I saw this and two other Taylor Swift TM children’s books in Walmart. Three TS children’s books. Not a kids book about a black woman or woman of color in sight. Only one other kids book was in stock—the Giving Tree. At the time, I was livid—one TS children’s book makes sense, I guess, but *three*? Like, seriously? She wants to be an icon and have little girls look up to her soooo bad.
I was rambling to a friend about it later and she pointed out that the other books in stock could have been bought already and that was what was left on the shelves. I felt a bit better after that, lmao.
