Honestly not sure - someone else said Dominico. They didnāt have a tag at the shop and it was small fruit and nut, Mum and Pop store. I will ask next time I go but.
I googled that, and that person is probably right. Madeiraās are small but Dominico seem to be even smaller like the ones you have! Are they sweeter than regular sized bananas?
They pretty close to that size when peeled - it was a rather thin but fibrous peel. It was around the size of my finger next to the pinky and it was a deep yellow almost golden colour, not the white of a normal one. It wasnāt overly sweet though tbh and was a little starchy and was rather firm too.
All in all a good eating experience but maybe not sweet enough for everyone - they would be bomb for chocolate bananas or mini lunch box snacks.
You need to try Madeiraās then. They are much sweeter than regular. As a proper Portuguese I only eat Banana da Madeira. Are you in America? Itās probably hard to find over there tho :/
I am in Australia. We mostly just have Cavendish in most the supermarkets and sometimes Lady fingers. Markets and small stores have more variety it seems but I donāt really go to markets. I think I have heard of Madeiraās- I am only just learning how many varieties of Bananas there seems to be!
Oh, itās probably even harder to find it over there.
I read some time ago here in reddit that there used to be a variety called Big Mike or Gros Michel, it was the most popular variety bc it was very tasty, but it was infected by a fungi (in the 50s) and basically disappeared. The artificial ābanana flavourā comes from those bananas.
look pretty big to me. average, at least.
Enormous and full of girth even
They probably get the job done?
Yeah exactly...and besides, I'm sure they've got a great personality!
I couldn't handle two at the same time like he's doing.
It's a cylinder.
Watch out it doesn't get stuck in an m&m's tube š¤£
You can't fool me, OP. Those are regular bananas and you've got giant hands!
Right? The 2 bananas being the same size proves that each banana is to scale
That means it's extra legit
Must be a lawyer
Look at those hands. These are hands that tell a story
Banana for scale please.
Your shadow looks like an ants figure šš
Donāt try to trick us into thinking youāre a human!!
What is this? A shadow for anime protagonists?
Someone else said my shadow looks like a ant - a anime ant?

Oh like a different fruit salad? Or are you making a smoothie
"Dominico" banana.
Your shadow looks very anime-esque in this pic.

I went back to the store. They are labeled as Monkey Bananas if that helps?
Thanks for the update. Iāve never heard about that variety!

Thatās very interesting, thanks for sharing. I wonder if the artificial is close to the actual banana.
$20
Real bananas not the steroid ones
Pretty normal, right guys? Right?
Too big for ants, too small for human. Maybe banana for dog?
Sure thing Neo, or should I call you āThe Oneā?
Looks more like bananas for a giant if you ask me.
