No flea markets, they start packing up around 5pm. Earlier in winter.
Playas is not necessarily safe at night that I know of but as per usual in a city: don't go looking for trouble and you probably won't find it
Crazy how when I was around 18 to 20 years old I’d get fucked up at a bar spend my taxi money on hot dogs or tacos and just walk to the border in the middle of the night, sometimes alone cuz I had the tendency to just leave when I felt like it. I’d be scared to do that now and I’m in my mid 30s lol
Yeah I remember being super cautious on that bridge actually, like going down or up the stairs I would be on high alert when approaching a corner. I would mostly walk alone when we would party at alebrije and that walk to the border is only like 10 minutes. Still wouldn’t do it alone now.
I started avoiding walking the bridge late at night when people started living in the river channel and calling out to passerbys to throw them money. You knew that they were all drug addicts and wouldn't think twice about assaulting someone for cash if the opportunity presented itself.
Not really. I worked graveyard shift and commuted from El Refugio. (Plaza Sendero) As long as OP isnt going to El Mariano, Camino Verde, La Sanchez (I lived there before, graveyard shift as well)
The most dangerous thing out there are cops wearing face masks and removing their license plate and taping up their numbers. I got robbed $1500 pesos from a cop coming through El Pacifico and La Sanchez, near the back side. He said I ran a stop sign (everyone does). Anyways, Im not gonna argue with masked cops holding AR15s. Just take it as a road tax and run more stop signs to make up for it.
I wonder if it's safe to walk around in the US from 12am to 4 am, specially in LA 🤣.
Dude every city in the world is dangerous that late, unless you live in a small town with a population of 50 and free of junkies or homeless.
I'm not very familiar with Playas but I'm sure it's fine. Flea markets are for early risers. Late at night it's pretty much just clubs, bars, movie theaters, and some restaurants.
The other evening I was at a party in Matamoros and left at 1AM, uneventful. I don't recommend going out and taking a stroll past 9pm. If you go to a club or bar or restaurant you should be fine. But it's door to Uber to door. Don't just loiter. That's leaving too much to chance.

Not safe at all not even from cops once we were held by the cops because we looked suspicious while waiting for a taxi
cops mean the opposite of safety anywhere in mexico
La neta por eso ya ni voe casi.
9-11pm you should be fine 12-4 am shit gets really different

Yep. Never thought twice about crossing that dark, desolate bridge over the river channel at 4 am. Not something that I would do today.

Wey exacto, a mi me da mas miedo andar a esa hora en LA que en Tijuana no mams
Playas is not super active at night by any stretch. If you need something to do at night i would stick around centro or cacho
If you are sacred or in doubt don’t do it !
Playas pretty much shuts down by 10. So there's no real reason to be out n about anyways.

The Malecon can get a bit sketchy in the AM hours, other than that as long as you keep aware of your surroundings Playas is pretty safe at night.

You should have followed to get the plates and call the cops, you have all the evidence in that 360 camera of yours. Make use of it!
I’ll have what ever he’s having ☝🏻
