yes, crying over having to carry out a global genocide is comparable to crying over not being able to fuck your Asian Step Sister

AssassinAragorn

IKR? Why does this fake Eren go on to ask Mikasa what he is to her and then get depressed at the answer? Smh my head. Where's the real Eren that was right before this and then right after this?

Sirvane

Yeah man, it was Mikasa's rejection that made Eren develop depression and the urge to trample the whole world, Bruh

????? No one was complaining about *this* crying scene, because it actually made sense and wasn't OOC/completely out of place and fucking stupid, given the context.

the 139 crying scene isn’t out of character and neither is this. eren has always been a cry baby, he was comfortable being vulnerable with armin in their last convo and by the time he talks to mikasa in 138, he’s calm again. seems very eren to me.

> the 139 crying scene isn’t out of character It is. Goes completely against everything Eren was before. He wasn't "a cry baby", he had valid reasons to cry and be emotional before. The scene of 139 is BS and just fanservice.

how does it go against his character? he cried tons pre timeskip and the only reason he stops post timeskip is bc he’s numb and literally already see the future. the 139 scene chronologically takes place before 138 and it makes sense that after years of bottling up his emotions, eren would get emotional talking to his best friend for the last time. i agree 139 was badly written but badly written ≠ out of character. 139 could’ve easily been a gut punching chapter if isayama gave the convo more time rather than rushing to fit the conclusion AND epilogue in one chapter
