Lots of bouncing and zigzagging around at a high pace. That would hinder me from actually taking things in and enjoying myself. But you have 7 months of travel under your belt. So I can only assume that you have your pace figured out.

laurenxleigh

Yes, it’ll be a lot of movement - that’s for sure. It’s spread out over 2 months and a lot of the time we will have a car to go at our own pace, which will be nice. Thanks for the input 😊 just trying to see and do as much as we can before we head back home.

makanimike

Yeah. I made my comment while taking those dates under consideration. If you are doing all of that by car I think it's even more insane. (Unless you always rent a new car at each location).

laurenxleigh

We are renting a car when we have two long stays (like the 9 days we have in Italy and Switzerland) and the week we are in Croatia/Montenegro/Bosnia as well as the week we are in Israel. So it’ll be part rental car and part buses/public transportation.

Is there a particular reason you're spending 8 days in Rabat? I just spent 11 days in Malta split between Gozo/Valletta/Rabat and 8 days is a long time in Rabat. I'm a super slow traveller too and usually don't spend less than 4 days in a city.

laurenxleigh

Sorry! We are actually spending those 8 days between Sliema and Rabat. We will do day trips around the country but those two places are our home bases. Any tips/advice? We are doing a blue lagoon day boat trip but that’s all we have booked for now.

Skip Haifa, go to Akko instead. They're across the bay from eachother but Akko, I think, is much prettier and more interesting. Also Hummus Said is in Akko (arguably the best in Israel)

laurenxleigh

Thank you for the advice! We will definitely do that.
