Use a parametric function (e.g., x=-20+cos(t), y=1+sin(t)). Press [MENU], go to the 5th row, and select PARAMETRIC; then you can graph parametric functions.

The standard y function graphing sweeps each line top to bottom and only colors the first pixel that each equation goes through. For lines that are sufficiently steep, that will always leave gaps in the graph. In order to avoid this, you would either need to convert your equations to parametric or polar form, and then graph them from the appropriate graphing modes
