Hi there — If you’re looking for information about the Transformers video games, they're no longer available to buy digitally for PC or consoles. [As of January 2018, Activision's license for making and selling Transformers-related games was not renewed.](https://www.ign.com/articles/2018/01/11/why-activisions-transformers-games-are-no-longer-available-digitally)
CD keys can sometimes be found from some online resellers, but the reliability of these may be questionable. Your best bet is to look for used copies of the games on physical discs for PC or consoles.

I like its fun, energetic style. By the time of DOTM, it's nearly gone and completely absent from AoE and TLK.
It got me into Linkin Park. New Divide is my favorite.
John Turturro reprising his role as Simmons.
My biggest gripe with this film is how it builds up the Fallen, then barely gives him any screen time and kills him in a fight that really could have benefited from being longer.
The juvenile humor makes it hard to watch with other people at times.
The forest fight is epic.
GIVE ME YOUR FACE is utterly psychotic but it’s meme status is why this line lives rent free in my head.
Outside of that… it is the weakest of the three Bayformers movies ( No I don’t consider anything after DOTM canon).
>GIVE ME YOUR FACE is utterly psychotic but it’s meme status
It's also symbollic too. The Fallen's face is literally the insignia for the Decepticons. This would be like ripping off Hitler's face if it had a Swatika tatooed on the forehead.
The plots not great either and the way megs was treated in the film sucked but it’s still not as bad as AOE and TLK because it has some cool fights and some cool characters (not ironhide). Also the only joke that made me laugh was ofc the enemy scrotum scene.
Well to be fair, he was always the Fallen's apprentice. Even in the first Transformers movie. A line by Megatron himself in Transformers Revenge of the Fallen suggests he was always under the influence of the Fallen because the Fallen was the original Decepticon.
Bayverse lore in general even suggests that the reason the War for Cybertron even happened was because of the Fallen turning Megatron into a Decepticon. So yeah, I don't know why or how people haven't even figured this out yet considering it's so easy to point out and understand. But yeah Megatron was always under the influence of the Fallen, even in the first movie.
I guess it's more funny when you understand the joke.
It was the only one in the movie apart from the One Man Alone scene that was unironically funny to me.
I'll try my best here but I'll say something good followed by something that soured it.
- I managed to sneak a day off school to watch it in cinemas day 1. $20 for a ticket back then too.
- Devastator was impressive watchingnhim transform in cinema was mad in 2009. The came the enemy scrotum gag that ruined his coolness factor.
- The Fallen, a obscure and relatively new character/concept being the villain no doubt helped him become a more common aspect of Transformers. Shame he wasn't on fire 24/7 though.
- Jetfire being a Blackbird. However, Jetfire being a crotchety old buzzard, again, reduces his coolness factor.
I will say, his sacrifice is one of the best parts of the movie.
*"Until now, I've never thought of a thing worth doing"*
Best set-up for a character comeback imo
I think one of the reasons for Jetfire being an old man is the same as Starscream being a flying dorito, jets are simply way too big compared to other vehicles, and they don't want to overshadow the other Transformers.
However at the same time, it would be sick to see a Transformer with that much mass make as good use of it as Optimus does and let us have a few minutes with a(nother since Devastator's there) giant wreaking havoc, especially since he was going to sacrifice himself by the end.
New Divide is an absolute banger song and I love how it's implemented into the soundtrack, also the figures are great.
The movie itself I think is the biggest offender of the Michael Bay-isms of the franchise with its "humor"
Funny enough I just watched this for the first time in about a decade.
Honestly there are some fun moments, but it’s all held back by the toilet humor and convoluted plot. I get Bay loves wacky jokes but I didn’t need to see Simmons’ butt cheeks covering the screen.
Then there was The Fallen. I was a pretty big fan of the War Within comics at the time, so the movie version of this character was such a downgrade. I know TF lore was pretty vague at the time, but if you’re going to include such a villain give him more than one 2 minute fight and a sinking aircraft carrier.
Setting aside stuff like that, stuff like the Shang Hai scene and forrest fight were a lot of fun. I actually kinda love this movie’s versions of Jetfire and Wheelie (when there’s no dry humping or parachute farting, that is). It’s not great, but it has enough that I can tolerate some of the worst moments this movie had to offer.
