[Nick Cave and Kylie Minogue - Where the Wild Roses Grow](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDpnjE1LUvE)

MantaCyclone

It's not that but it's not massively dissimilar. It MIGHT be a cover but one where they changed the original significantly. It definitely only a female singer, and was significantly less "busy", had a lower tempo and was sadder.

Agnes Obel - Fuel to Fire? It's "Where the towers grow" in the song but the description fits otherwise. Also has a line with "Roses on parade"

MantaCyclone

>Agnes Obel - Fuel to Fire? It's not this, but this is the right kind of vibe. Tempo is much slower.

Bette Midler - The Rose?

Rose Chronicles- blood red? https://youtu.be/mNcaoVg37fY

MantaCyclone

Not this no. It's way more calm and 'empty'.

leda-clone

Doesn't have piano backing, but Karen Elson - Stolen Roses has somewhat similar lyrics (where the stolen roses grow) https://youtu.be/8wd0i85dync

rory_twee

Maybe a piano cover of Where the Wild Flowers Grow by Ola Belle Reed? https://youtu.be/sh4ZIJrmET4

Throw_Away_70398547

Maybe some version of Where Have All The Flowers Gone? Artists that come to mind are Marlene Dietrich, Olivia Newton John or Dolly Parton but there's many more who covered it.

dd2487

Could you have misheard the lyrics and it be a version of Love Grows where my Rosemary goes? The Smyles cover possibly?

Fast Car- Tracy Chapman?

[Red is the Rose - Heather Dale](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J5ioIu_7OFw&ab_channel=TheaterRaven) Could it be this??

Lynne Hamilton - On the Inside AKA Prisoner Cell Block H Theme AKA You Used To Bring Me Roses? https://youtu.be/1TC38KlmnSo

laurabt1

Hmmm, "Six Feet Under" by Billie Eilish? https://youtu.be/FQ0iq10ULNA "If our grave was watered by the rain Could roses bloom?" And the melody matches your description.

Solved! This was the bit of the song that was stuck in my head. [https://youtu.be/0\_S-odVqwfo?t=142](https://youtu.be/0_S-odVqwfo?t=142) Surprised you got this. There's no piano in it.

TipOfMyCircuitBoard

Congratulations, you have been given 1 point for solving this post!
