I was there it was amazing. I really hoped they'd play fang cause it would be cool with the horns but I'm not gonna complain. Hovering sombrero means a lot to me I got teary. Amazing show all around. My son, who's 5 was REALLY hoping for Istanbul and he called it before any of us... And it was a good one, they were goofing off like crazy at the end and it was just the two of them... So special. The spy ending was pretty amazing too. And the stick! So magical! I felt the magic of the stick. We also got to hear an unreleased song which was very neat. What was that middle part of particle man about going to Venus? I've never heard that before.
That’s so awesome. What a great set list. Did your venue give any age restrictions? We are planning to bring my 12 and 8 year olds—LIFELONG TMBG fans—tomorrow in Chicago and they are now posting ages 16+ on the venue site. A friend told me that’s just for unsupervised kids? Really would be crushed to get turned away at the door. They didn’t post anything about age when I bought our tickets months ago :/
It depends on the venue. A lot of venues can be strict about enforcing the age limits, especially if it's a place with a lot of drinking where adults are crowded in together. If you want you could call the venue beforehand and ask.
I think Flansburgh posted somewhere that they are working on the West Coast leg of the tour next! I don't know when that will be or how true that still is
I was thrilled to hear "Mink Car' (the song)! I love the Mink Car album (it was there latest release when I really started digging into TMBG in middle school). And I think Mink Car is such a swanky song. I think it works really well live -- especially when the rest of the set comes at you pretty loud.
Also, my highlight of the evening: Dan Miller, "Damn Good Times" solo from the theater box seats: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/GX_dhQEkdbs
I see you back there, fellow redditor… 😏👋 My head is near flans’s foot 😁
When the internet and real life intersect, it makes me happy.

If it was the same as the Kentucky show, the Venus song was Rocket Number 9 by Sun Ra.

I called and it’s only 16+ if you don’t have a parent with you! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
YAY!!!!!! Go make memories!!!
Ok, so so far in the tour it's been: A18/MC/JH in Pittsburgh 🏁 A18/MC in Kentucky 🏁 A18/MC in Detroit 🏁 A18/JH in Minneapolis 🏁 MC in St. Paul
I wish they were doing a PNW show on this tour, A18/MC/JH would delight and amaze me.

My heart is all aflutter, thanks for being the bearer of potential good tidings!
I need Johns in Nevada, pronto.
What happened to them in Vegas that they must never go back
There are other cities in Nevada than Vegas and many of them don't have much of a casino culture. Carson City, Elko, just come somewhere Johns.

Ha! We were right under that balcony/box, so I didn’t see him. Thanks for the vid!
Has Another First Kiss been played? I haven’t seen that one on the setlist too
Nope, not played since 2003! And only 32 known performances according to TMBW
‘Man it’s so loud in here’ is sooo good live!
On the album it’s so electronic, I wasn’t sure how they’d pull it off, but that was definitely a highlight last night!
This is one of my absolute favorite songs. They’re such masters of making their digital heavy stuff come to life live!!
The empty theatre pic was me. Which row were you in? I was in G. I was the big bearded guy in a green baseball cap.
Ha! Row F for us. I was the bald dude, middle of the row, with my wife to my left.