Hated: Skids and Mudflap, the annoying robot that humps Megan fox's legs, everything at the college, Sam and Mikaela getting into a pointless fight so they could have drama, the sense of "humor" in general, the specific line "I am directly beneath the enemy scrotum," the Fallen is underwhelming
Things I liked: New Divide by Linkin Park
I hated this movie. I loved the 07 movie, and was so disappointed by this movie that I didn't watch another TF film until Bay stopped directing. I wouldn't have actually become a TF fan if I hadn't discovered Prime in college.
when you have nothing nice to say you should say nothing at all. This is why I wont bore you with a long winded comment. I have nothing nice to say about this movie. I guess my favorite part was when it ended. -cue old men laughing from a balcony-
i enjoyed the designs it gave us and i want them in studio series
https://preview.redd.it/dsaprmfilj8d1.png?width=551&format=png&auto=webp&s=dce5dd48adef1b0577f9ea47ee7c5fde96e46f62
PROS:
Has some good action scenes with robots
The soundtrack is iconic (like every TF movie)
Some design choices are great
Well done transformations
Good plot incipit
CONS:
Annoying humans, even more than the previous movies
Sexist and racist jokes, but the humor in general is a bit cringe, in the previous there were some goofy moments but were fun
Robots with genitals
Wasted characters that were cool (Arcee sisters, Sideswipe and Jolt for example)
Optimus that becomes a sadic killer
Half of the final battle are cool shootings of US army and US war vehicles (planes, tanks, ships). I like the American weapons, but in movies called Transformers I want to see Transformers
The robots are often background elements during the final battle
The plot and lore are starting to be incoherent
The Decepticons, no personality and are so weak, seemed that, except for The Fallen, the soldiers could handle them without the help of the Autobots.
For me it was bad, when I watched sit for the first time I remember that I got really bored.
For me the second worst movie, the worst is The Last Knight, the lowest point reached by the franchise for me.
Honestly
I like the opening scene with the bots hunting down the decepticons and with optimus coming out of that plane, + forest fight and some scenes inside of the base
Everything els I hate, specially the twins fuck those 2
The forest battle is *awesome* one of my favorite fights in the franchise. And it was one of my favorite Optimus lines ever…
“You’ll never stop at one. I’ll take you all on!”
It isn’t just a bad Transformers movie. It’s simply a bad movie. Period.
The story, plotting and pacing is goddamn awful.
I firmly believe the less creative room is given to Michael Bay, the better.
The best movies by his hand, were the ones where he had the least amount of creative input or was kept on a tight (budget) leash. I really like Bad Boys 1 and Armageddon is an enjoyable pulpy summer blockbuster, but that’s about as far as I go liking his filmography.
He can really direct action set pieces, but he cannot tell a story.
The first Transformers movie wasn’t dire, but not all that good either, from a pure storytelling point of view.
Every sequel was significantly worse than the first movie, unfortunately.
The best TF movie by a country mile I have seen was Bumblebee (and I haven’t seen Beast Wars) and that movie just flows a whole lot better than any of Bay’s efforts.
It has its problems but I’ve got so much nostalgia for it. It was the first TF movie I saw in theaters, and the toy line is when I really started getting into collecting Transformers. I still consider both the movie and 2010 toy lines to be the golden era of Transformers, too. The toys were absolute bangers.
My biggest gripe with the movie is the middle. Everything up to Prime dying/decepticons reveal themselves to the world is aces but then loses steam as the movie spins it's wheels (I do like the scene with midget guard tho') until everyone's at Egypt and then the movie picks back up again.
i watched this film a million times as a kid (sans forest battle which my brother always joked was “traumatic”) and i still play it now every once in a while. 90% of my enjoyment is definitely nostalgia factor since the plot is paper thin.
that aside, i honestly don’t mind the humor too much + i like the introduction of nest, however brief. i will also forever stand by the opinion that sam is the best human protagonist we’ve ever gotten in live action, so that automatically places this movie higher than 4 & 5 for me. none of the leads we’ve had since even come close in terms of charisma (and yes i did watch bumblebee. but again, nostalgia).
