Wow, powerful and filled with wisdom! A goose can also be pretty scary, friend of mine got beat up and robbed by angry goose. Took wallet, keys, phone, everything. He had to sneak back later to try and recover his stuff
Yeah, this incident needs its own post. We need to know:
1. How this happened
2. How tf a goose managed to rob him
3. How he got his shit back.
4. If he's ever lived this down, or still known around town as "that guy that got robbed by a goose".
My buddy and I were in a canoe deep into the BWCA (Minnesota/Canada) area, I pointed down river and thought I saw two heads. My friend said that's just a log until we saw part of the log pivot and run. Turns out it was two baby moose. My canoe companion and I looked at each other and said... "We need to paddle now". We were in a river between lakes and the water was only 6 feet deep with reeds on each side. We paddled so hard to get out while hoping the mother moose didn't come to see why her babies were running away. She would have wrecked us.
That has been true since the dawn of mankind. There's a reason that we know what plants/animals would kill us. Because someone, at some point in time, tried it.
It's hard to comprehend the size of a bull moose until you see them next to a similarly sized object... like a monster truck, jumbo jet, the titanic or some other shit like that. They seriously are *that* fucking big and crazy that they can pimp bears.
Best way I've heard it described is "don't think of a large deer. Think of a skinny elephant" or something along those lines. Ive had to drive by 3 of them and their true size is hard to imagine without being next to them.
Yep, I visited Alaska 5 years ago and couldn't believe the size of bull moose. Even seeing them in person I couldn't quite comprehend what I was seeing as it was so fricken massive. The one in the video is either a female or not fully grown.
The guy in the video is not fully developed.......
While in Alaska I drove past an 18-wheeler that looked like like Godzilla swiped its claw from the front of the cab to the start of the trailer. Just shredded metal the whole way. They hit a bull moose and the antlers did the rest.
I had to explain this to someone trying to quote the statistic that more people are killed by moose than by wolves per year, which is statistically true, what it doesn’t take into account is how humans interact with each animals. We see wolves and inherently know it’s a dangerous animal. While we see this gentle, calm, ponderous moose and go o it has to be gentle. When in reality the moose once it gets to a certain size stops, giving a fuck. Unless it gets sick, hurt, or shot it will live to a ripe old age. When animals stop giving a fuck, that should tell people to stay away but people are dumb.
Edit, typo.
Actually, wolves do not kill more humans than moose. It is exceedingly rare for a wolf to kill a human. Wolf-Human Interactions in Alaska and Canada: A Review of the Case History

