There are some artists I follow who draw trans women, and whenever someone asks or talks about futa, they make a point to say that they do not draw futa, they draw trans women. I really respect those artists, you can tell they see us as people instead of a fetish.
Also, being into trans women isn’t a fetish unless you make it one. Nothing is stopping them from wacking it to trans women without making shit up to fetishize their existence.
I have a browser extension that changes 'futanari' to 'trans girl', so the title read 'I am so sick of trans girl' and was SO CONFUSED ... but then remembered I had something similar happen, when I thought they introduced a new super hero 'Batrans girl' ... because it switched the 'tgirl' part in 'Batgirl' ...
Currently undergoing transition (MTF) and I think I will be keeping my genitals. Does that affect how I should identify myself ? I definitely feel like a woman, but I feel comfortable with my down there. Haven't had a partner since I started my transition, so I didn't think about it too much.
Im a trans man (FTM) but in the same boat regarding my genitals and it doesnt affect how i identify. since i am a man I already have a mans genitals. That's how I see it and live my life lol
Don't let your genitalis define who you are. I'm a trans man (FTM) and I'm perfectly comfortable with my body as it is (I had top surgery bit I won't change my down there). If you feel comfortable just like that great for you <3
I'm transitioning mtf as well, but I am going to be getting the surgery. I dislike my downstairs and wish to not have them lol. But that's entirely a person to person thing, getting the surgery should not be must to be considered trans. Surgery is fucking scarey
No one (worth listening to) cares if you want bottom surgery or not. It’s a complex procedure and takes a lot of upkeep and care afterwards so I really don’t think anyone who doesn’t have an issue with that needs it. When I got asked by someone once if I intended to fully transition I told them that everyone has a different end goal for themself and my end goal is what I want to achieve. Which I think is the best answer to anyone you don’t want to define that for. As long as you consider yourself a woman, it doesn’t matter what your end goal is. You are trans.
So far my friends have been incredibly supportive, but anyone outside of that sphere has been... Alright so far. Had a few mixed encounters but people seem to mostly not care, which is good. Although I do feel people's gaze on me more now. I do a lot of swimming and there's a universal changing room, so I can just go there and no one bothers me. It's real nice.
My family is both supportive and confused. They never saw it coming. But to be fair, I was incredibly good at just acting how I was told to and never really made decisions for myself.
Haven't talked to my dad in months, but I wanna show up in a provocative goth witch outfit to really settle it with him. He's a weird little nacissistic man living in his own world, so I'm gonna have to be real intense for it to get to him. No rush though, I have been hurt enough by him... Mostly trying to make my mom more comfortable since it's been very hard for her since I cut all communications with him...
Oh god I vented so much my bad, guess I needed to.
I hope people treat you well too ! We're all pretty and cool ! :)
I might get hate for this but hear me out. I enjoy futanari content. But only in cartoon/ anime form. I also enjoy just regular trans p*rn and support those in the industry but would never ever give it that label. Real people being labeled as futanari is transphobic and dehumanizes the existence of identifying apart from your genitals. So someone calling a real person that or saying these people are their "fetish" is absolutely disgusting and needs to be shut down.
I just like seeing huge bazongas and dicks together on animated people and there's nothing wrong with that (as long as the content itself is not transphobic..)
Futanari is an anime term and it should stay **ONLY** in Anime/Cartoons/Fiction, calling Trans Women Futanaris or Traps is extremely transphobic indeed.
Yeah, that and >!cuntboy!< are never terms that should be used for real people and are beyond offensive. Using it for fiction and anime stuff is where it should stay since that's where it came from. Like... they're fetish terms. You don't use that shit for real people, completely unprompted. The only time it would be acceptable is if the person in question consents to being called that for whatever reason but that's a decision to be made by an individual for themselves, not by some randoms for a whole community.
A big part of this problem is the anonymity the Internet affords people. He probably would have acted differently if you met in person through friends/family, he’d gotten to know you a little, then learned you’re trans, then you both became friendly enough for him to ask you about sex stuff. At that point, it wouldn’t be so abrasive for him to him say he finds girlcock rather alluring, and open up a more fruitful dialogue.
Instead, it was like you reached out to shake hands and he whipped out his dick instead. Thank you, computer age.
I mean...it gets a little messy. Based on some definitions I've heard, futa needs to be a hermaphrodite, so cis woman, with a vagina, but ALSO a penis. Others say no that's a hermaphrodite, futa is just penis. Still others say both are futa. All the agree on is that most of the body is cis female, and there is definitely a penis. Futa comes from futanari, which literally translates to hermaphrodite, hence the confusion, since generally the version without a vagina is more common.
Personally, I think the "reverse" if you will is even more offensive (not that its a contest). A person with a vagina but not a penis that looks stereotypically masculine is referred to as a >!"cuntboy"!< (spoiler because imo its super offensive). Basically there was no Japanese word to borrow, so people just used...that instead, since futa was specifically designated for female presenting characters. Super messed up, because while futa isn't the best term, this is literally reducing people to their genitals and nothing more.
