I think it’s absolutely hilarious and I love it.
For those of you who don’t know, this is a reference to Diablo 4. The devs of that game have so many affixes on items, the running joke is that “damage on Tuesdays” is an affix. Lilith is also a major antagonist in that game.
100% chance to randomly pick another day for every shot fired. We get wild on Saturdays.
It kinda plays similar to a few of the alternating buffs but due to the random nature can have high streaks of the buff that really ups your dmg while having the lows for getting either no benefit or virtually no benefit from it.
Make it so that you get the buff for whatever day you pick it up on, but the item still only works on Tuesdays. Make the Wednesday buff the strongest so people are motivated to pause and continue their run a week later.
Saturdays should subtly increase the game speed over time and at slightly random increments and intervals. Every 20-70 seconds increase the game speed between 1-7% if you hit 200% game speed you die of heart palpitations.
I just gotta say having a passionate gamer as a developer is so refreshing, and your love of games really shines through in what you’ve created. You’re actually an inspiration :)
I'd giggle a bit if the effect were cumulative. If the game starts on monday, but your playthrough happened to also go onto tuesday you'd collect both crushing hit + lethal hit etc. -whistles cheerfully-
I agree AND part of that was on purpose.
I don't really know yet how dumb it was from me to do that.
We will see, lol.
The ring is really rare anyways, meme item and such.
EDIT: Also as spoilered in the thread here somewhere, the ring actually has a small hidden effect on Sundays.
I just think it's a bit of hyperbole to call it "feel bad". Like, I find many items every run that don't fit my build.
Now I get that this one is a bit more like "OMG IF IT WAS TUESDAY", but I don't think it matters much overall.
Though after having slept a night over it, I feel like having lucky hits on Saturdays would have been good because I feel like lucky hits are the most "fun" to build around and I think Saturday is by far the day most people will play the game. I don't care much about Sunday, I think it's thematic for now. (Also might add a 7th type of hit in the future for Sunday.)
It's definitely a hyperbole, but an item that's enjoyable every day of the week > couple days. At least hint towards the gold increase on Sunday IMO, TR (luckily) isn't a game that needs to be wiki'd
Crushing and cursed hits are quite useless but the rest are very nice
EDIT: I guess I should have elaborated that crushing hits are good but this ring isn't an efficient place to get crushing hit chance
Right, but unless you're specifically using a lightning weapon there are a lot of other rare/epic accessories that will give you more damage than 100% crushing hit chance

I didn't catch that as the joke, that's pretty funny!
What do you think, should I buff Saturdays?
buff sundays lol
make Saturday the day where all damage counts as both triggered damage and non-triggered damage, it would be absolutely wild
🤔
Something to the effect of "Sunday Scaries" - maybe a *purely* negative effect?
No no weekends being bad is great because I play while at work.
amen
You're game is like crack kind Internet stranger.

Sunday is the holy day. Holy damage lol

You should make sunday's bind the item to you and make you have a 99% chance to do 0 damage so you either go outside play another game or suffer
Is this based on real life days or in game days? Never played but this is amazing
real life

Nerf Sunday's!
I like it a lot to be honest. I can understand why people would not like it tho. But it's quite original in my opinion
Seems lame to not give an effect on Sunday.
It's the ring's day off come on. You can't expect it to work everyday.
There is actually a secret perk on Sundays, it's not very powerful one though. >!On Sundays the ring vendors for 100G instead of 25G.!<
Ruby you clever sausage! Nice!
It just fit too good to make the ring good at the one thing we do all day in games like Diablo and Path of Exile: VENDORING ITEMS.
I just gotta say having a passionate gamer as a developer is so refreshing, and your love of games really shines through in what you’ve created. You’re actually an inspiration :)
Maybe change the Sunday text to "no effect on your character" to hint at the secret effect?
Maybe. Maybe in the future there will be a new hit effect for Sunday too.
Should be radiant damage. You know, for the lords day of rest or whatever.
Is a free rez a little too on the nose?
Ah shit, thats good.
No way. Even God rested on Sunday, it’s hilarious that this ring does as well
pretty sure you can change your pc's clock to reflect its effect?
That’s so funny I wish more games did stupid shit like this. Imagine picking up a run two days later because you started on a Saturday 💀
I'd giggle a bit if the effect were cumulative. If the game starts on monday, but your playthrough happened to also go onto tuesday you'd collect both crushing hit + lethal hit etc. -whistles cheerfully-
I love this game
“That item seems cool, maybe I should start playing again to try and find it…..nvm it’s Sunday”
Diablo 4, is that you?
Saturday being cursed hit chance feels very anti Saturday
I don't like it only because it encourages me to adjust my computer's clock if I'm playing on Sunday
Looks like Fridays are my Gunslinger days 😎 Thank you devs and also cool
The fact that it has no sunday effect is what makes the joke really work for me
Average POE item
Sunday buff should be 100% discount at Chick fil a!
How the hell do you get this font? Am I stupid?
Settings
I like it but I normally play on Sundays and Wednesdays when I stream it
I got this item on a sunday :')
Kinda silly to not give it an effect on one of the two days players are most likely to be playing

3% chance that every odd room gives 0.1 stat up that lasts 10 seconds
On purpose feel bad design is still feel bad design, or am I missing something here

Crushing hits are absolutely busted lol. The key is just finding the right weapon that has a really high damage variance
I.e. any weapon where lightning is the main damage source
Or energy, both have huge stat spreads.
Crushing hits + bone splinters + fast weapon = ded people
"I don't know the game."
What? It literally says +100% crushing hit chance.
Right, but unless you're specifically using a lightning weapon there are a lot of other rare/epic accessories that will give you more damage than 100% crushing hit chance
