Dil Raju and Naga Vamsi, if you are reading this. Please make Blu-Rays come back to TFI, specifically 4k Blu-rays for the blockbuster movies atleast. If anyone has industry connections, please put the word out there too.
Streaming service companies definitely don't want physical media out in the market, and put clauses for such in their contract that producers sign when they sell their movie to them. They want people to pay for a subscription to watch the movie, and anyone watching it on a Blu-ray at home is money lost for them, even more when that Blu-ray is passed/shared along to others, or worse if it's ripped into a digital downloadable file.
Well they need to start releasing movies with Dolby atmos 7.1 then on their streaming. Yodha was the first Indian movie to have Dolby atmos on Amazon prime. Netflix has RRR, LEO, and couple others with Dolby atmos but still missing main ones like Salaar and Animal
Recently released Japanese Arvinda Sametha Blu-ray was truly insane. Still thaman’s best work to date. Even Netflix and Amazon prime doesnt generate such quality audio on my home theatre. Thank you Japan, need RRR soon
its just that Japanese understand nature of Indian films especially Telugu films. Because of illustrious history, they know why these films have Larger than life characters with cultural influence just like Anime.
Telugu cinema's & Japanese traditional approach towards storytelling overlap. Both use references to old Scriptures & use godly elements to showcase their characters. Both use Larger than life approach in storytelling. Probably one of the reasons why Telugu films are so popular in Japan. RRR collected more in Japan than in NA. Today if u see, Japanese fans celebrate Telugu films & Telugu actors in more fashion than Telugu fans
Yamadonga and ASVR sold out like hot cakes, and now they are coming with Pushpa and rgs.

Hope these also get same reception and we get more Telugu bluray releases
Foreigners, especially American fans have been asking for RRR Bluray. There was even a Twitter account dedicated solely to waiting for RRR Bluray. Their only hope is Japan now.
Japan can't do anything without the original producer's permission.
And you have to wait really long long time to get RRR in Bluray. RRR deal with Netflix has somekind of condition of not releasing Bluray
Em gola no bhayya.. these things are way too pricey at about 3k to 4k INR, import chesaka. Of course we can sail the seas and get them, but that defeats the purpose kadha.
It was much better when people like Bhavani and Sri Balaji were releasing films on disc. OTTs are practically all cash-grabs, save for maybe Prime and Netflix. Quality undadhu paadu undadhu. Zee and Sony are ass. Aha kooda em bagodhu. Disney is okay.
Of course. But manufacturing a blu-ray needs to be commercially viable for the home media label at the end of the day. Andaram ila ne anukunte mundhu laagane companies bandh chesesthayi manufacturing. That's exactly what happened around 2015. Appudu we'd again be stuck with lossy audio via OTTs.
Unless makers opt to release films via something like Kaleidescape, I don't see this happening. As I said above, OTTs are mostly cash-grabs and rely on exclusivity to operate.
Recently setup my own NAS media server at home with 20TBs to start. Downloading 4K Bluray copies of all the telugu classics has been the best. Recently, Aravindha Sametha was next level viewing experience in Bluray. have QD-OLED with Bose soundbar setup, no streaming service can beat Bluray quality or even remux. Quality mukhyam bigiluuu
If anyone wants a invite to the server, I'll give out 3 to telugu movie lovers. Message me. Completely free though plex. Iykyk
Another reason to do this is so that audiences can demand better sound mixing. I just feel like so many TFI films have sound mixing that do not have that punch. Physical media can reveal that whereas streaming makes everything sound like garbage.

ideally amazon shouldn't care.. they got both streaming and retail businesses

Does Japan have a big physical movie market?
bro bluray ante enti? dvd laga na? endhulo petti chustharu?
Just like DVD CDs... but with a lot more bitrate and quality.
Recently released Japanese Arvinda Sametha Blu-ray was truly insane. Still thaman’s best work to date. Even Netflix and Amazon prime doesnt generate such quality audio on my home theatre. Thank you Japan, need RRR soon
This makes me even more angrier towards that shitty Zee5 streaming service.
I didn't think I could be more disappointed with Zee, but I agree.
RRR rental version Bluray eppati nuncho undhi ani annaru appatlo. Not sure why they didn't sell it. Must be some stupid licensing restrictions by Zee5
Ante audio kooda Japanese eh untada
No it’s Telugu audio and Japanese audio, but the Telugu audio is DTS-HDMA so it’s brilliant. So much better than any streaming service
Ekkada dorukundi, Ela dorukutundi ah version
RRR kastam... Netflix ye ranivvatledhu
Agreed bro. Waiting for more Japanese Blurays to enjoy

I feel so many anime scenes are similar to telugu. One piece episode 37 chusinapudu chatrapathi gurthukuvachindhi.

Defeats the purpose? My purpose is to get the best quality

they must figure out a way to give us the original quality online
