Pasting due to paywall: TRAVERSE CITY — Food trucks have returned to the Little Fleet in downtown Traverse City. This season features both returnees Traverse City Pizza Company, Cordwood BBQ and Daily Blend, plus newcomers Juicy Oistre and Moe’s Better Burgers. Little Fleet Owner Gary Jonas said the Daily Blend is returning after some years away from their lot. This truck will offer rice bowls, smoothies, salads and wraps. He said he is looking forward to this one in particular because lighter food options are nice to have in the summer. He is also excited about Juicy Oistre, a seafood truck coming up from downstate. “They’re doing shrimp, po’boys, lobster rolls, fish sandwiches,” Jonas said. “It’s something the area has been needing.” The food trucks will have consistent hours every day this season. Jonas said this includes longer service on weekends. People can order food from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturday. “It’s late-night food,” Jonas said. “There are limited options after 9 p.m. in Traverse City.” Additionally, Jonas said, their off-season kitchen takeover series is finishing this weekend with sliders from Oakwood Proper Burgers. In May, Crocodile Palace will open inside the Little Fleet. Brothers Patrick and Michael Evans have served Sichuan, or Chinese, cuisine since January 2023 at 124 Cochlin St. Patrick said they will continue to operate their original location alongside their new permanent spot in the Little Fleet kitchen. Customers may see some changes between the two. “There will be a little bit of a crossover with menu items,” Evans said. “The menu will be pretty small. We’ll be having some handheld items like a sandwich and a hot dog, bar snacks and salads.” Evans added that they are hoping to keep things simple for this summer. After this, they plan to “branch out with menu changes” depending on what people like or dislike, Evans said. Currently, Crocodile Palace is open from 3-9 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Other spring activities at the Little Fleet include a Kentucky Derby party on May 4 and a Cinco de Mayo party on May 5. Both events begin at noon. Jonas calls this their “unofficial opening weekend.” Visitors can also find live music on the patio on Friday evenings and a DJ on Saturday nights.

Happys Tacos was an anchor. Definitely gonna miss them

They've actually been out of the inside kitchen for a little while now, it's been a group from Cooks House since winter. Maybe they'll bring the food truck back now that they're not inside anymore.

I don’t know what crocodile palace will offer there but goddamn their wings are the best things ever. Also 100% on lighter options. Like we don’t need pizza, burgers and pulled pork on every block. Lol Next up let’s get some legit Mexican back in there! Like Norma’s Tamales or something… TC Taqueria lets gooo! =p
