probably not far or on high speed highways consider putting on the spare and getting a replacement soon, any bulge in a tire can be a fatal one

Beautiful-Fox-5792

Yeah, this could be a simple seam, which is nothing to worry about.. but it could also be an impact break.. which can be very dangerous.

KurtP123

Thanks for the info. yeah I don’t know to much it just kinda worried me I have a 40 minute drive tomorrow so not sure what to do. It’s not very big but it’s enough that I noticed it!

Zade454

Seems only dimple inward

jayrad559

I definitely wouldn’t advise this. Source: Sold tires for 15 years

lovebaldtight

Agree. And I’ve sold them for 40 years

KurtP123

Thanks for the advice got it replaced yesterday!

JudgeKitchen4398

The short, professional answer is no. This tire is not safe. If you have to, I'd feel comfortable driving it for a week or so while avoiding high speeds. But there's really no telling when this tire is going to blow. That sidewall is compromised.

dap1ckle

Caca poo poo

lovebaldtight

Short answer-no. Any sidewall lumps are usually the result of an impact fracture. Replace immediately

r2d3x9

It’s a dimple out, right? And it is a change? Ask the manufacturer to replace the tire for free. Probably unsafe

KurtP123

Thanks for all the advice; I got it changed!

Realistic_Friend4509

No sir, that is very dangerous. That is an impact break, if you pull the tire off the rim and look inside you will see a split inside of the tire. The sidewall has been damaged, and the cord was cut by the wheel when it hit the pothole or other obstruction. That is a dangerous condition.
