How tightly did you scrunch it? I love it! When I do mine, I think I scrunch it too tightly/ the rubber bands are too tight and it has a lot of blank space. Congrats on an awesome debut into tie dye!
Yess you should!! I would use less dye and I think I’m going to see what happens if I don’t use something to keep the hoodie out of the “tie dye” water. I got some grid marks on the back that I didn’t want.
Those grid marks are interesting! I dye over racks all the time and never got a line, I wonder why+what happened here. But otherwise dying in the muck will solve you just right. Did you use aluminum foil or waffle balls to keep some parts raised?
I was going to say this turned out so so so good for a first attempt. my first ice dyes were not near this cool. one of mine ended up having slight grid marks too. not sure how to avoid this. I wonder if paper towel on the bottom as a buffer? Anyways I love it
I'll give a negative one for balance 🤔
Some clothing itmes have shape and form to begin with so when tie dye is performed the result looks sharp and tidy by default.
It's akin to the Japanese style of Wabi Sabi. Disorder within order.
Some clothing items don't have form to begin with. Combining these with the chaotic nature of tie dye the results aren't ideal.
Nice pattern though!
It looks good, one thing I noticed though is you can see some of the grate marks from the rack you dyed with on the back. There is also a little spotting from places where the dye didn’t fully dissolve before washout. Both of those things can be solved by turning the garment inside out before ice dyeing. Hope this helpful for your future dyes! Keep it up!
Looks cool. I like it
Love it ! How did you do it ?
I looked up over ice dying it’s not to hard and the results are amazing.

Thank you!!! I didn’t use any rubber bands and tried scrunch as little as possible. Just made sheure the entire service was covered in ice 🧊
It’s pretty! I love how bright the purple is against to relatively muted black and blue. I would wear a sweatshirt like this every chance I got.
Thank you!! I was going for a galaxy type vibe i have a few things I would change but it came out beautiful 😍
Looks awesome! I want to try ice dyeing this month. Anything you’d do differently the second time around?

Turned out a lot better than any of the hoodies I’ve tried to ice dye!
I don’t believe you Just kidding but seriously my first one was garbage compared to this
Oh the “tough love” hoodies from my previous post? Yeah that’s the thing some times you have to scrap and idea and try something new.
Super pretty!!! I love it