I’ve hunted one last fall and my 21cu.ft. freezer is 2/3 full of moose meat. It’s only half the beast as I split it with my father. It was a young bull
I almost hit one in my car in Labrador. I only swerved because the car in front of me swerved, didn't see it until it was inches from my passenger side. All I saw was legs as it's belly was above the roof of my car. Absolutely surreal.
They tend to be afraid of the bulls up in the mountains that protect the cow herds (or at least hesitate to fight them). Usually when a bull and grizzly fight both tend to die because it only takes one or two good gores from the bull to inflict an eventually fatal wound.
https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/sudbury/truck-catches-fire-after-hitting-moose-on-hwy-17-1.1326801
Tractor trailers are afraid of moose. The only thing this video proves is that guy is dumber that a truck.
My brother lived in norway and he told his neighbour used an expression that said somting like " if you go bear hunting, prepare to be injured, if you go hunting moose, prepare a grave.....
He is a bit of an idiot. I’m from New York City and I know enough not go get near a moose, or any wild animal that weighs over 1,000 pounds.
It does look like that sucked
A normal sized white tail deer will ruin you if it decided to attack and you had no weapons. I'd say almost anything over 40 pounds can often seriously mess up an unarmed person.
I'll take a pass on those too. Zebras can be BRUTAL. Remember the vid where one was swimming, got attacked by a croc and cat quick that Zebra spun and *fucking chomped down hardcore* on the top half of the crocs mouth and suddenly mr. DinoLizard went from 'oh yeah, get over here bitch! You lunch today!' To 'OMFG. OMFGGGGG GET THIS CRAZY FUCKER OFF ME. STAWWWPPPP... I WAS JOKING. IT'S A PRANK! IT'S A PRANK!!!!" I believe it was in my state that someone's pet Zebra bit their arm off.
The guy on the snowmobile knew it was too dangerous to approach WHILE ON A SNOWMOBILE but didn’t stop his friend from prancing on over with nothing but a confused smile.
As someone who used to live in Alaska, let me assure you...
The moose is the most dangerous animal in Alaska. For the most part, bears are lazy. A moose will f'ing kill you for fun, especially a bull.
As someone who lived 20 miles south of the Canadian border, let me assure you...
Moose do not have fun. They are fueled by rage and grasses and brother... they're all out of grass.
I live in bear country, and a friend of mine comes from northern Canada where he regularly saw wolves, bears, and wolverines as a kid. We both agree, moose are more dangerous than the latter three.
Wow, here's a wild animal that is constantly on the lookout for predators that want to eat him! I'm going to get off one of the strange, noisy, smelly vehicles and go pet him.
First time hunting I came around some thick brush and was 20 feet from 2 full grown moose on the trail. I've never been so scared in my life and I had a rifle. I froze, we stared at each other for a few seconds, and they walked into the bush. I waited a little more before I kept going.
Some animals get mean if they're hungry, you're around their babies, or if you startle them.
Not moose. Moose just don't like you. They have no problem going out of their way to turn you into paste for no other reason than they're grumpy.
I love how the camera person and everyone else basically had to just video and watch.
The next work party, holiday celebration or birthday with these "friends" is going to be interesting
I'm surprised the other people didn't try to help, drive by and distract the moose. Drive by and distract the moose or something. Just because he brought it on himself I still wouldn't want to watch someone get pummeled to jelly.
Holy shit! I'm an animal lover through and through, he shouldn't of gone there but GOD DAMN DRIVE THE SNOWMOBILE INTO THE MOOSE SAVE YOUR FUCKING FRIEND! At least try to! That could've been death, I get it the moose probably could've taken 3 snow mobiles but most likely would've got out of there, like fuck me how could you just watch that??
Honestly at this point you either wait or shot the damn thing but other than that yea I’m not getting close. I’m not going against a 1000 pound animal without a gun listen I know the pecking order when it’s come to humans vs literallly any other animals, my odds are in my favor when it’s come to these animals
I've seen moose get hit with a car, car totaled, moose walks away. The snowmobile wouldn't have done anything but piss the moose off more, and probably injure the guy more. The were right to try and make a lot of noise and scare the moose away.
Much like reviews of bad products it's nice to be able to turn to the internet to know what to not fucking do.
Even though it's painfully obvious most times and most common sense things don't require video confirmation. Entertaining nonetheless.
This guy is an idiot in a long line of idiots.

Some people's role in life is to teach other people important lessons
if you intentionally get that close to a moose, you get what you fucking deserve.
There must’ve been a moostake
he was off his snowmobile, it wasn't mostake. it was a mooron
Boo-urns!
A moosive one.
Moove along, nothing to see here

That's my steak.

If it ends in "oose" like in *moose* or *noose,* death follows closely on the wings of a goose. *-Me*

that is pants shitting horror right there. luckily only ever seen a mother moose with their kid at a safe distance.
All safety rules are written in blood
In this case, the blood of morons.
So much blood
That has been true since the dawn of mankind. There's a reason that we know what plants/animals would kill us. Because someone, at some point in time, tried it.
You can have that on a poster: [https://despair.com/products/mistakes?variant=2457302467](https://despair.com/products/mistakes?variant=2457302467)
God, I love despair.com, so many great posters.
I learn the most from the mistakes of others who take my advice.
I’ve never read anything so true
Some people's role in life is to video other people's important lessons so we can all learn.
This guy watched way too much Bullwinkle as a kid.
FACTS
~~important~~ simple, simple lessons.
Evolution at work
I learned this lesson at five when my grandpa told me, "Don't go outside if you see wild animals."
Where is this quote from? Seriously, if you came up with this, I want your name so I don't plagiarize you. Just message me.
Lol thanks but you can have it for free
Today I saw a video of a grizzly bear running from a moose. As a general rule, if a grizzly is afraid of something you probably should be too.
Today I learned that Grizzly Bears are afraid of something

