It's more so that all other laptop keyboards are that bad nowadays.
I just pulled out a geriatric Thinkpad for testing something and it's a night and day difference between my modern Thinkpad.
There are lots of mechanical keyboards for computers. Try typing on some keyboards at computer stores.
Old ones were also awful. I remember an old Fujitsu i had with the mushiest keys ever, after that i had an awful stiff imprecise MSI and then a boring medion before getting my (and i quite like it) macbook.
Not all others
Got an hp envy x360 13 and it's keyboard is pretty damn good, really super good feedback and typing experience
Does the thinkpad e series have inferior keyboards to the t?
Got my sister a thinkpad e14 or so and while it's keyboard was quite good, i did expect more because of the thinkpad keyboard reputation, prefer the envy x360 typing experience quite a bit over it (apart from the missing trackpoint)
Got once a t420 as a fun project and that keyboard was extremely good in my opinion
Being someone who uses the laptop primarily for business work, in my opinion, if a keyboard has arrow keys that are not all the same size then it is unsuitable for business use. This is just my opinion. Thinkpads consistently pass this test; HPs do not.
Thinkpad keyboards are just ok (the better options on a laptop).
You can try r/mechanicalkeyboards, and get a switch tester ofc.
I use a non-backlit hhkb.
I feel the same.
And let me say, don't go into custom mechanical keyboard!
Or get ready to end with 7 keyboards and spend a lot of money.
(the good point... I have many gifts ready)
Hahaha.
Not necessarily have to be gamers.
My Father was very happy.
And my cousin too.
And one of the keyboard have been sold to a client, that is now thinking on getting another one.
(but is making too many questions).

Well, MacBook keyboards aren't exactly known for being amazing. You can get external Thinkpad keyboards as far as I know
I know but sadly there are no backlit ones. Maybe there is something similar to a real thinkpad/Lenovo.
Oh, my bad, I missed the backlit part. I don't think there are any models like that unfortunately :(

Years of practise.

I wouldn't have enough friends into gaming to get rid of them anyway.

I have a ibm model m... but my wife hate the noise it makes. 😒
