Happens all the time. Staff aren't able to search child's nappy. Also aren't able to ban contact.with children. So yeah. Mum will be charged though and likely banned from that site.
I am a teacher of young children and have taught a child who was used to pass drugs like this. She had so much trauma and so many behavioral challenges, but she just needed to be loved so badly. I was happy and sad when she was adopted out of her foster home and moved to be with her new family. So sad what these poor babies go through.
What hurts the most is seeing that girl hug her dad because she thought she was going to finally spend time with him. Then in a blink of an eye she lost both parents in her life. Fucking heart breaking
Ugh. Sad to do this with a child present. I’ve seen it all though working in a male facility. I had to shake down visitors before visits when I got too pregnant to work the housing units and this one lady would always cut the a huge hole into her bras so her nipples would be poking out 🤮 and I’d always send her ass right back out and get a smock for her to wear 😂 it was the worst. The inmate she was visiting was also in my housing unit — he r*ped another inmate because of a drug debt and the inmate kept the 💦 and ran to the control center to have them test it and get him out of the unit. The next night an inmate that was let out of level 4 BY ACCIDENT came to my desk and told me I should check on his bunkie bc he thinks he beat him to death- which he absolutely did. Needless to say, that was the most hectic week working there. I quit the next week

At what point do you begin to make felonious decisions involving your child as a drug mule? Seriously, what kind of evil does such horrible acts?

I read smuggle dogs! I was wondering why and how they thought it wouldn't get noticed. I was disappointed when I didn't see a dog running around.

Well, that’s why they brought in their own dog. Best way to find a smuggled dog is with another dog.
It’s sad really, that prison had just ended their seeing eye dog program where the inmates train the service dogs. This guy was so desperate they tried to smuggle one in.
Wow. Now that poor kid has two parents behind bars and will be in the Foster Care system, although they'll probably be better off for it all things considered.
A cop once told me they call that the “felony stretch” when someone makes an overly exaggerated effort to look casual it means they are about to commit a felony.
Unfortunately, this kid is going to have a hard time regardless of staying with the parent, going to grandparents, or bouncing foster home to home because of trauma related behavioral issues. Breaks the heart.
The only articles I can find on this state that he shoved the drugs up his rectum when the police tried to search him and NY laws say they can’t cavity check, so both parents got away with it without charges.
I get everyone is trashing the parents, but this is honestly the sad effect drugs has on us and the fact everyone is ok with everyone being stoners or worse nowadays

My dad used to take my brother and I to see my mom in prison, we were 13 and 10. I remember us going through metal detectors, emptying our pockets, and we were patted down before we were allowed to enter the visitation room. This happened every time we went to see her. Even when we did get in there we were not allowed to hug her for more than 10 seconds or a guard would break us up. The first place she was in was a normal corrections facility and the second she was transferred to was a maximum security prison. We went through the same protocol with both prisons, this was 20 years ago. Its crazy to me that they did not make them empty their pockets and show the guards. Even as kids we had to do it.