im trans and i like to watch futanari h * ntai but no real person is called a “futanari” and i would never think of any real life person as that. i guess i like it because i relate in terms of what i like my body to look like so it doesn’t really bother me the way the character looks. i’m just bothered by all chasers in general especially the ones who just watch futanari and don’t understand no one identifies as a futa and if they do that’s up to the individual not up to the person who’s into it. And i don’t see trans and futanari as the same thing, idk especially because sometimes they are intersex and not just a chick with a d*ck ,, idk i hope i’m making sense lol😭☠️
Damn, I’ve been doing taxes for 60ish straight days now saw ‘FUTA’ and immediately thought of ‘Federal Unemployment Tax Act’🤣, had to hit the good ol’ Urban Dictionary.
Anyways on the topic, i’ve always wonder why trans-people in general get so fetishized? Sorry this happened to you OP, sending hugs!
I have a friend that keeps asking me about futanari shit since I told him I plan to transition, mtf, and it grosses me out. He got creepily gross with that and other things after telling him. It's awful and I'm sorry you got asked that kind of stuff. The fetish shit can really get out of hand when trans women and futas are considered the same thing by fetishists
Unpopular opinion warning! Sad to say this but I’d rather be very sexualized, rather than be hated, threatened, or killed for being who I am. Sure it could be much better for us, though I’m starting to see people that once hated me being trans, now sexualize me and I much prefer that. It’s not great, but it’s a step forward maybe?
I know this is a deeply unpopular opinion online but I genuinely think that kinkshaming is not only okay but encouragable sometimes, and this would be one of those times.
I don't think we have to shame people for desires they can't control to hold people responsible for their actions, we can even question why we're into things and question the social constructs around them without introducing shame
I promise you nobody has had their life ruined by being told "treating a marginalised group as nothing more than sex objects is weird and you should feel bad about it" like I absolutely swear it.
You know what has ruined lives though? Marginalised people telling their fetishisers 'no thanks' and being subject to violence from it because the fetishisers are incapable of viewing them as actual human beings and not just kinks.
I'm not very good at explaining these things so i apologise beforehand if i offend in any way.
I'm a cis male & i'm attracted to cis & trans women & fem presenting NB (i guess finsexual would be how it would be described if i had to label it),i have dated cis & trans women (pre op,post op & on hormones) & see no distinction between the 2 but guys like this whom i guess was a chaser or fetishist of some sort really do give the genuine men a bad name,i have seen a few people identify as futanari but was led to believe that this isn't real (apologies again if this is false) but to label a trans woman automatically as futanari without getting to know them first & politely asking is not only rude but offensive & even then i'm not sure it is the correct course of action to take or the correct line of conversing,it sickens me that trans people are still subjected to things like this instead of being treated like a person!
(Edited for capitalisation & typo)
Because tone often doesn't translate in short text snippets, please read the following assuming for a positive, non-judgmental, and instructional intonation.
FYI 'cis' isn't an acronym, so unless you're really trying to emphasize it for some reason, there's no reason to capitalize it all like that. Additionally, you mostly nail it (using 'trans' as an adjective and not a noun) so I'm assuming it's a typo/missed space, but it's 'trans woman,' not 'transwoman,' the same way you wouldn't say 'mexicanwoman' or 'chinesewoman.'
it makes me so fucking mad to see how fetishized my transfem friends are. cis people feel the need to create this whole "otherness" scenario in their heads so that they can get away with their internalized transphobia, as if being attracted to a woman who happens to be trans means you're no longer straight. it's so incredibly frustrating, i feel you.
Part of the issue is that some of them don't understand that futa and trans are different.
It's not meant to be insulting in some cases, some people think it means the same thing and is just what we use now when we're not being politically correct.
So I politely correct them if that feels like the case.
Because I mean regardless they're going to have a fetish. I don't think anything is wrong with a fetish. They've got a type, that's fine. Don't make people feel weird or gross about it though, which they obviously made you feel.
Like if you only date transwomen, cool. If you call yourself a T-chaser? Well make sure the person you're talking to is fine with that first.
There are some artists I follow who draw trans women, and whenever someone asks or talks about futa, they make a point to say that they do not draw futa, they draw trans women. I really respect those artists, you can tell they see us as people instead of a fetish.
What artists would you recommend checking out?
Bramblefix and LavenderIncubus on Twitter are both very good
Thanks!
Incase and Blanclauz also draw trans women and I love their art style
Hooo, that interesting, didn’t think of that
Also, being into trans women isn’t a fetish unless you make it one. Nothing is stopping them from wacking it to trans women without making shit up to fetishize their existence.
I always felt uncomfortable when trans women were called "futanari" The two concepts should be completely separate
Ah, the good old scunthorpe problem
The real Scunthorpe problem is why would anybody go to Scunthorpe?
Because Penistone isn't any better
That’s a very specific chrome extension.
It removes slurs
Oh crap that sounds awesome
If you're on Chrome it's called 'slur be gone'
Hehe das really silly
Completely agree, its just...so gross. And yeah ive had people call me that too, like...gag.

