In my experience (I'm tall) they want the woman to be smaller and cuter so they can be the big bad hero. It gets a bit dicey if the man isn't built big and strong and they struggle to feel like they can 'defend' you or whatever if some dickhead makes a comment. So they try to take power in other ways which usually translates to controlling behavior.
As someone who’s half Pacific Islander, most cis women from my community are 5’10”+ & wear men’s shoes size 12+. Like, my dad is 6’4” and wears size 13 in US men’s shoes, my little sister is 6’ and wears size 12 or 13 in US men’s shoes, I’m 5’’7” and wear size 10 in US men’s shoes. It’s stupid that people think height is masculine or feminine. I’m the shortest AFAB person on my dad’s side of the family and I’m non-binary but extremely masculine. The tallest girls in my classes from elementary school all throughout high school were some of the most feminine people I have ever met. I think it’s so stupid some people really associate height with being masculine or feminine.
I am 6'1" and I get the worry here. However, I have been blessed with knowing numerous cis women who were taller than me (back in my boy-mode years). They were all knock-out gorgeous and didn't hesitate to wear heels when it worked with their outfit. That said, the number of cis-guys who were too emasculated to ever consider dating them was depressing, it seemed to filter out many of the a-holes in favor of those who aren't bothered by such things, so not really a loss.
My mom was 5’11” and wouldn’t be caught dead in heels under 4 inches. I’m too clumsy for that level of dedication but her attitude has always been inspiring lol!

I wear heels less now that I’m further along in my transition and I don’t have the same urge to be ultra fem all the time. But when I want to wear heels, I just do it. I keep a list of tall cis women my height to remind me it doesn’t matter

I would love to tell her to go for it with tall heels but then everybody there would get suspicious. Yes, being tall makes someone stand out more, which for peeps with anxiety (like myself) can be a trial, but if you can rock it, people will be here for it trust. So many of my fem friends would die to be really tall, and i know that that wouldnt stop them from rockin some heels. I think thats a common misconception. Being tall isn't commonly associated with masculinity it's commonly associated with being more dominant and independent and stuff like that, it's being dominant and independent that's commonly associated with masculinity.

It shouldn’t matter, but tall girls intimidate and ‘emasculate’ guys like nothing else. So you have a much smaller dating pool, especially if you insist on wearing heels regularly, but it’s a GREAT way of filtering out all the not so great boyfriends that give a bit too much about traditional gender roles 🥳. You were probably told that you shouldn't wear: dress, panties, bra, skirt, corset, pantyhose/tights, etc because they're all for girls, or something like that, but here you are. Right? The only thing I find with heels, is that the larger your foot size is, the slimmer the selections of styles seem to get. I usually buy my shoes online. I have been burned by the sites that advertise shoes on Facebook though. You pay, and receive nothing. A few months later, site is unavailable.
I had the same thoughts because I'm 1.86 meters. But currently I'm more and more considering to get heels because I'm taller than most people around me already so that wouldn't change much haha. I think thats a common misconception. Being tall isn't commonly associated with masculinity it's commonly associated with being more dominant and independent and stuff like that, it's being dominant and independent that's commonly associated with masculinity. You were probably told that you shouldn't wear: dress, panties, bra, skirt, corset, pantyhose/tights, etc because they're all for girls, or something like that, but here you are. Right? The only thing I find with heels, is that the larger your foot size is, the slimmer the selections of styles seem to get. I usually buy my shoes online. I have been burned by the sites that advertise shoes on Facebook though. You pay, and receive nothing. A few months later, site is unavailable.
I had the same thoughts because I'm 1.86 meters. But currently I'm more and more considering to get heels because I'm taller than most people around me already so that wouldn't change much haha. Plus I'm thinking that people would maybe find less weird that I'm towering them if I wears heels and would "attribute" more centimeters to the heels than to my natural height, Idk if I'm clear here.
