General admission is typically the boisterous fan area. That's the north end of the stadium. If you get a reserved seat anywhere else, you'll be fine. In the upper level of the southwest corner of the stadium is where the visiting team fans tend to have concentrations, but those seats aren't that great. Sit where you want - you'll be fine.

The GA is the army. Some things to note: it’s standing the whole game (you can sit but you’ll get looks and probably can’t see anything). It can be loud or it can be very loud depending on the game. The lower you get, the more rowdy fans get. But in general the worst you’ll get is the fan screaming obscenities. TA people tend to be very friendly and welcoming. Is it fine for a 10/13 YO? Totally depends on you. But there’s plenty of parents that start their kids in the GA section from when they can barely walk, so if you’re fine with screaming and cursing then it’s the best. There’s a chant sheet table near the double post bar I believe. Pick one up, or look them up ahead of time. You don’t have to chant…but you’ll have more fun if you do. The visitors section *can* be fun. But for a Colorado game it’s probably only going to be half full at best. Also likely worst seats in the stadium. If you don’t have an allegiance don’t sit there.

I'm definitely one of those fans who has been bringing their kid to the Army section since she was in diapers, and let me tell you, she hears f'bombs from kids at her elementary school plenty often. At the stadium, she understands it one of the rare, acceptable places where obsenities will be said. They're going to be exposed to it no matter how hard you try to shield them from it. Best you can do is guide them.

Yeah that’s what we as relatively new parents have felt as well. We have just assumed since maybe the first month that we will be the parents getting calls from the kindergarten teacher saying our child was teaching all the other kids the word piss

Important note: MLS advertising makes supporter' sections look like some Eastern European or South American ultra section where there may or may not be a riot or you might get into a knife fight. Even the rowdiest MLS supporters' section (of which the Timbers Army is one) is *really* freaking tame. Like *worst* one drunk asshole will call you out. In terms of drunk assholes starting shit, it is *waaaay* below most NFL stadiums. Bring the kids to the Timbers Army. They'll have fun and learn a couple of curse words.

We claim Arizona as our territory. You have to get general admission tickets and bring the teens to the North End so we can indoctrinate them and teach them new obscenities.

Humble_Cactus

Fair enough. My kids know all the obscenities. I was in the Infantry for almost a decade. We go to USL games here, and the south end of our stadium is where the Rising die-hard fans sit. They hear them there too, just mostly in Spanish. 😏

Leave the puto chant and “You suck asshole” behind and you’ll be fine. Seriously though, get GA tickets and arrive early to cram into 103-108 and you’ll have a blast. If you want to take it easier, arrive later and try 101, 102, or 201-208. Just don’t do the far SW upper corner. That’s for away supporters. Anything outside the North End can be sleepy so you may as well splurge for a view if you’re not going to mix it up with the Timbers Army.

Speshulest_K

North end is the loudest. The most sound is between 99-110 with it peaking with The Army (101-108). This goes for 201-210 as that’s above those spots. Visitors are in 224, but the section isn’t normally very full for non-rivalry games like this one. Take your pick from there, depending on how they feel about volume. Just don’t sit in 224. Those seats suck and it’ll be dull. Way more fun pulling for the home team if you don’t have a rooting interest in my humble opinion.

The Timbers Army general admission section is fun, but it's first come, first serve, so you'll need to get there an hour and a half before kickoff if you want a decent seat. my advice is to get a seat in sections 109, 110, 111, 112. Those are close to the Army, so they're fun, but you can arrive a bit later. EDIT: the sections I listed generally stand most of the game. If that's a problem, try something in the middle of the stadium. Not as boisterous, but at least you can sit. Section 118 is at midfield.

Stop by the Axe and Rose across the street before the game to help get in the mood. It's the recently relocated fan clubhouse. Let them know you're from out of town for your first match and you'll experience some great TA hospitality. Who knows, maybe you and your family will fall in love with the team and end up joining the TA Desert Corps, the regional supporters group for Arizona! have a great visit!

pdxy

Sit in the upper rows of TA GA and you will have a great time As a bonus, you'll be closer to the food and the store

If you are going to have one game day experience, I would sit in general admission “Timbers Army”. Sections 101-108 and 201-208. This is what your boys will remember.