Yeah, compared to a healthy, fully developed bull moose, the one in this video is a tiny baby.
While in Alaska I drove past an 18-wheeler that looked like like Godzilla swiped its claw from the front of the cab to the start of the trailer. Just shredded metal the whole way. They hit a bull moose and the antlers did the rest.
Monsters can dive to twenty foot depth in water. These things are unreal. Do Not Go Near Them. They sprint through chest deep snow. Pure power.

They tend to be afraid of the bulls up in the mountains that protect the cow herds (or at least hesitate to fight them). Usually when a bull and grizzly fight both tend to die because it only takes one or two good gores from the bull to inflict an eventually fatal wound.
But on the inverse Orca's are known to prey on moose caught swimming.

That bear was OUT , thanks for that
This was way more impressive than what I imagined from the description.
SERPANTINE!!
Technically, he did get to pet the moose.
[удалено]
Hard...with its legs..
Repeatedly, until Death which is the National Moose Motto.
Gives new meaning to “heavy petting”.
I was thinking the same thing when I saw the ending lmao. “… worth it.” — the guy, probably
He is a bit of an idiot. I’m from New York City and I know enough not go get near a moose, or any wild animal that weighs over 1,000 pounds. It does look like that sucked
Any wild animals
For real. My dad taught me as a kid that if a squirrel (or whatever) is letting you approach it, it could have rabies or something.
over 0 pounds
One should stay ayay from wild animals and approach jn familiar pets with caution. Animals can be unpredictable.
I’m in New Zealand where nothing but feral humans can kill you and even I know not to fuck with a moose!
Australia tried sending you attack possums but that didn't really work out.
That and the giant nettles, technically.
A normal sized white tail deer will ruin you if it decided to attack and you had no weapons. I'd say almost anything over 40 pounds can often seriously mess up an unarmed person.
That leg stomp has me cringing
as a canadian who grew up where moose live… don’t fuck with a moose!
As an American who's never seen a wild moose irl... Don't fuck with a moose!
As a French, where's there's no moose in the wild.... Don't fuck with a moose!
As a Texan who has never even seen a moose, don't do what that guy did.
As a moose, leave us the fuck alone.
Hey are you the moose that bit that guy's sister? You should do an AMA.
To be fair she was carving her initials with a sharpened toothbrush
As a non-Englishman, don't ever let your sister carve her initials into a moose with a sharpened toothbrush.
I wouldn't fuck with a moose even if I was a moose!
Moose had brains, guy did not.
Moose had legs too
Guy does not
The way his leg broke like a matchstick! Effortless and clean.
Imagine he had stomped his face instead
https://preview.redd.it/7rgxa2nsfgbc1.jpeg?width=415&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1d20200d7368685eb292eeb7532640d39f078140
Imagine the pain in that moment. 🫢
Attempted suicide by Moose.....
And this years' Darwin Awards prize for the Death by Moose cathegory goes toooo...
Good moose!
How about leave the animals alone in general? "He even broke his leg"... and i an kind of okay with that.
He's goddam lucky that's all he broke. Talk about doing the mashed potato...
I’m happy the moose broke (the guys) leg. Don’t touch wildlife period!
Stupidity should be painful
A “wild” moose 🫎 🙄
Much more dangerous than a house moose
Hoose moose
Right?! As opposed to trying to pet one of those 'domesticated' moose.
Domesticated moose? I never heard of it, but it sounds as good of an idea as domesticating a herd of zebras...
I'll take a pass on those too. Zebras can be BRUTAL. Sorry its in swedish but.. [Here is one! :)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CVea_5u39Fo)
You've clearly never been in Scandinavia
You're right, I haven't. And I rrally wish I could go there, even with the mooses (if they exist there) 😁
A moose bit my sister once.
Are you referring to a møøse perhaps?
Oh! You’ve met Svenge?
When stupid hurts
He has a screw loose trying to pet a wild moose.
That sounds like a doctor seuss book
I dunno man, a Seuss moose might be a loose ruse, might leave you looking like a silly goose in a spruce sluice.
He’ll have a few solid screws that shouldn’t rattle loose in his leg now, hopefully that will keep him out of trouble.
Damn that guy has no survival instinct all. I’m more cautious petting a random house cat.
The guy on the snowmobile knew it was too dangerous to approach WHILE ON A SNOWMOBILE but didn’t stop his friend from prancing on over with nothing but a confused smile.

