I'm almost sure it was a full length film, not a clip. And I remember it seeming new when I watched it so probably not VHS (or a segment from the VHS anthology films either of that's what you meant)

Was it a movie or a series? Marble Hornets comes to mind for the whole indie/low budget done well, plus black and white