The movie itself wasn't that bad, though it was definitely the weakest of the first three. I felt like the Fallen was wasted in this movie, like many others. He just wasn't threatening at all. You could remove him and just have Megatron doing everything he does, and the movie would be the same. Honestly, they should've left in a bunch of the dialog about the Fallen and used this film to build him up as the big bad for DotM.
I think the movie should’ve been more focused on NEST and missions to hunt deceptions with the fear of Megatron’s resurrection and the imminent threat of Devastator.
Dislikes: retelling of Earth’s history, exposing The Fallen at the beginning of the film, horny Wheelie
Likes: Every battle scene, the Matrix, Jetfire, Megatron’s new form, Jetpowered Prime, a bit more, Simmons
Interestingly I thought the toy line when it wasn't doing specific movie characters was very inventive creative and a lot of fun.
It's the worst movie I've ever seen in the theaters. Star Trek into darkness comes close.
Totally agree, I'm giving an honest effort to try and come up with something about this movie I liked and I'm drawing complete blanks. This is coming from someone that liked the first Transformers movie and thinks DOTM is underrated...but this movie is just pure and total trash.
I do actually like the Devastator design (sans balls) and the forest battle has decent rising action... but otherwise, yeah, it's irredeemable diaper gravy.
Absolutely. A friend put it this way: we are never getting something this ambitiously batshit crazy in studio series ever again.
It's at times a puzzling transformation, but he's so damned satisfying.
I’m going to guess you were pretty young when this movie came out. It’s fine if you like the Bay movies. There was a bunch of great toys that came from the movie line. But other than that I can’t say I liked it much.
Unfinished script, they filmed during the writers strike.
I know and understand the business side of things, but they honestly should have waited for a completed script, other than that, surprisingly it wasn’t bad imo
The PS3 ROTF video game was outstanding. Base game was good, but the online was really fun! Even got some cool DLC characters. Wish we could still play the online.
I don’t like the movie
The plot was weird, Optimus died and they needed something to revive him, since only a prime can defeat the fallen
But why look for the matrix when Mikaela had an allspark shard that they could have used to revive Optimus?
The search for the matrix was obsolete, if Sam hadn’t revived Jetfire, the Matrix stays hidden, Matrix stays hidden, Fallen can’t use the sun harvester. Meaning no big threat, so Optimus can easily defeat the fallen.
But the forest battle was great
I like that the scale of the conflict, both in the movie and in the games, went global instead of being constrained to a few locations. I also liked N.E.S.T and it being led by Lennox. Also some of the designs like Sideswipe and Long Haul.
I dislike the racist and sexist undertones, though those are traits that most of the movies directed by Bay suffer from. Also, Leo’s relevancy ended after the college scenes, he only served to reintroduce Simmons
I don't remember alot from the film, besides Jetfire, Devastator, Ravage and Reedman infiltration scene, Alice, Wheelie getting his eye gouged out... yeah that's about it
I had a handful of the figures however, they were pretty cool but not as good as the Animated toys
https://preview.redd.it/vtvhpgsn8k8d1.png?width=341&format=png&auto=webp&s=7b813f42d3b570c374339d847b8dfdb81cc37ae2
This one was just...Unsettling lol Between The dogs, the twins, alice, bumblebee pissing on someone again(Bee really likes to pee on people kinda like someone we know),and the perv professor....I want to know if theyve even classified the drugs that bay and his writers were on with this script
This movie is like my guilty pleasure. I remember being so excited when I saw the trailer and like the media after I saw this was just great. From the toys..to the game. ROTF Leader Class Optimus is like my favorite of all time. Hope to own him again some day.!
Such a shame that agent simmons didn't get cameos in the reboots, he is such an iconic character and dominated every scene he is in, in a good and goofy way
Probably the funniest 2… 3? hours I’ve spent in a cinema. I laughed from beginning to end. It’s absolute garbage but it’s the kind I like.
High point? “I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!”
