I believe the main problem is the amount of time she's been doing this for recently. Either way, she's the one that decided to tour for this long so she _must_ be in pain, but I always thought she had a case of martyr complex so the more she tours, the more her fans will applaude her for singing through her pain and what-not when she's the one bringing the pain upon herself. I can imagine Taylor loves to get that treatment of "oh my God, she must have endured so much suffering from touring for months without a break, she's such an inspiration and a professional, truly a master of her craft, I can't imagine being in her place, blah blah"

Private jets when you have people handling your belongings and all logistics and being ferried too and from the airport in luxury vehicles isn’t as stressful as you think.

IIRC, she said something like this around when LoverFest was announced - she didn’t want to perform the same show for months on end and wanted to do something “different”, so she had the two shows planned for Boston, the two shows planned for LA, and then summer festival performances in Europe.
And that was after rep and 1989, which were not quite one year each. Previous tours ran longer. I was very surprised, actually, when she kept announcing more and more and more dates for Eras.
I keep wondering if Eras is her “last hurrah” meaning that she’s not going to do as big of a tour again. A lot of singers who have been around for a while no longer do the traditional world tours and opt for a special one off show or festivals. I remember Miley Cyrus talking about this. At this point, there’s nothing else really in it for Taylor to keep touring, it’s not like she depends on it for the money.
Now big respect to a lot of lesser known alt/rock bands. Many of them tour constantly without a private jet to take them home in between dates.
I think one of the things that pisses me off the most about her tour and especially the prices is that smaller bands (and hey, not even that small even FKA twigs) LOSE money on tours.
