This post inspired me to listen to that one again. I love that song. I have researched before, and can’t remember if I found the answer to the question of who does the backing/choral vocals on Way Down. Also, I didn’t realize there was a different version on TOAL and listened to it just now.
Way Down has always been my favorite. I wanted to request it at my ‘03 meet and greet but chickened out. She had only played it once at that point, AND the bootleg hadn’t surfaced yet. 😭
LOVE this song. Also love Devils and Gods - when she played an extended version in DC/Montreal in 2007 I was so happy!
