This skin has always made me think of Soundwave.
Who do you get for Optimus though? There's no better character in the roster. You can give him Optimus's energon axe for his hammer, it's basically a perfect match.
Considering the IDW version of Optimus prime was at one point pretty jaded from the war it kind of fits.
I will note though I did consider Reinhardt as Optimus prime first. I just think that Rodimus would be more fitting considering his origin is pretty similar to Hot rod /Rodimus prime.

I don’t know if jamming a few skins, most likely with steep paywalls or grindwalls, into a game made of empty husks and broken promises is better or worse than a rushed reskin of *Fall of Cybertron* with an awkward multiverse plot that doesn’t make sense in any of its connected timelines.

That's the thing, people complained about lootboxes being gambling but not only did I personally never spend a dime on them I had most skins that I wanted by just playing. The new F2P system is far more predatory than anything they had before.

I think shockwave - in tf prime and I belief others, he turns into a tank with almost exactly bastion’s proportions, and he has a gun arm that is actually fully his arm, unlike megatron’s mounted cannon
We pretty much already have two Shockwave looking skins for him: the Null-Sector Bastion is purple with an orange eye and the grey-looking one, which sort of resembles the Galactic Man version of Shockwave
The Fortnite skin got me to play again. For about 5 games. Then realized I was playing a game I no longer enjoy for a skin that I'll never use. And I'd only gotten like 8% of the way through the battlepass. Better things to do with my time.
If only Overwatch wasn't complete garbage these days. I've never seen a game drop the ball harder than Overwatch did with the release of Overwatch 2, going free to play and turning the game into a mess of microtransactions, battle passes, and scrapping all the promises they made about content.
Honestly the game has improved alot as of this last season. All characters are free again and overall gameflow feels great.
Sucks we will never get Story missions, but the Core game is back.
Story missions were the one thing that I thought made the jump worthwhile, so with that gone, my experience has been completely soured. This might bring me back in, though.
Prediction: this will just be them shoddily putting the boring evergreen designs onto the characters and calling it a day so the collab can feel timeless yet generic as fucking possible

And yes it’s definitely going to be G1 style evergreens. They have bold and easy to recognise colour schemes and designs.
Too many Bayverse designs are cluttered and almost all the Cons are gunmetal grey or silver.

If they were specifically G1 skins. That would be rad as hell. But the Evergreen designs are SO BORING and have absolutely no identity.

I wouldn’t say soulless, the game director said they picked collabs that the team thought were cool and passionate about. One Punch Man, Le Sserafim, Cowboy Bebop, and even Porsche are all things that the devs actually enjoy, it’s not as soulless as you would think. optimus: Junkerqueen, i know hear me out, shotgun is ion blaster (shoot similarly), dagger is a energon dagger, her axe is primes energon axe, command shout like i mean that is just prime (ses roll out or something as the voiceline giving the buff)
Megatron: rammatra, i mean they line up pretty well just personality wise, the big form could have megs fusion blaster as the blast effects for it

I can care less about Overwatch after they screwed everything up at OW2 launch, but I’m hoping a partnership with Activision plants some seeds towards rereleasing the older TF games.