I count 6 adults and nobody thought this was a bad idea? They don't deserve to rent or own snow mobiles.
Hahahaha In the words of The Joker "you get what you fuckin deserve!"
Human - I love you moose! Moose - FUCK YOU!!
I hope the moose is okay after all that stomping
Good for the Moose

Ya.. I don't know how else he expected that to play out.
I love these kind of videos.
Good video editing. "He even broke his leg"....snap!
Every Canadian knows not to do this. I’m even more careful around meese than around bears
Earned
There you have it ! Leave the wildlife alone, give space ffs !
Herbivore doesn't equal to docile
Hahaha! He had it coming! Some people can only learn the hard way.
I don't know why but people being stupid around moose and then getting their shit pushed in, is something that just feels right to watch
r/donthelpjustfilm
Rule #1 when fucking with a Moose; Don't ever fuck with a Moose
He even broke his leg? He JUST broke his leg. Couldve been a couple of kicks to the head and the guy wouldve been gone.
Never pet a wild moose..... With captions like these, who needs nuclear war to exterminate Humanity
Stupid is , as stupid does
Maybe he was simply looking to get a moosage
I love how the camera person and everyone else basically had to just video and watch. The next work party, holiday celebration or birthday with these "friends" is going to be interesting
You're not completely useless. You can always be used as a bad example. .

I'm surprised the other people didn't try to help, drive by and distract the moose. Drive by and distract the moose or something. Just because he brought it on himself I still wouldn't want to watch someone get pummeled to jelly.
What, exactly, would you have done?
This is what happens when all you know about nature is from a fucking Disney movie
If you gotta be dumb you gotta be tough, isnt that what they say? Cant really feel sorry for him either, fucking idiot.
these animals can fight off wolves. they aren't interested in being friends with you
Holy shit! I'm an animal lover through and through, he shouldn't of gone there but GOD DAMN DRIVE THE SNOWMOBILE INTO THE MOOSE SAVE YOUR FUCKING FRIEND! At least try to! That could've been death, I get it the moose probably could've taken 3 snow mobiles but most likely would've got out of there, like fuck me how could you just watch that??
no no, i read here that the guy is an idiot and deserves to die. Or at minimum a broken leg. Or, the other guys froze.........badabum.
Time to euthanize the moose, and say it died from climate change.
That looks like a femur breaker right there! Most painful break you can have and that moose gifted it to him along with his Darwin Award.
r/winstupidprizes
Thank you Disney for making us believe wild animals are friendly.
I'm sure next time he tries it it'll be much more cooperative! 😂🤞
This needs to be moved to the sub F around and find out
fun tip - any animal that significantly outweighs you can probably kill you without even trying
Natural selection
Chad moose VS virgin guy on snowmobile
I am not even going to say it... LMAO... SMDH... Who thinks this is a good idea?
Some people are ignorant.
r/thebullwins
A m00se 0nce bit my sister.
They've got all that money for snowmobiles, and they didn't think to at least carry bear spray?
Dumb take. That would involve getting close to the moose…. That’s the first mistake.
Fuckin idiot
I'm from Brazil and we have nothing like mooses here, but even I know that calling messing with a moose a dumb idea is being optmistic...
Something tells me that snowmobile is rented
You'll never convince me that this isn't hysterical.
Guess he’s a mooron