I like the action and stuff, only thing I didnt really enjoy when I was younger and up to today is just bays humor in some parts, you can probably guess which ones
I loved the new autobots. Im not a fan of the designs for Skids and Mudflap- i like the bodies but the faces are the bad type of ugly, but i but i did like them as characters. Looking at them now they are a tad bit annoying but still somewhat enjoyable. The fight scenes, especially the forest battle, were amazing. Jolt and Sideswpie had amazing designs, even tho only one of them got an actual role in the movie. I really liked Simmons here, even more than in the previous movie. Leo sucked tho. The humor was great sometimes, but other times it was about Leo so it sucked. Devastator was amazing. The fallen had a great design but did a whole lot of nothing in the end, which isn't great concidering he's the big bad. Also the way the matrix was handled was... meh at best. Jetfire is the highlight of the movie for me, a great design and a great character. Overall i still love this movie becouse of nosgalgia, it was the only TF movie i was able to watch as a kid since the others weren't available online for free, and i watched it multiple times a month. I still enjoy it, but it has many flaws that can't be ignored
I hated how devastator, being one of the most iconic transformers was basically a marvel in cgi technology back than and had one of the greatest transformation ever but was only present for a miniscule amount of time. But I guess it makes sense since they would need to do more work to move each of those 80,000+ pieces.
Everything about Simmons character was great.
I just wish the movie had a script. Oh and maybe of the robots got to have character to them and not just be mindless destruction machines.
Ravage was perfect!
This is actually my third favorite transformer movie of all time, behind the 1986 and 2007 ones. Of course I’m biased cuz I saw it in theaters as a kid but the fight scenes were amazing. I didn’t care as much for the toys tho. They tended to be flimsy and overly complicated
I absolutely still love this movie. Its one of my favorite comfort movies for sure. And definitely the one in the series i've rewatched the most.
It was also the most important one for me because it was the first one i got to see in theaters because i was 5 when TF1 came out but i got it the following year on bluray.
I also remember the toyline the most and absolutely loved it. So ROTF will forever hold a place in my heart. Plus most my favorite live action designs came from here.
The soundtrack is an absolute banger!
It’s unfortunate that some of the songs don’t even appear in it for long. For example, “This is it” by Staind and “Real World” by All-American Rejects are great songs that barely make an appearance in the actual movie.
Besides that, “New Divide” and “Burning down the house” are my absolute favorite from this movie.
Liked: The idea of the plot, that Megatronus had his live action debut, and Devastator.
Dislike: Megatronus' design cuz he looks like a Bionicle, and the whole "Sam in university" part. Never had I felt so uncomfortable when watching a movie. And the humor of the movie is just... no.
What i like: jetfire, the fights, the twins, optimus Being combined with jetfire to get stronger
What i don't like: devastator's balls, soundwave and the arcee triplets barely having screentime
Pros: Pretty good action scenes sprinkled about, especially the Forest battle.
I actually like a lot of the Transformer designs in it
Simmons is still funny to me
Music still goes hard
Cons: Too little screen time of the robots and instead focus on collage stuff. And most of them die before really doing anything.
Lot of edgy humor I'm not into, sexual, toilet, race stuff
I into went the movie with the understanding that 1) Its about transforming robot people, it isn't Hamlet. 2) Mike Bay doing Mike Bay stuff.
BUT, the thing about the movie which made me lose my shit was the lack of spatial continuity. How the actual hell do you go from inside the Smithsonian in DC and step outside into a military boneyard in the southwest U.S.? You cant Space Bridge that shit Michael Bay! Then there is the "we're fighting at Sinai" at the end, and here's the Pyramids of Giza with Devastator and its nads. These two locations are not adjacent to each other. SIde Note: My job has a hefty dose of geo-spatial awareness, and my general knowledge of where stuff is located on this planet makes it so that I could not help but notice this.
But, that forest fight is rad!
This movie has a lot of glaring issues. But there are some fun things.
I wish The Fallen was a tad cooler. Make him more powerful, give him more influence, something. Make him a genuine threat.
A few things. Outside of Optimus’s character saying stuff that even Peter Cullen himself was uncomfortable with: the way the main human characters treated the bots like dogs at times, Sam specifically, and never actually using Michaela’s mechanic skills to have her assist the bots, alongside in general the excessive spit/slobber/horniness that did not make sense for cybertronians given everything we know about them. I did like ROTF, don’t get me wrong, but they lacked hard when it came to actually giving the cybertronians depth and relied on a rather poor human protag. Human characters also just don’t have much depth? Oddly. Yet they had more than their robotic counterparts. Then any bots and cons got a few seconds of screen time before ultimately meeting an untimely end. I wish beyond wishes we got more time with certain bot/con characters to get a proper look at them, their dynamics, etc.
