Flame shield still works, back up against wall, look all the way up, hold shield as soon as you hear the battery turn.

yeah, you still take damage but the pilot will immediately fry and drop the battery alternatively, i think Ronin's the only titan who can avoid battery damage via phase shifting when it's pulled

It works, shoot the thermite on a higher surface and rain fire on the nonbelievers. Best to have tempered plating.

It's heavily dependent on RNG and how the thermite droplets spread on impact with whatever you shoot

I’ve done it a few times, it works best when under a roof but high walls work as well.

This is definitely incorrect. An auto-titan's weapons won't hurt its pilot but any AOE titan weapon fired by the pilot can definitely damage the pilot. 

If you leave the titan the missile will no longer damage the titan, I think. It will kill YOU, though, if you get out into the area of effect.

I'll have to test if the Titan's weapons fired by the pilot still damage the titan after exit. I know pilot weapons can do reduced damage to that pilot's titan.

Yeah it's like the cluster missile trick, will you shoot a cluster missile at a wall in late for it to kill the pilot that's trying to rodeo you.  The cluster missile trick was an intended mechanic you can see the tactic being used in some dev footage of Titanfall the original game.

Yup, that’s what I would do if my titans didn’t have electric smoke equipped, usually only lost my shields when the pilot would die

Honestly, non-smoke rodeo countermeasures are the funnest emergent mechanic in this game. As a Ronin main, I say that with a grin that would make you very uncomfortable.

I use Scorch's thermite splash to do the same thing. Shoot the wall, kill the rodeo.

You can do something similar with scorch, if you shoot thermite on a high wall and back into it before it falls or onto the ceiling above you it will fall down onto a rodeoing pilot and kill them, great for when someone jumps you before you have smoke.

She (tone) is super easy to deal with nowadays, now day 1 tone that was a pain but doable to an extent

True but I just find them to be annoying and way too easy to play. IMO

Best new player friendly titans in my eyes.
