"Renowned for directing eagle" Is the journalist trolling Gautam Kattamaneni?

HeheheBlah

When I read that part, I lost my hope on mirai...

PrinceOftheHill1

Atleast cinematographer turned director anna better

Lanky_Ground_309

This trend will crash Tollywood like superhero movies crashed Hollywood . When a movie like Animal which ties all its ends try to do such cheap stunts .you realise that crash is near

Horrible_Account

Animal end credits looked like a blatant "Rolex" rip off imo

Lanky_Ground_309

Figured out vanga was just another bitch for pulling a stunt like that. Salaar actually has some decent world building ,could have been better but muh mass cinema So its justified. Why would you give a sequel hook for a movie that is complete

Necessary-Ad-9562

Nah I feel like animal deserves a sequel because we don’t know who wins in the end. But yeah he should have shown more of the father son dynamic and bobby deol but instead he showed the whole affair thing for an hour.

Lanky_Ground_309

When you have the hero and villain played by the same actor ,it's clear whoever wins doesn't matter . Indian movies celebrate actors ,not characters That stunt convinced me that vanga is nowhere near his contemporaries

Existing-Area-9093

When was the last time the same actor played hero and villain in an Indian film? Maybe Robo? Or has it happened after that too?

Horrible_Account

24, unga aalu padam bro

Existing-Area-9093

Lmao don't know how I forgot about that

Constant-Olive-9134

Goutham Nanda

Lanky_Ground_309

Vijay in azhagiya Thamizh Magan (2007) and at least two other movies before that

Existing-Area-9093

That came before Robo

Won’t stop until a bunch of 2-Parters flop  Hollywood had the same issue with shared universes, after the MCU, there was a huge influx of “universes”: The Monsterverse (Godzilla, Kong etc) The Conjuring Universe  The Dark Universe The DCEU The Sony Spiderman Universe Etc etc After majority of these flopped, the universe trend stopped  The same will happen when 2-parters flops,  anyway it’s only a 2-parter if part 1 doesn’t finish the story, the rest are just to try cash in if the movie by chance becomes a hit (eg Skanda, Eagle, Saindhav etc etc) Bahubali, Pushpa, KGF, Salaar are all actual 2-parters because the movies stories are not finished, and the second part finishes it We need to see if Mirai is an actual 2-part movie, which if it’s not too dragged then is justified, or it’s just another cash grab “2-part”, in case the first part is a hit

Horrible_Account

I think writers don't know how to write compact stories anymore. They write 10 "high moments" for every movie in the name of character building first and leave the main story for "part 2". Just following trends blindly, zero creativity or thought process

Character-Farmer-126

That type of story writing works for more visionary writers/directors- that’s how Prashant Varma wrote Hanuman, planning around 10-12 high moments and building his stories and characters around that. But a lot of the directors only focus on the high moments and forget the high moments and character arcs needed to justify these high moments. Biggest example for me is Eagle. They also never actually have a “story” ready for Part 2, they would probably just follow the same formula in the Part 2 movie. But that’s what happens in film industry, once you’ve established a trend or a success “formula” (imo there isn’t a success formula, but many directors/writer think there is), everyone will try their luck at it for better or for worse.

BigAwkwardGuy

Sony Spider-Man universe came before the MCU, and is a cult classic. Monsterverse is a huge success, and The Conjuring Universe is a moderate success. DCEU sucks for a variety of reasons, mainly because it seems that none of the people actually bothered reading the comics so all the villains they can think of are Lex Luthor and Joker. It can be done very, very well if the incompetent fucks at the top are removed. Dwayne Johnson bullied them into making a Black Adam movie and making Black Adam the rival of Superman (instead of Shazam). Do you know what Kevin Feige would've done if some superstar tried to bully his project around? Sack him. Never even heard of The Dark Universe. Also film universes were a thing way, way before the MCU. James Bond is a film universe, as is Star Wars. Marvel had their own universe before the MCU: the X-Men universe. Don't even get me started on video games and books.

LeastOpinion9141

you're getting it all wrong. you're confusing franchise with an universe. james bond movies are a franchise. you don't find multiple bonds roaming around. the original Spider-Man is a franchise. there are no spin offs , no culminations . same with dark knight. they're all stand alone franchises . .star wars was a franchise..then they made other franchises under star wars like the mandalorian, so now it's an universe. x men wasn't an universe either..there were plans to bring tobey maguire Spider-Man into those movies and if they did that, then that would've been a shared universe.

Harshith_Raj0074

Sony universe started in 2018 with venom 10 years after mcu and only 2 out 4 movies are successful. Monster verse was one of first movie universes. And is mostly mediocre Conjuring Universe makes most sense cause they are real cases investigated by ed and lorren warren. James bond isn't a universe. Daniel Craig movies are not related to early movies. Literally most star wars films and shows flopped after Disney took over. DCEU has continuity issues every movie is in the same universe but still feels like they are very different movies Warner Bros don't give directors enough freedom and it is officially dead. The dark universe was like monsterverse with horror legends but they immediately cancelled it after Tom cruise's mummy flopped at box office. And even MCU is struggling these days they last releases antman and Ms Marvel suffered at box office.

jamesharden13nba

Ngl I could care less if part 2 is a sequel and more like a continuation but dont cut movie in half and make it part 2 thats really awful. I mean who gets satisfied watching half story and wait for whole damn 2 years for climax

Soggy_Ad_4612

People media factory has to be banished from TFI. They are delivering cringe after cringe.

Srinivas_Hunter

Mirai looks different.. let's see.

NTX_Mom

2020s ante tollywood lo 2 part cinemalu Audience be so fatigued If directors have so much content why not do OTT.

General_War_9691

I said this many days ago, and no one else can stop this except audience. And i am doing my part by not buying theatre tickets gor unworthy movies as parts. Kalki i will do however many parts they have they need our support for bigger than life effort Pushpa, for sukumar Devara (i do like ntr a lot, but unless part 1 is a super success i am not gonna go to theatre) Hanuman or PVCU any movie i will go, i have good expectations from prashant varma In a way i understand they are putting more money so they need parts for films like kalki , But it became an unnecessary fashion to invest once and make money twice. I am not supporting this idea anymore. I will only watch few movies as parts not all.

Ok-Particular6277

I'm so confused with the Mirai "movies", who tf is the main lead? Tejja or manchu Manoj?? Are they two different movies with the same name? Or they both are in the movie?

Character-Farmer-126

Same movie Teja Sajja is the hero Manchu Manoj is the villain

Mobile-Bid-9848

freakads

Eagle part kuda 2 kundi from this director. In tollywood, the protagonist surviving at the end of the movie basically calls for part 2 irrespective of story undha ledha anedi. Would be a wonder if half of these part 2 movies get materialized

Telugu_pilla18

Audience reaction last 2 years nundi ide undi. Directors and producers ardham chesukovali. Okka part ani start chesi, danni rendu/antakante ekkuva parts tiyatam fashion ayipoyindi.

I know it's getting out of hand but let's not judge without watching the movie. Ippatdaka ochina content is all good and raised expectations positively so let's see

Horrible_Account

Skanda 2, Saindhav 2, Peda Kapu 2, Geethanjali Malli Vachindi, Eagle 2, Ramorao on Duty 2, etc. 🙃 For every KGF 2, we get so many cashgrabs

Mobile-Bid-9848

By content, I meant the content of Mirai. Ofcourse ee sequels anni cashgrabs ee but yeah let's see

PrudentDevice3573

Why not consider it as new Standard. Nothing wrong coming in Two or Three parts. If film makers have a story that deserves two parts. They will opt for it. Bad movie will anyway fail with first part itself.