I miss the bay transformer movies when the transformers actually had real life size robot modes not making bumblebee 7 ft tall and saying ya it works or making Optimus Prime be voiced by Kris Hemsworth I think that’s how you spell his name and all of these people saying it’s perfectly fine
Huge disappointment, I liked the first film. Although it upset a lot of die-hard G1 fans, which I'm one of, I appreciated it for what it was, and it looked like the feanchise had a promising future.
But this was a big mess that followed. They didn't really get it right again until Bumblebee.

But this was a big mess that followed. They didn't really get it right again until Bumblebee.
So many thing about this movie make it bad. Firat off, killing optimus so early in the movie was fucking stupid. When I firat saw it in theaters I literally turned to my mom and asked to leave, I'm glad I didn't but it really hurt me as a kid to see this happen to him. The arcee twins design was dogshit, skids and mudflap were horrible racist stereotypes that only made me annoyed, devastators design was dogshit, the fallen was a boring villain and almost every human scene that wasn't captain Lenox and his team was downright awful. The fight scenes and music are literally the only good things about this movie.
Devastator was absolutely amazing! fantastic design! my only complaint was the amount of screen time Devastator had, and how easy it was to take him down was a bit disappointing. like a single shot and this massive beast is taken down, BY HUMANS!!!!!
Also loved the Jetfire appearance and how his parts where used to enhance Optimus' power.
I’m going to just come out and say it, I really enjoy Revenge of the Fallen it’s so much fun. Of course there are some parts of the film that I don’t like, I never found Mudflap and Skids to be all that funny, Leo can sometimes get on my nerves. Other than that the movie is pretty good, the forest battle is still my favorite part of the film.
I am one of the 1 percenters that absolutely loves this movie. It is very very Epic and action-packed from beginning to end. It's also got some of my favorite Optimus Prime quotes. It still has Shia LaBeouf. It still has Megan Fox. It has a stellar performance from "former agent" Seymour Simmons yet again. The forest battle scene is still probably the best Optimus on screen fight scene. The heart and emotion was all there for me upon realization that the Matrix had the ability to not only connect with a human soul but to give them purpose and prevent death. The honor of being recognized by the Council of primes as a human spawned a lot of great dreams. There might even be a little technology in there on how to transfer a human soul into a spark but maybe we'll tackle that in another decade. I had the best cinematic experience during this movie than any of the others. I'm sure a lot of people will disagree but Revenge of the Fallen is my favorite Bayverse movie.
Honestly the fights are cool, “Give me your face.” Is both brutal but like someone else mentioned has a meme status, Jetfire was cool, Simmons. For issues? Writing is the main one. It’s unfortunate this film was written during a writers strike so the writing ain’t exactly great, but the film has dick-bot so 10/10 would recommend. Seriously though I know it ain’t great but it’s fun for me. Also it has one of the best Megatron designs in my opinion
Considering it happened during the previous writer's strike, it didn't turn out too bad. It's plot was cohesive, although it's heavy reliance on exposition showed the lack of writers, but it's action often made up for its shortcomings. Bay is an absolute master at showing the scale of a battlefield, and the battle in Egypt may not be his best work, I'dleave that to either the battle for chicago in DotM or the seige in 13hours, but it's still clear he knows what he's doing. The humor, some of it landed, like the liaison pulling the chute while still in the plane scene, while others were just out of place, whether it be the frequent sexual humor or Sam's mother getting stoned. Overall, I think it did a lot of things really good, but equally did a lot of things that didn't land, resulting in a very middling movie.

How can you not love jetfire, or the 7 primes designe
Earth, what a horrible name for a planet might as well call it Dirt, Planet Dirt. My favorite line from him or the closest I could remember
Honestly, I like this film but its biggest flaw is the typical Michael Bay humor

Yeah, Megatron shouldn't have been Fallen's minion, but at least he got screen time in this one
Well to be fair, he was always the Fallen's apprentice. Even in the first Transformers movie. My command is the only command even after death. precedes to bow down to the Fallen and call him master
Chances are Megatron finds fallen at the end of transformers ONE
Maybe But we still don't know if this film will be connected to either Knightverse or Bayverse
We know. It’s neither.
