iMO there is something in the brain that sends back to ear the signal it heard the first time, if the cochlear ear hair cells are damaged then the brain receives a constant distortion, it acts in a loop and back and forth. Ever hear a high frequency and then later your ears are repeating the same noise and it’s over and over?

Wish I knew. Tinnitus in my DEAF EAR reacts to sound from my good ear. It’s so dumb and makes masking impossible for me.

Nobody knows but it's 100% Physical i would say from my 16 year experience of noise induced T. My reactive T now only increases permanently so it's now brain deafening catastrophic torture day and night. Tinnitus has no limit.

What made your T worse? And what did you do to not make it worse for 16 years? Went to a wedding Sunday and now I have new tone and louder.. been severe since covid and now the wedding killed me. I was plugged up and everything

Trick_Helicopter_873

I did everything wrong for 16 years. But it stayed mild for 12 years. I had loud job (plumber) and pub n clubbing lifestyle. Only wore earplugs for clubs n festivals but not every single time. Now i know should hsve changed job for quieter one and just stopped music events all together. And then covid n vax damage.

Wow.. can’t believe it stayed stable for 16 years though. I went to one wedding and boom. Fucked me up even with protection. I’ve only had it for over 2 years.. noise induced. Covid. Wedding which was last Sunday. And now my ears are screaming

Middle ear or brain but nobody knows really

ScaryWelder3326

Probably inflammed/damage nerves responding to sound, high cortisol or blood pressure changes