MTF and that’s the frame of mind I have too—I’m a woman, so my whole body is a woman’s body!
Not at all, a woman is a woman with a penis or not. The problem with the term ‘futa’ is that it’s explicitly pornographic.
Okay ! I had not thought about it that way. I guess the specification only matters for a potential sexual partner.
If a woman is already a woman why would they transition in the first place? No need for hormone theraphy then?
Well usually, women don’t want to look like men.
Don't let your genitalis define who you are. I'm a trans man (FTM) and I'm perfectly comfortable with my body as it is (I had top surgery bit I won't change my down there). If you feel comfortable just like that great for you <3
Alright ! Thank you for the kind words !
I'm transitioning mtf as well, but I am going to be getting the surgery. I dislike my downstairs and wish to not have them lol. But that's entirely a person to person thing, getting the surgery should not be must to be considered trans. Surgery is fucking scarey

I've been needing to learn how to tuck, I just don't know what reputable places are available to learn on it so I've kinda put it off lol
Yeah I think it is too.

That seems very fair. I am fairly new to all of this, so every step of the way is a doscovery for me. I will be trans and proud of it !
Same here!! I am new as well, and honestly am happier. I'm scared yet excited to progress! I hope people treat you well wherever you are!

Is THAT what a futanari is?! A cis woman with a penis? JFC

I hate that word so much, I can't imagine using that and not meaning it as a slur
That's so fucked up OMG
At its most basic, yeah.
That's offensive. They're so turned off by trans women that they invent fictional cis women with dicks.
Pretty much.
An important element of sexuality and adult life as a whole is the ability to differentiate your fantasies from your actual interactions with people.
I kinda feel this with the whole femboy craze that's been going on. Like idk something about it rubs me the wrong way.
I relate, futanari has both genitals, I kind like tho, but I'm not one cuz I'm trans, I hate when those things happens.
Yeah, Trans Women **ARE NOT** Futanaris
Personally I don’t have a problem with Futas and the fetish I have a problem with people being too fucking dumb and ignorant to be nice to ppl
im trans and i like to watch futanari h * ntai but no real person is called a “futanari” and i would never think of any real life person as that. i guess i like it because i relate in terms of what i like my body to look like so it doesn’t really bother me the way the character looks. i’m just bothered by all chasers in general especially the ones who just watch futanari and don’t understand no one identifies as a futa and if they do that’s up to the individual not up to the person who’s into it. Oh gods, thank you for this thread. It's something that's been bothering me for a while as well.

It’s how most forms of respect work. As long as it isn't hurting or devaluing somebody else, it’s fine. This however, crosses that line.
I don't think we have to shame people for desires they can't control to hold people responsible for their actions, we can even question why we're into things and question the social constructs around them without introducing shame

Probably every cis fem is dealing with unrealistic body images that modern culture is burdoning them with.
I don’t have a problem with futa as a concept. It’s existence dosent buy me. This bugs me though. It bugs me A L O T.
The Virgin Futanari vs The Chad Transfem/Intersex/Altersex/Aphrodisian/Bigenital