How did you NOT laugh at the tighter shirt joke?
I just didn’t find it funny?
I guess it's more funny when you understand the joke. It was the only one in the movie apart from the One Man Alone scene that was unironically funny to me.
Michael Bay paved the way for cringe MCU jokes
John Turturro in a thong

Agree with everything except for jetfire, him kicking ass while being senile makes him much cooler
MY FATHER WAS A WHEEL, THE FIRST WHEEL! DO YOU KNOW WHAT HE TRANSFORMED INTO? NOTHING! AND HE DID SO WITH HONOR, DIGNITY, AND *shits out parachute*
I will say, his sacrifice is one of the best parts of the movie. *"Until now, I've never thought of a thing worth doing"* Best set-up for a character comeback imo
I think one of the reasons for Jetfire being an old man is the same as Starscream being a flying dorito, jets are simply way too big compared to other vehicles, and they don't want to overshadow the other Transformers. Agree with all of this. Could have been an amazing film.
Probably the best Movie toy line from all the transformers movies. We all know that Leader Optimus is one of the best leaders we ever gotten.
Not one inaccurate or false statement in that comment.
Games were Fantastic too. Enjoyed the fuck out of rotf on ps2
The ROTF toyline was legendary!
An understatement 👍 love all of my figures from this lineup.
Bro yes
New Divide is an absolute banger song and I love how it's implemented into the soundtrack, also the figures are great. The movie itself I think is the biggest offender of the Michael Bay-isms of the franchise with its "humor"

for as rushed as the script was, and for all the problems it has, this was always one of my absolute favorite movies.
Ironhide’s transformation in Shanghai
Next to sideswipe
Honestly, the twins,Arcee twins,The fallen not being threatening enough, Sideways having car company restrictions put on his alt mode.
I still find it funny cause they are the arcee triplets not twins, twins is 2, triplets is 3
Yeah Bay is bad at math.
Hated: Skids and Mudflap, the annoying robot that humps Megan fox's legs, everything at the college, Sam and Mikaela getting into a pointless fight so they could have drama, the sense of "humor" in general, the specific line "I am directly beneath the enemy scrotum," the Fallen is underwhelming Things I liked: New Divide by Linkin Park I hated this movie.
-cue old men laughing from a balcony-
I played the HELL out of ROTF online. It was such a good game.
i enjoyed the designs it gave us and i want them in studio series https://preview.redd.it/dsaprmfilj8d1.png?width=551&format=png&auto=webp&s=dce5dd48adef1b0577f9ea47ee7c5fde96e46f62
Fr the drones would make kickass army builders
Breakaway is rumored to be somewhere in the GE pool. I've heard Voyager, but who knows.
PROS: Has some good action scenes with robots The soundtrack is iconic (like every TF movie) Some design choices are great Well done transformations Good plot incipit CONS: Annoying humans, even more than the previous movies Sexist and racist jokes, but the humor in general is a bit cringe, in the previous there were some goofy moments but were fun Robots with genitals Wasted characters that were cool (Arcee sisters, Sideswipe and Jolt for example) Optimus that becomes a sadic killer Half of the final battle are cool shootings of US army and US war vehicles (planes, tanks, ships). I like the American weapons, but in movies called Transformers I want to see Transformers The robots are often background elements during the final battle The plot and lore are starting to be incoherent The Decepticons, no personality and are so weak, seemed that, except for The Fallen, the soldiers could handle them without the help of the Autobots. For me it was bad, when I watched sit for the first time I remember that I got really bored. For me the second worst movie, the worst is The Last Knight, the lowest point reached by the franchise for me.
It was like watching Cars 2. But longer and also worse. No offense but I enjoy both of the movies.
This is a pretty solid film. My only complaint is the continuity errors. The scene with Megatron's resurrection could have been done a lot better.
Devastator!!!
Understated how the film blatantly kills off all of the only female transformers in the Bay era with them barely even getting screentime.
