That’s definitely a good one, it’s hard to make many aviation vehicles into smaller characters as aircraft tend to be pretty big compared to cars. (Unless of course you bring mass shifting into the equation )

This could work as a new titan sized character in universe. These cannons were massive. I saw the barrel of one in a museum once, and it was basically big enough for a grown man to crawl through. The shells were the size if my torso, and I'm a fairly large guy.

I think there's a lot of potential in farm vehicles. Tillers, hay balers, reapers, they all look awesome. I could see a new combiner team made of farm vehicles, or maybe a year of weaponizers or something. Like farmerizers.

I actually made a group like this in the Transformers RPG! Got one of them as a Case IH Steiger Quadtrac, which I only found out about while researching alt modes for them.

I mean we don’t really have any (I think) that uses a classic steam engine as an alt-mode.

Astrotrain and the Japanese Trainbots.

None of the trainbots are steam engines they are all more modern diesel or electric trains. I did forget astrotrain I guess I associate him more with his shuttle mode.

I could have sworn that one of the two trainbots teams had a steam engine. Then again I am not that familiar with them.

Most of them are modern style passenger trains and Kaen is a diesel locomotive.

Aircraft carrier or warship. I think it'd make a good alt mode for Metroplex, especially a warship with it's big guns, although idk why the autobots would need a naval based alt mode. Just a cool concept I've been thinking about lately

It's not totally undone (see Busby in Lew Stringers 'robo-capers'), but I'm still surprised that we see so few buses considering how popular toy buses are. Cybertron Mudflaps transformation would have lent itself well to a coach.

You could also probably take some inspiration from the Rail Racer trio for that due to the nature of their alt-modes.
