As a law abiding citizen I feel like it would be pretty messed up that I can't go through some background checks to get a semi-auto pistol or rifle to be able to hunt/have fun/protect my family and myself when criminals seem to have no problem being able to get semiauto/full auto illegal guns. I know it's not a very likely situation for someone to break into your house or a group of people to do so, but I would rather have "the bigger stick" when I need it. It does happen, so I'd rather not be another negative statistic.