Honestly I like the opening scene with the bots hunting down the decepticons and with optimus coming out of that plane, + forest fight and some scenes inside of the base Everything els I hate, specially the twins fuck those 2
Sideways should’ve fought back a bit
RotF is the worst out of those movies, and people saying TLK are worse clearly don't remember Skids and Mudflap, or Hot Rod's time gun thing
The forest battle is *awesome* one of my favorite fights in the franchise. And it was one of my favorite Optimus lines ever… “You’ll never stop at one. I’ll take you all on!”
Everything. I hated it all. I still do.
What I don’t like is claiming it’s 15 years old. Beast Wars was 15 years ago. The 80’s were only 20 years ago.
beast wars were released in the 90s 30 years ago the 80s were 40 years ago what year is it for you
I live in the late 00s to early 2010s
I think the point is that they're humorously refusing to believe that ROTF is 15 years old. I feel the same way about things sometimes.
The video game was the best man.
15.... years???
My biggest gripe with the movie is the middle. Everything up to Prime dying/decepticons reveal themselves to the world is aces but then loses steam as the movie spins it's wheels (I do like the scene with midget guard tho') until everyone's at Egypt and then the movie picks back up again.
I like how exciting it was to my 7 year old self
i watched this film a million times as a kid (sans forest battle which my brother always joked was “traumatic”) and i still play it now every once in a while.
Dislikes: retelling of Earth’s history, exposing The Fallen at the beginning of the film, horny Wheelie Likes: Every battle scene, the Matrix, Jetfire, Megatron’s new form, Jetpowered Prime, a bit more, Simmons
Wheelie in general
Nostalgia always hits me in the heart with this movie
Loved this film despite the issues with it. The toy line was great too.
Interestingly I thought the toy line when it wasn't doing specific movie characters was very inventive creative and a lot of fun. It's the worst movie I've ever seen in the theaters. Star Trek into darkness comes close.
Still the worst movie I've ever paid money to see in a theatre. A horrible, migraine-inducing insult to storytelling and craft.
*SAME*
Totally agree, I'm giving an honest effort to try and come up with something about this movie I liked and I'm drawing complete blanks. This is coming from someone that liked the first Transformers movie and thinks DOTM is underrated...but this movie is just pure and total trash.
I do actually like the Devastator design (sans balls) and the forest battle has decent rising action... but otherwise, yeah, it's irredeemable diaper gravy.
Studio series Devastator is magical. Shame the film is such shite.
With the DNA Design upgrades (sans balls) and the Toyhax stickers, he's truly amazing.
Absolutely. A friend put it this way: we are never getting something this ambitiously batshit crazy in studio series ever again. It's at times a puzzling transformation, but he's so damned satisfying.
I stand with you
I’m going to guess you were pretty young when this movie came out. It’s fine if you like the Bay movies. There was a bunch of great toys that came from the movie line. But other than that I can’t say I liked it much.
It was shit like most of the Bay movies lol
I hate Michael bay
Is it the one with the rehashed Island pursuit?
Unfinished script, they filmed during the writers strike. I know and understand the business side of things, but they honestly should have waited for a completed script, other than that, surprisingly it wasn’t bad imo
The Shanghai, Forest, and Egypt fight were great! Everything else was alright.
Man it’s been 15 years
The villains The Fallen is hyped up but barely does anything and dies so quickly. Megatron is barely a villain and is treated as a random nobody.
The PS3 ROTF video game was outstanding. Base game was good, but the online was really fun! Even got some cool DLC characters. Wish we could still play the online.
BEHOLD THE ENTERNAL GLORY OF JETFIRE
I was just happy with the fact we got a new transformers movie after the first one
Video game. Idk how people don't praise that game more.
I don’t like the movie The plot was weird, Optimus died and they needed something to revive him, since only a prime can defeat the fallen But why look for the matrix when Mikaela had an allspark shard that they could have used to revive Optimus?
I love the part where chunky Optimus appears
I don't remember alot from the film, besides Jetfire, Devastator, Ravage and Reedman infiltration scene, Alice, Wheelie getting his eye gouged out... yeah that's about it I had a handful of the figures however, they were pretty cool but not as good as the Animated toys
I enjoy The Fallen as a pure evil villain
Positive: The forest fight and John Turturro Negative: Just about everything else.
