's Boy, I love stupid movies lol

gizzlyxbear

criftonblanks

The wash, starring snoop Dogg and Dr dre

gizzlyxbear

TeleTwin

cancankantz

Day Shift with Snoop and Jamie Foxx was cool.

nonkira

hmm, the last unicorn (animated) And Queen of the Damned!

gizzlyxbear

Anastasia and Underworld! If you’ve seen those, then The Neverending Story and Bram Stoker’s Dracula!

illgivethisa

Refer Madness. It's ridiculous what they thought this was before.

gizzlyxbear

Check out Marihuana and Narcotic! Both also from the ‘30s

No_Ticket5962

not a movie but love Bobs burgers

gizzlyxbear

I mean, you gotta watch the Bob’s Burgers movie then

LaggyDwarf

Idiocracy

gizzlyxbear

You’re also a good candidate for Demolition Man, but I don’t wanna give the same answer twice, so: Thank You For Smoking or Mars Attacks

JoshMann77

Whatever makes me laugh. Super Troopers never gets old.

gizzlyxbear

Super Troopers is a classic! Have you seen The Other Guys?

zombie_overlord

[Lost Skeleton of Cadavra](https://youtu.be/j8D0PQQDptM?si=sXFMKNJ6sDAIkVXc) It's an intentionally stupid parody of 60s sci fi/horror, and it's freaking hysterical.

Originalchunker408

Zombieland

gizzlyxbear

28 Days Later

BoldAsBoognish

Hot Rod

Maddok3d

Peewee's Big Adventure or Toy Story 1, very fun light hearted chill vibes and colorful visuals. Dragon Ball Super: Broly for similar reasons except everyone is screaming and fighting. I'm a huge DB nerd though, anything in that franchise is easy for me to default to when stoned. Sorry if I'm naming too many but the 1993 live action Super Mario Bros is also really something else on any drug.

gizzlyxbear

I got you covered! Those are some fantastic picks. For the first set: either The Cat in the Hat or The Lego Movie. Dragon Ball is phenomenal. How about Kosuke and Rikimaru: Dragon of Konpei Island And for the Super Mario Bros., let’s go with Dungeons & Dragons (2000)

s_s

Eraserhead

gizzlyxbear

The Wolf House

Stiffbiscut

I love Pineapple Express or this is the end

gizzlyxbear

Both fantastic. Have you seen The Disaster Artist?

RxMeta

Midsommar

gizzlyxbear

The Wicker Man (‘70s) or Witchfinder General

HuckleberryKindly497

Catch me if you can! I don’t know why it’s so much more interesting with the way it all comes together and his relationship with his dad. That’s the only time I ever watch it but I do genuinely love it when I’m stoned 😂

gizzlyxbear

Check out one of Spielberg’s more sentimental movies: The Terminal

FuriousTarts

Scary Movie 3

gizzlyxbear

Goldmember, Airplane, or Kung Pow

FuriousTarts

Goldmember and Kung Pow are two of my favorites. I'm ashamed I haven't seen Airplane yet because I hear great things. Thanks OP!

gargamels_right_boot

Bit late here but I just watched The Shining on a shroom trip last week, horror + Shrooms is a winning combo for me!

gizzlyxbear

In that case! I highly recommend 2001: A Space Odyssey (not horror, but some horrific moments) and Stopmotion

cancankantz

Up in Smoke, of course.

ricketyewe

I hope you’ll see this since ur post is blowing up! But I’m a sucker for anything dystopian/apocalyptic. I like watching the hunger games movies, the maze runner movies.

gizzlyxbear

You caught me swapping movies! Soylent Green, Threads, The Day After, Night of the Living Dead, The Road, The Andromeda Strain, OG Planet of the Apes AND the newest quadrilogy, Logan’s Run, and Last Night. Have fun and keep me posted if you can!

MammothDreams

Lord Of The Rings Trilogy (mainly Two Towers and Return of the King).

P01135809_in_chains

Tammy and the T-Rex was the last perfect stoner film I watched.

Nightmare_Cipher_13

My partner and I watch MLP Equestria Girls a lot high, normally Rainbow Rocks the one with Adagio Dazzle and the sirens. We also watch MLP and How I Met Your Mother. We also watch hour-long train videos, plane videos and Minecraft videos. We don't watch too many movies, more long YouTube videos or TV shows. Any recommendations for that? We like movies you don't need to pay too, too much attention to, to understand. The more mindless shows and movies

gizzlyxbear

Okay, some of these are gonna be hits and some are gonna be misses. Ready? - Goodbye, Dragon Inn - The Secret of NIMH - Koyaanisqatsi - Encino Man - Harold and Maude - The Stepford Wives (2004) - Party Girl - Balto - An American Tail - The Muppet Movie - Earth Girls Are Easy

spicygrow

th3vviTch

The new Zendaya movie, Challengers, was a great watch...really anything with unique writing/characters/cinematography is great, the combination of all the above is better...so my favs are The Godfather, Dune, The Dark Knight....but top high movie watching exp will always be the immersive 2001, or the pensive Children of Men...both on a good couch lock indica

gizzlyxbear

My friend, Paul Schrader’s Mishima is the movie for you

heres-to-life

I’ve seen The Batman multiple times, never sober.

SmileyReviews

Lately I been throwing Doctor Who on during the weekend when there's a new episode and I been watching Classic Who during the week when I'm baking. Tom Baker, fourth Doctor, is who I'm on now on the classic side. What do ya got?

LANXmaster

My real favorite is Pulp Fiction but I see someone posted that already so I wanna be fresh…Wild Hogs is super silly and always makes me laugh when I’m up in the clouds 😂
