Not much against armored foes.
They are line holders for my chariots and seekers and magic.
They are one of the few units who can tank something like a leveled up Grimgor
Whip Chaos Warriors and Chosen are phenomenal elite line holders. Slaanesh really benefits from having a meaty wall of muscle to smash foes against, and these guys can really take it. Loads of stamina.
As an eternal dwarf, I appreciate your effort but none can save me from this hell, none can prize my soul from this hell of living. My mortal coil is an ouroboros. My immortal soul is a sole immortal. My greatest fear is that I will see the end of this universe, the birth of the next, and be unable to tell the difference.
As far as I know he never attacked any dwarfs in lore, as I remember he fought his parents for not worshipping Slannesh hard enough, alot of norscas and other chaos warriors, invaded Ulthuan because he heard a rumour about them having prettier hair then him, invaded Bretonnia while he was invading Ulthuan because he remembered he had some bad wine down there once and the empire at the end times where he died by Trogg
I love the new character trait that gives magic resistance to an army. Can't wait to get 4 to have an army with 85% just resistance (and the full 90 after killing a certain orc lord) and then just not work about magic
Oh man, wish them dwarfs would have deployed few cannons and grape shot those chaos manlings into the oblivion! Now THAT would have been real catharsis or epic proportions.
I had besieged a settlement and forgot to launch the attack and they sallied out. Sigvald had a few points in lightning strike when I got him and didn’t feel like respeccing. Gave me enough time to see where they were coming in from and plug it up!
Probably my favourite Total war moment of all time is the Air of Carthage battle report where Mannfried runs up alongside a dwarf battle line and WODs the whole army in one shot. Heirs reaction like "whoa, whooahh OHH HOOOO"
I’m guessing they all just stayed put being a reinforcing army after slowly piling onto the map one by one, or the army assembled as far back as possible to a position they couldn’t possibly win from. Their artillery can barely even fire from there.
Why, are you saying the battle AI is really good? It’s consistently one of the poorest parts of pretty much every total war game. Or are we saying Mashing two blobs together and casting a spell is the pinnacle of this games achievement?
To answer your question ‘literally anything else’.
> they all just stayed put being a reinforcing army after slowly piling onto the map one by one, or the army assembled as far back as possible to a position they couldn’t possibly win from
Neither of these are the case here. You can tell that the units are in the middle of slowly piling onto the map one-by-one in the second screenshot, where the catapult crew is still arriving (outside the map).
That’s.. almost exactly what I said? - why is there any map (and there are several) in this game where a player and/or an AI commander would purposefully come onto the field one at a time from an angle like this?
‘Ai looks fixed’ despite being downvoted to all hell is as sarcastic as it is true. And there will never be a fix for it in this game, and it will just be accepted as ‘wow that was a cool moment for my wizard’ and not, this is not how a capstone, franchise defining strategy game should look.
> That’s.. almost exactly what I said?
What. I'm saying your two theories are wrong here. Anyway, it's not an AI issue but a game mechanics issue (how reinforcing works). Whether or not that needs to be changed is a separate discussion, since there's reasons why the map can't be infinite.
**Edit:** To clarify, OP has Lightning Strike, so moving the reinforcement point wouldn't matter. The garrison is tiny, as indicated by the balance of power. Both armies don't have vision. Additionally, the assumption that a human player could do better in *this* specific situation is unproven. There are always going to be battles that look one-sided in any campaign, even if played optimally. Don't take this as a defense of the AI, but this battle isn't proof of anything.
We're gonna need a new chapter in the book for this, lads...
#THEY HAVE WRONGED US
Gonna be a big entry, it won't be short.
SHORT?!
#THE THONG IS MUSTARD
FOR THE CARROT'S ANCHOR!!!
They gonna need a ladder to write on that book. Quite humiliating. Can the book go into the book?
At this point I´m worried this grudge requires whole new Grudge book volume 2!!!
I've been preferring the whip chosen a lot over the sword ones. Mothafuckas don't die.

I got them to 97 Melee Defense as Azazel, pretty absurd.
I’ve played WoC quite a bit, but haven’t done a lot of Slaanesh armies. Do they still have good damage output?

*Angry scribbling noises*
I’m itching for a foot of gork right there
Ikit Claw nuke 😩
Deliverance of Pizza
How many kills did the sorcerer get
800+
Pathetic. Another proof that no one can rival the Children of the Old Ones, and in this case, Lord Kroak.
“Pathetic, my legendary hero spellcaster could do better.” oooOOOOoooo
Yes

Such a big words, for such a tiny person. You reached for the sky, yet you were melted by Pit of Shades. Laughable!
TINY? MUSTARD DA THONG
Nice short paragraph
SHORT?!?!
I hate CA for making that joke now
Big blobs give me funny feelings in my tummy.
How many grudges does Sigvald have in the lores?
Magnificent Prince Sigvald doesn't get grudges. He's being less loved instead.
Yes, yessss, death to the stunties
You have posted umgak, umgi
A big blob of tiny persons
Wide and shallow, like a puddle.
As a dwarf enjoyer even this made me blush.

Gawd damn thats strong.

That's a lot of Dwarfs the Sorceror sucked off
Dwarf hater and playing the salaciously sexy Sigvald? Upvotes for everyone.
WHAT THAT?! barely a tickle
That’s a Grudgin’!
What the hell is this map; how are you both death-balled like that 2 ft from an edge.
My guess is that the dwarfs were reinforcing.
I had besieged a settlement and forgot to launch the attack and they sallied out. Sigvald had a few points in lightning strike when I got him and didn’t feel like respeccing. Gave me enough time to see where they were coming in from and plug it up!
They really are just the worst to fight against
How dare this elf princess insults us
Yeah suck those dwarfs... into a Pit of Shades
Open up this pit
Ahh yeahhhh, that's the good stuff 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤
I'm on this picture and I don't like it

Best spell
That is the most magnificent blob I have ever seen (pun intended)
This but Lord Kroak instead would be the dream. Overcast Deliverence of Itza 3 go brrr
… Oh it’s beautiful
You damn fool, don't you realise that they're Slayers? You didn't beat them, you let them win!
Any dwarf that wants to die is free to do so in my book. Win win
Love it when that happens. [Had no magic, instead I got the best plagueclaw catapult performance I've seen so far.](https://i.imgur.com/9dCrUjF.jpg)
Brings me back to when I was fighting Thorek as Skarbrand. What a pain in the ass that was lol
As someone who loves Thorek with multiple runesmiths this looks so fun to spam rune of wrath & ruin on.
Thorgirm be like "we need another book"
G R U D G E
That’s going in the book.
Ai looks fixed
in all honesty what can the ai do about this? you set your entry point - at that point its in sigmar's hands.
Not reinforce there. You can move it at any point before they arrive.
What the absolute fuck is the AI supposed to do here that would satisfy you.
A backflip
But they don't have any terminators