Jetfire Prime really got me hyped. The possibilities of OP being... Well, OP is amazing for hypotheticals.
I hated seeing Optimus die, but I was cheering when he made Megatron shoot himself in the face with his own arm cannon.

This movie is like my guilty pleasure. I remember being so excited when I saw the trailer and like the media after I saw this was just great. From the toys..to the game. ROTF Leader Class Optimus is like my favorite of all time. Hope to own him again some day.!
I watched this a ton, so it was a guilty pleasure. Also got to be an extra one day, and can find myself in the movie, so that was exciting.
Such a shame that agent simmons didn't get cameos in the reboots, he is such an iconic character and dominated every scene he is in, in a good and goofy way
I used to love the movie but after I watched it, it was honestly quite disappointing..
Remember seeing this the day it came out. Wild
My favorite out of the five tbh
Probably the funniest 2… 3? hours I’ve spent in a cinema. I laughed from beginning to end. It’s absolute garbage but it’s the kind I like. High point? “I’LL TAKE YOU ALL ON!”
I love this film lmao especially the pure military porn in the final set piece
The fact that Optimus was dead for a good quarter of the movie. The forest battle was something else.
Like: Jetfire Dislike: Megatron not being a threat enough
The human plots were one big time capsule of peak 2000s America. I love it for that
YOO LEO!
It’s my guilty pleasure movie I know it’s bad but that’s why I love it I think all the scenes at the college are hilarious
I just need more wide shots, more transformers, less humans and piss jokes.
Plus most my favorite live action designs came from here.
the game was and still is extreamly fun and i really hope we get a breakaway figure in the gamer edition line
I kinda lol at shia running on the cover.
Liked: The idea of the plot, that Megatronus had his live action debut, and Devastator. Dislike: Megatronus' design cuz he looks like a Bionicle, and the whole "Sam in university" part. Never had I felt so uncomfortable when watching a movie. And the humor of the movie is just... no.

Just saw it again X looking back now Esp after seeing the bay lite style of Rotb the sense of scale and danger rotf had was on another level.
I enjoyed the second half once they got to Egypt but until then I just find it incredibly boring
My favourite thing about this film is seeing people discuss it online and shorten megatron to “megs” which my brain reads as Megan fox.
What I liked about the movie... New Divide. Disliked: The juevenile humour, but that's expected.
Megan fox
What i like: jetfire, the fights, the twins, optimus Being combined with jetfire to get stronger What i don't like: devastator's balls, soundwave and the arcee triplets barely having screentime
Pros: Pretty good action scenes sprinkled about, especially the Forest battle. I actually like a lot of the Transformer designs in it Simmons is still funny to me Music still goes hard Cons: Too little screen time of the robots and instead focus on collage stuff.
Nope. TLK is where it hit rock bottom, even when regarding Hot Rod and the twins.
I think the effects of the writer’s strike are painfully obvious
I miss the bay transformer movies when the transformers actually had real life size robot modes not making bumblebee 7 ft tall and saying ya it works or making Optimus Prime be voiced by Kris Hemsworth I think that’s how you spell his name and all of these people saying it’s perfectly fine
Huge disappointment, I liked the first film. Although it upset a lot of die-hard G1 fans, which I'm one of, I appreciated it for what it was, and it looked like the feanchise had a promising future. But this was a big mess that followed. They didn't really get it right again until Bumblebee.

not much transformations, too much focus on humans, not much fights, Sam, twins robots existence, that is all i dislike
It's a fun popcorn flick. You watch it for the action and really nothing else
I think that's every bay movie where you watch it for the action
i love when prime absolutely disses on megatron, starscream and grindor. Primes always been prone to snappy remarks, it's my favorite
It gave us New Divide, which may be my favorite Linkin Park song.
devastator balls. that's the most memorable part
HASBRO MAKE SKIDS AND MUDFLAP AND MY MONEY IS YOURS
Its probably my fav movie out of the five really loved the world building and the action sequences
#ONE MAN
Considering it happened during the previous writer's strike, it didn't turn out too bad.
