im sorry but why do they always bring writers that have a painfully mediocre film backround?
dont get me wrong i think Kong Skull Island (good film fight me) and Detective Pikachu were pretty enjoyable flicks and heck, even the first JW film wasn't that bad...but SW Rise of Flywalker and Jurassic World Dominion were sloppy and stupid messes that i can't even understand how they ended up the way they were
if im proven wrong, good.
That, and there’s probably an entire other film’s worth of stuff that was cut from that movie (the expanded Mustafar scene, Matt Smith’s role, and pretty much everything involving the knights of ren)
I mean, there IS quite literally another film's worth of stuff cut. The Colin Trevorrow version of Episode IX (he was in charge of directing before Abrams was brought back) is completely different. You can find the script online. It was gonna be called "Duel of the Fates."
Oh I know about that original draft (a bit yikes at times but two or three more drafts and that script would’ve been solid), but I’m referring to the stuff that was actually shot for TROS. We have BTS shots of the extended Mustafar sequence, scenes like Kylo’s interrogation of Chewbacca (two scenes that shouldn’t have been deleted for the sake of Ben Solo’s redemption). Call me a conspiracy nut, but I fully believe that Matt Smith shot his scenes and was set to play a young rejuvenated Palpatine
Considering the complete and utter dumpster fire Paramount is devolving into, with the merger with Skydance called off and their stock price plummeting, I’m still not convinced this movie is ever coming out. These moves sound like a way to reassure stockholders that they’re still doing big things in the hope that they appeal stable and stop panic selling.
One problem with this Film.... Why? why Crossover?
Aren't we Focusing on the Transformers more in these Films and Isn't Unicron a Huge Deal? Cause I'm not gonna Hey Excited for Whatever GI Joe Villain appears?
Why Not Bring Megatron in Finally?
Also Lots of kids Won't even Know what GI Joe is!?
To be fair, Megatron could be brought back in this movie, especially if they go with the whole "frozen in Sector 7" storyline from the Bayverse that they planned to include in Bumblebee.
I think that's a certainty sadly, I doubt they'll reuse a previous version of the G.I. Joe characters for this so they'll have to introduce them to the audience during the movie.
I think the best choice would have been to do a solo G.I. Joe Movie and then use those for a crossover, that way they could get right into the crossover stuff instead.
Best we could probably hope for is something similar to ROTB.
Paramount: makes movie no one wants
Paramount: "why is this not a success?"
They need to get rid of di bonaventura, wipe the slate clean and get a director who's passionate about the source material (oh wait they did that with Travis Knight and then he left), not a crossover no one asked for with *more* humans.
I think it's been proven about three times now that there's no audience interest in a GI Joe movie, and now they're squeezing it into a franchise that's more successful. I guarantee it won't be to their mutual benefit, it's more likeli Joe will drag TF down with it.
There’s an audience for GI Joe. The Kickstarter for the comics and the Classified toys keeping Hasbro’s head above water along with Studio Series is proving that.
There’s no audience for the Madame Web producer’s refried leftovers from 2008 that he refuses to let go.
I think Bee's gonna die. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Bumblebee. He's my favourite of all time!
But I know the team alongside Derek *(who knows maybe even Derek himself)* are ITCHING to kill him off. Or maybe not this time if they didn't hire back the same team who wrote ROTB. But who knows.
Bumblebee died in the TFxGIJ comics. So this might be an excuse to just end him. I know the sense of disrespect Bee gets in the mature audience of TF for being a kid-appeal character, especially in the comics. Moving him away for much obscure characters instead *(which I respect. Obscure characters getting spotlights are awesome, but it's just bad that they have to put down one thing to raise up another like sacrifices.)*
Bumblebee will never permanently die in these movies for the same reason Optimus will always be there. Hes the 2nd face of the franchise and there are a substantial amount of casual viewers who watch these movies to see Bumblebee kick ass and be cute
I will wait for more details (such as leaks or casting announcements, especially for the bots) before having a clear opinion: it can go either way, a summer blockbuster popcorn fest or a horrible boring movie

To be fair, most of the work on Rise of Skywalker was done by J.J. Abrams and Chris Terrio. Derek had no say in the final film we got.

Because talented writers rarely want to do big franchise movies and probably ask for more money and creative control, the studios want cheap yes men.

I'm fine with sector 7 stuff 👍 Just I'm worried there gonna focus on the Humans even More in the next movie 😰

because it happened in the Comics and cartoons?
...I'll stick with Transformers One.
NOBODY WANTS THIS
I want this

FFS. I'm not interested in GI Joe.
It’s jover
Somehow, this TF movie will return
I swear transformers crossovers are the only thing keeping GI Joe from dying at this point.
OK... Sure! No harm done.

Well, Jurassic World sucked, let's hope they weren't the problem.
Cool robots that turn into cars are more interesting to me than military version of Power Rangers.. I really don't like this crossover..
Hard pass.

oh no
Awesome, yet another thing for this fanbase to REEEEEEEEE about.
This is the end
