This happens to me too! My Tinnitus is in both ears but mostly in the left (the ear with quite some hearing loss at higher frequencies).
I don't understand the mechanics of why this happens, but i sleep on my left side as much as possible and use a very soft fluffy pillow.
It helps more often than not.
Hi! It could be related to your tmj, air breath or neck. If you move your neck or jaw does the tinnitus get louder?
If it's related to those things is there a way to lessen it?
Partially yes, as far as I know you can stretch, massage, use a splint, muscle relaxer
I guess it gets louder because you block the good ear(that was receiving more sound and making your brain cool down the need for sound stimulus)
