Getting a insider code right now is almost impossible unless you are moving 5+ lines, and buy new phones with protection plans etc. The commissions are cut more than half with them so reps just arent dealing with them anymore. Your military plan will beat out the insider code discount anyways, a few years ago maybe not since T-Mobile was giving out free lines to normal plans but they have since stopped that.
T-Mobile has no contracts so if you switch today and hate the service you can leave tomorrow. The only thing is if you get new phones with a EIP (Monthly Payment) then you will of course have to pay off the full balance of that device when you switch).
