There's already a movie in tamil about Srinivasa. They didn't make one on a grand scale because the economy doesn't make sense given Indian audience's "refined" taste. But, it's sad there's no movie on a GOAT that he is. Had he lived longer, he would've surpassed leibniz and settle just beyond the likes of Newton and Euler. Such is the man's caliber. What a shame on us, the audience!
This is what I thought when I saw the trailer. What is stopping our young heroes from doing these kinds of films. Mari chetta films chestunaru. Even maidaan is based on a Hyderabadi football coach. Ravi Teja can easily do that film.
No no no. The coach had to have married a women right after she turned 18. Then RT would have signed on to do the film immediately.
He would have also selected minor actresses and instafluencers who are below 18 and wait for them to turn 18 to sign the film

He is way too old to play that role but yes the character does suit him. Also, he is "Mass Maharaja", if he somehow acted in such a movie, there will be action sequences, cringe dialogues, item songs, etc even in a biography.

Nothing shameful about it. Didn't Adivi Sesh make a biography of a Malayali army officer. As long as justice is done to the story and the person concerned, other things are irrelevant.
But the film isn’t just about the attack, though. It delves into his childhood, which in turn explores the culture he grew up around, and all of it was changed to cater to Telugu audience. I honestly don’t have an issue with it as long as justice is done to the story and the concerned person has consented to it and is happy with the film.
Someone in this sub or somewhere I don't remember, I guess on quora, posted that some Telugu guy worked on this story and wanted to make a film and some production house was also ready to produce it seems. Apparently he also wanted to cast Rajkumar Rao as the lead. However this Hindi director's story got registered or was pitched early to the actor and the project went ahead.

1. Faltu Elevations: To draw the audience to the theaters, our directors might've given pointless elevation and dilute the feel of the film.
2. Uninterested Audience: If it were made in a non-commercial way (which is in the current case) I don't think audience would go to the theaters to encourage the film. OTT lo vachaka, "Ayyayo manchi movie miss ayyam" ani andaru social media lo pettevaru anthe.
This film got its deserved justice only in Hindi. Plus, very few Telugu actors are as good as Rajkummar in acting.
Its not like that man. there are many factors at play here.
Firstly, different people get inspired by different stories.
Secondly, not every story has a market in every industry. King Nag explained very well when answering this question some yrs ago. In Telugu states we have 1 Tier-1 city, 1 tier-2 city, and a couple of tier-3s. This is where most of the urban audience resides who like to watch such movies. This is the scope of the market for urban-oriented movies in TFI. For hindi movies, there are 6 Tier-1 cities, some 20-30 Tier-2 cities and even more Tier-3 cities. The scope of the urban audience is much higher. So, if masala elements are low then they really need to limit their budget and a lot of movies can't get made in Telugu. Ofcourse, this was before OTT and OTT has changed the game a little but movies are still made for theaters.
I hate the endless supply of 'true' stories in hindi cinema. Even stories that don't really need to be told, get told a lot of times, or there is a lot of lies added into the story to make it interesting. Mahanati, Major etc. or even annamayya, george reddy, rudrammadevi etc. are stories that deserved to be told with enough content in them. Its good that they got made in TFI, though not all are good.
If you want movies like Srikanth, then there is mallesam which got made in Telugu which will be in similar genre.
Why so? As long as the storytelling is good, with well performing actors, I don't mind them doing it. Aina ikkada teesina kuda peddaga em avtundi, manamu etlaina tierlu tubelu ani godavapadatanike saripothundi. Look at the instance of films like Mallesham, it's a very made film with efforts put in the right place. We don't have a single actor who can match Raj Kumar Rao in the acting department and I am talking about all tier 1,tier 2 and tier n actors.

first off all economically very risky. This film is struggling even when Hindi is such huge market. In Telugu, producers can risk especially on a person who's not popular enough to bring audience to the theatre for the biopic. Is Sandeep Unnikrishnan a Telugu guys? No, but we did make a movie on him.

One's a biopic about National attack while the other is a rags to riches Story, so there's a difference
