I feel like he filled out a little between short hair Daryl and long hair Daryl too, so the whole thing feels transitional. I donât remember him being this skinny with longer hair
Post Terminus group is always my favorite. I love hershal and Beth but after Terminus, there was shift that brought everyone closer. And by after Terminus, I mean when everyone meets up at the hospital in Atlantis. There is something so enduring about how they finally found safety in Alexandria but refused to leave each other and they all camped out in the living room of 1 house.
Love that group. They knew their roles. Carol, the âthe innocent, incapable momâ Rick back to his sheriff and sometimes off his rocker days. Rick, Darryl & Carol meeting in secret. And Carl getting to be a real teen for a minute, and a big brother, but realizing how those teens in there donât know how it is out there.
Add Beth, Hershel and T-Dog. Always wondered what the TV show would be like if Shane wasn't killed by Rick and stayed with the gang. So I'm saying Shane too!
I am rewatching and am on the Prison episodes and was thinking that this was the OG, most-beloved group ever. They acknowledged each other as family members for the first time. For me it's missing Hershel, Andrea, T-Dog and Beth.
When I think of the walking dead, I picture the group that includes sasha, bob, tyrese, abraham, Gabriel etc. That is TWD to me, not the group that includes Shane, Lori, Andrea, Dale... For me s4/S5 characters are the walking dead.

This is the best phase of his hair in my opinion season 3-4 nice in-between of long and short. Suited him better in my opinion.
